Trades are always great - you move along stuff that no longer interests you and you typically get some cash and/or new treasures. I applaud your forthright honesty in regards to reproduction stickers & items with the Falcon you were trading in as well. Good #CollectorKarma 👍 It's cool that your dad passed on his love of Star Wars & Kenner Star Wars collecting too. That's a wonderful thing to have in common & be able to bond over. This Rebel Transport looks amazing - super clean with great stickers. Nice that it had some of the accessories too. What a fantastic pick up!! It's always a good feeling when you look over your purchase and don't find any unwanted surprises. This one doesn't disappoint Al.
Your video made me wanna buy a rebel transport ship, my first one and I have been collecting for over 50 years. Not complete but very clean, great stickers, and most everything inside, just the black bottom compartment and a few other items, But yes, great price I thought $60 all in !!!!!!!! Also ended up getting 2 X-Wings, one clean so I can rebuild, and one very nice, really good price on Ebay !!!!!!!!! The force is with us, If you believe !!!!!!!!!! Thanks for a great channel !!!!!!!!!
As I get older and having become disabled a while now all sculpt skill of Star Wars toy designers amazes me. It must have been so daunting a task for those people to deliver
For Xmas in 1982, I got both the Rebel Transport and the Rebel Snowspeeder. I was absolutely elated. I thought that I must have been really good that year or something for Santa to bring me that. I now have no idea how my parents were able to afford that much stuff that year, but they did. No idea how much they cost back then, but we had no money, so that was a very special Xmas for me, probably one of the best I ever remember.
I used to have this long spaceship, looking submarine thing. I used to love this as a toy growing up with all the different characters that would sit inside the grey plastic tray that goes inside.. great to see another one it’s been a good +30 years since I’ve seen this toy
My best friend used to have one as a kid, that thing was huge we used to. Call it the flying pickle.. I finally got one for myself a few years ago only thing missing was the cannons, but for 25$ at the Swap Meet not bad.. the guy selling it told me "Please take care of it I've had it since I was a kid"
Congrats on the Transport. Here in germany back in the day we saw those things only on the cardbacks. Some time i thought, they were never even made, because i never seen the transport, the vader figure display, star destroyer playset... but then, in highschool, there was a guy who had everything. He has had playsets of Hoth i have not even seen on the cardbacks.
What a nice trade that was. I am older so I grew up with Kenner in the 70s and 80s. It is cool that you got into the older stuff because your dad got you into it.
This ship looks great, glad you you’re able to add it to your collection. Never had it as a kid to play with but did pick it up as an adult around 1990 when you bought SW stuff sight unseen from sketch ads in fan magazines! I cherish my (almost complete) vintage SW collection but sadly it sits in storage as I have no room to display it all.
I had that ship as a kid X-mas 1982 when I was 4 years old. Like all my old Star Wars toys it got destroyed over the years hence forth why they are so valuable to collectors. Man talk about old memories.
Of course, I understand how the real world works and things have to be done, but even WITH extras, it killed me to part with classic AND POTF stuff, but, it helped you get the transport so cool. NEVER had one either.
Vintage for Life! The transport was something we just used as an extra carrying case. Althouth it had weapons, I don't think it did much damage to the Empire in Empire ;) Cool to see the stickers. Mine came off in the pool. Nice clean pickup! I was born closer to your Dad's age, a year betore things got a little wild. If he's as cool as you seem, we would have talked for hours about the OG Kenner line, like my friend Colin, With a boxed Paliyoy D.S.!!! Living in Canada, we had some cool rare Paliyoy Sub and Like with beamed aboard by rebel spies. I don't want to seem racist but I think the spies are Bothans. ;)
That thing looks sharp! It was well taken care of. I never had this as a kid. Don't think I even knew it existed until much later when I started collecting again. Good find!
I still have my original rebel transport with the box. It makes for a good figure storage case, plus storage areas for accessoires under the cockpit seating. It was a nicely thought out ship.
I found one of these at a goodwill a couple weeks ago with everything almost complete only missing the two front and back panel pieces but mine came with extra backpacks and oxygen masks hidden in the compartments! I paid $4.00 for plus tax for mine which I was blown away by don’t know if I wanna keep or sell yet but your is very clean 🔥 awesome ship very lowkey StarWars vehicle
Wow! Didn’t know the transport was collected! Thanks for the video. I have the box in excellent condition if you’d be interested in buying? I can email pics!
Cool video mate. I had the rebel transporter when I was younger, cool toy to have. Now it's got me thinking about collecting the old kenner star wars line. Trouble is, I want to finish the kenner real gb first. But after that I think it will be star wars.
i buyd that cheap, from GB ,the shiping 25 gb pound was more expesniv then the tranporter , i realete it as the most best colectors box they made , my frist do was to trop the canaon section in the waste and order that austrlian made replacementstickes for it on ebay, it keeps my not dispaly figures in wellcondition , and serv space for the stands ect / isee low playability on it just more as box .
Some ppl love it and some hate it. It’s ok though and as far as rare I mean finding it with the stickers and everything else can be a pain sometimes so idk if that makes it rare to be honest.
I feel what you’re saying. Some ppl hate this thing and that’s ok we all have certain things we like to collect and I think that’s awesome! I love seeing other ppl showing off their collection! Some ppl go crazy over certain things.

