Appreciate the fact that there is no profanity during your show. I can safely watch conversation about Notre Dame football with my family in the room. Thank you for that.
I'm from Omaha, the same home of Xavier, so I've followed his career pretty closely. I am so pleased with him establishing himself as a great player. He went through some adversity ... yo-yoing between WR and S ... and came out as a stud. Good for him.
@@AngeloTortellini A cogent point. For those who may not realize it, not only is Traore a highly recruited and incredible gem that has those sorts of values that made him a must have and potential 'get' for ND (academics, faith, family and coach-instilled values), but his high -school-teammate Guerby Lambert, was one of the latest big time commits for '24 who also chose ND over Ohio State and other big contenders. HE is yet _another_ physical monster who, even setting aside his top-rated skills, is the sort of human-being we will all be proud to have as a representative of what ND should stand for.
@@Dimwitland Both guys are amazing prospects & people, absolutely. The fact that both are from the seldom-recruited state of Massachusetts makes their recruitments that much more interesting and unique, certainly! ☘️💪🏽
No. Caleb did not take full responsibility. He basically said ND defense is what he saw on film before and he missed some throws that he normally makes. Not once did he give credit to ND's game plan nor ferocious plays.
Cheers guys! Thanks for the fun cast. No one will probably see this commentary, and if they do well and good, but I feel it is required that I append three comments to the post-game show that made me finally sub you guys. 1)Yeah, a victory over USC has and will cause Irish faithful to do rash things any time it happens, but I feel after watching your casts a couple of weeks - with you guys going WAAAY over on your live broadcasts, that me finally pressing the subscribe button just now is not one of them (for me at least). Now, to balance that, I am going to go out on the back porch here in Arizona at what is only slightly past midnight and smoke a fantastic cigar I bought for just this possibility while I sip on some Drambuie, and drink until I fall asleep and get covered by all the scorpions that live behind my yard... 2)Caleb Williams: I was at the game last year. Yes it sucked. It sucked to be THERE, and it was made far worse by some of the worst behavior by him that I have witnessed from the stands in terms of what is and is not good sportsmanship, what is and is not childish hooliganism, and so much of what is wrong with college football in the way we are educating our people by anti-role-models like him. I do not know the truth or the true depth of whatever pro bono stuff he may do beyond what the PR flaks require of him, but I _saw_ him laughing at our defense players prancing about like a six year old and gesticulating with his painted nails like a [insert your preferred fairy creature here]. He, his antics, and those who empower them are a plague on college football. I eagerly await their entry into the NFL where they can join the rest of the people I no longer watch, and mimic the WWW federation that he apparently wandered off from. 3)The offense is still a cypher. It subsists on big plays for the most part and it is the rare drive that has a consistent and inexorable feel to it over something like, say 7, 8, 9 plays. We still don't know if this is available on demand because, mostly, the defense handed the ball over to the offense in USC territory or nearly. I will agree it appeared to be run and called better than last week, but it should be pointed out that we were 3 of 10 on 3rd downs vs USC's 6 of 13... Sure they needed more because they had worse field position, but they also lost by FOUR TOUCHDOWNS and had more yards and 23 1st downs to our 13. Sure, they're just numbers, and 'yards don't matter, points matter...' but it feels a little shaky to hang our hat on a series of offensive stats that show us far inferior in last night's game to the team we just waxed... Some things are hard to explain. More study is needed before we give credit to, either, what might reflect real learning and work, or... --- magic ! 😉
Weird game, granted. That's some really fancy postin' you got there.. especially for a feller with a handle such as your'n! Howdy pardner and welcome to the ranch! YeeHaw!! 🤠
Yes! Get Price and Love making all the kick returns. It has to be your home run hitters back there. Get them carries on the edge with the option since sustained drives isn't going to be a strong point going forward with Hartman's accuracy issues. Get as many chunk plays as possible.
Well... tbh, actually Pitt was 1 and 4 when they started the game against L'ville, so they were beaten by a 1 and 4 team to GET to 2 and 4 - which somehow to my mind seems even more PITTiful... LMAO😅 (Loving that divine football justice...)
Win is a win, however I would not get to excited. D played great, O is still not clicking. 251 yards against a team that cannot spell defense, 3/10 on 3rd down should be an alarm. Bye coming just at right time.
@@GMS8201yep. It's great to see the team win after the battle of the last 3 games they've been through. Now they have a bye week to get some rest and refocus
@@jasonwarnock8992I guess everyone knows there is more potential but a win against a high ranked team is still great after the last 3 weeks. Obvious takeaways: It's clear that Jack Plummer is a superior quarterback to Caleb Williams. Also, Al Golden should be fired for giving up that option touchdown. Terrible defense lol
Objectively speaking, USC beat themselves more than ND won. Turn the ball over five times (bad throws) deep in your own territory and you’re going to lose. Simple as that.
@@exomake_mehorololo Meh. The overwhelming consensus outside of the ND inner circle is that Williams played an absolutely terrible game. He made some really bad throws and poor decisions. Deep in SC territory no less.
🤣🤣🤣 another dumb take. The defense did its job and had Caleb running around all night forcing him to make dumb passes but of course a moron like you didn't see that.

Watts created 3 touchdowns! And ended the game with a forced fumble! Bossing it up. Hart was the man that USC didn't want to go at!

Josh Burnahm has flashed and gotten a lot of pressures on a very low snap count there is some RAW pass rush potential in the DL room .
He will be a force but the guy I love the most is Traore. He has great size and incredibly long arms and has potential to be the best of the bunch.

Are you telling me a walkon is best you have?
Yeah I think the offense was lacking a little bit. I'm only punted like six times on top of all the good things that happened. That's a lot of punts
