Awesome! I noticed he didn't say what foil he was downwinding on. I wonder if that's because it was a Axis foil. Armstrong unfortunately is lacking DW foils. Need a HA with a low stall speed! Like the Axis PNG 1300. Come on Armstrong! Make some foils for DW already! 😎🤞🤞

HA with low stall speed is my next mission. I'm a Kiwi but not associated with Armstrong though. Pretty clear about how it will look though! My current HA low stall speed foils do that part great, I just have to tweak for a bit more speed.

@@fluiditynz Compare your foil to the Axis PNG 1150 and PNG 1300. Make something that has a similar or better speed range and you got a winner. 😎🤙

@@flightjunkie808 My smallest design is an AXIS black fuse compatible 765 sqcm foil. It still amazes me I can ride it under my 115kg. But it will drop out under my weight if I don't keep the speed up on slow waves. It's very lift optimised and is very low drag in it's sweet spot but at the cost of not having the high end. That's what I'll be working on, but in something closer to 1200sqcm for my go-to foil size.

@@fluiditynz I'm working on DW SUP and flat water paddle up skills. So a big HA foil with low stall speed is what I'm wishing Armstrong had. Been riding my friends PNG 1150 and it's super easy to rock start and DW and I can just barely flat water paddle it up.