If you were the right age and a hardcore collector.
You treated your "toy's", like the gold in fort Knox
Cheers from Canada
Congrats on the Transport.

Great ship! I still have mine from childhood with the box.

Awesome score dude! Hasbro hasn't remade that ship. So if there's one to get, that's the one! Beautiful piece! Congratulations! Rock on!
I have always wanted one of these but could never find one for a reasonable price. I would be happy even with a re-release at this point. Great find!
That thing looks sharp! It was well taken care of. I never had this as a kid. Don't think I even knew it existed until much later when I started collecting again. Good find!
it's awesome to see someone get such a great piece! i love your passion brother!
beautiful piece! there's such a weird jank to the scale of the kenner figures, i love it. the stickers look fabulous!
I had this ship when I was a kid. I used it as a carrying case and transport. Nothing beats the original Kenner line. It's still the best.
I still have my original rebel transport with the box. It makes for a good figure storage case, plus storage areas for accessoires under the cockpit seating. It was a nicely thought out ship.
just subscribed... great channel mate 👍
Great video. Inspired me to watch The Empire Strikes Back to check out the movie version of your ship. ❤
Conseguí el Rebel Transport este año 2023. Siempre quise esa nave, diría que es mi favorita. Saludos desde Perú

I had this! It was freaking awesome! 🤩👍
3:30 you are in the withdrawal pose from the prices 😂
I used to have that but SF airport security "lost" it and all my other toys. Somewhere it there some airport security guards kids were very happy.
Good score buddy congrats
Cool video and cool 🤙 ship! I subbed as well!

Looks great top ship😮
Fantastic!
Very nice thumbs up 😊
I saw one at Goodwill last week. It was missing stuff. Left it there.😮
Good find. I’d love to collect all the vintage ships but it’s a space issue (no pun intended)
Just subscribed ❤️
I got this thing for Christmas one year, asked for the falcon but it had sold out.
Cool it's still got escape door😮
Gratz!
Sheeeeitt I still have mine …and the box
i buyd that cheap, from GB ,the shiping 25 gb pound was more expesniv then the tranporter , i realete it as the most best colectors box they made , my frist do was to trop the canaon section in the waste and order that austrlian made replacementstickes for it on ebay, it keeps my not dispaly figures in wellcondition , and serv space for the stands ect / isee low playability on it just more as box .
42 years later? Better late than never!
I always wanted to buy this as a kid with my paper route money, but could never pull the trigger. I kick myself still.
Is this rare? I have one at home, compete except for one ion cannon and the backpacks.
Some ppl love it and some hate it. It’s ok though and as far as rare I mean finding it with the stickers and everything else can be a pain sometimes so idk if that makes it rare to be honest.
Saw this at classic toy store
I wonder if I am related to her as a Fletcher myself
Is this Benicio del torro's kid?
Lol I shop there as well, but for G.I.joes......
Definitely a really nice family that owns the store!
Better than putting all that plastic in a landfill I guess
Repro stickers vs Original stickers, I say repro. They’re just stickers.
The first transport is away!
I looking for Darth Vader star destroyer 😮
Trading a falcon for a transport doesnt seem like a good deal.
When you have multiple falcons and not one transporter it’s definitely worth it
That looks like a really crummy toy for a kid.
had it as a kid, it kinda sucks
I got this as a kid and it was the most boring toy ever
its a horrible toy. the mold doesnt even make sense. looks nothing like it. get the micro machines 90s troop transport. that one is good. this is junk
I feel what you’re saying. Some ppl hate this thing and that’s ok we all have certain things we like to collect and I think that’s awesome! I love seeing other ppl showing off their collection! Some ppl go crazy over certain things.
I have two that are complete
