During the recording of this song, there was a few screams in this song. When it says "cry for war" and "forever more", but they removed them. That's why they scream in that part when they play this song live.

Jan Frech Gee is a damn good replacement honestly. And I think his sound is the biggest thing I have a hard time liking about him. Dave always had great sounding kits.

I miss when ZP could actually sing, the ultra beatdown tour was a mess. All his drinking and more specifically, his smoking made is voice lose some of it’s magic.
I don't hear a talk box on the backing vocals. I think they may have used a dynamic microphone for those backing vocals which is why it can sound kinda like the way you described. If that's not the case then maybe they had the singers stand a few feet away from the mic during the backing vox recording. But I think the dynamic mic is more likely. Use a full range mic for the lead singer to help push him forward in the mix while the dynamic mic for backing vocals is more natural way to eq out the highs which in turn makes them sound more boxy like a radio.
