Looking at a modern city but without advertisements and stores and cafes everywhere is really therapeutic.
and junkies and criminals

a "modern city" not sure about that one boss.
@@Leaferr Okay kid.
Mas jaka, memberi kita informasi yg penasaran dengan north korea. Apa yg diberitakan media barat selalu memburukkan north korea. Tapi inilah kehidupan mereka sebenarnya. Sama seperti negara2 lain. Saya rasa disana orang2nya lebih sehat2. Selalu support mas jaka. Salam dari malaysia.
This country has always been so interesting yet mysterious to me. Thanks for your videos mate keep it up
It's like a really big zoo
@@arleigh31burke-zc2om Id say more like a prison
its probably because its so mysterious thats its so fascinating

there’s so much more traffic than what i expected! as always, thank you for sharing
this is ONLY in pyongyang. dont think its like this anywhere else in that country
@@danielb.1567zzz it looks very dark, imagine the rest of the country. I bet they do get some of the best night skies though.
It must be tourist season 🤣
@@danielb.1567 cuz pyongyang has the most citizens of all. the province with the most citizens is south pyongan. so theres not really much traffic when you compare it to other nations as their cities are not as crowded as cities like ex: Jakarta . (ryanggang has the least citizens of around 700k)
Meanwhile big cities in capitalist nations have to deal with awful traffic congestion everyday. Too many traffic is not good as well.
Thank you for everything you do. I am from Saudi Arabia and I love your channel🌹
Thank you Jaka! Very interesting as always.
glad to have new content! welcome back Jaka!
Thanks for sharing. Love all your North Korean videos. Your so much better than CNN. Keep them coming.
Just about anything is better than CNN
This country always draw my attention to seeing and knowing more
Thank you for sharing video 😊
Amazing footage. 😮
SO much more traffic than older videos.
Many of the articulated trolley buses look very new.
My guess is that this is early evening, dark early because it's winter.
The lights on the buildings are still on.
Isn't there a curfew in Pyongyang, like 10 pm or something?
@@Petegyu tell that to Davy, he doesn't believe ya
@@Petegyu So go and live there.
@@Petegyu I've been there, it was totally dark outside, even in Pyongyang, except for the Juche Tower.

I did not expect to see that amount of traffic! Nice work on the horn lol.

Looks better than many countries ive visted
Never would I have thought that I would wat h dashcam videos from North Korea
Saluds from Brazil, comrade!
I agree with everyone else! I never expected to see that many cars.
people here are not lazy i guess..low crimes im sure, no bars no clubs, no drugs,no gang.. no zombie in the street..America left the group.
looks incredibly quite for a capital city compared to my hometown in indonesia which basically just a small farmer town
It's like normal thing night city but more dark
Thank you. (traffic girls not working night?)
Love your channel, it’s always interesting you have access to youtube from North Korea 😂 I feel like if they find out it’s over…
I don't think Jaka is actually in NK. Germany I think - just gets videos FROM NK.
He posted all his videos after he left north korea. North korean internet only connects to other north koreans. He's an indonesian citizen so he just posted everything after he got back to indonesia
Mas jaka balik lg ke korut yaa? Setelah sekian lama vakum video ttg lingkungan korut. Sering2 aplod ya mass 😃
The stark differences between the DPRK and their ROK brethren is astonishing.
It's like stepping into the 50s. Their capital city's downtown is so dark.
surprisingly many people on the streets for a night time, looks more like an evening rush hour
When was It taken ?
More traffic than before but roads seem to be as bas as before
The footage is probably a few years old since iirc he was in NK in 2019
What kind of car do/did you own over there?
Looks dystopian and creepy
You're brave.
They wouldn't of hurt him. He was an indonesian government worker working at the indonesian embassy in the DPRK. Unlike the US and NATO, Indonesia isn't hated and considered an enemy. They kinda just let him do whatever since they had no reason to fear indonesia.
Pls.post more the life in countryside specially inside a house during their meals
pretty close to what most midwest cities look like but without the homeless camps
What time at night was it.?
Greetings from Germany ✊
About 6 pm
@@jakaparkerbaru jam 6 sore, gelapnya udah kayak jam 9 malam di Jember. 😅😅
Is this really pyongyang? I never thought there are lots of cars there☺️
Thank you very much for giving me this video Please, give me a review of north Korean tv channels if you could.
They have just one TV channel 😅
@@TheGesoxno no no. They have 3 tv channels. The main channel, education channel, and sports channel.
@@yoviealamsyah4843 ok three then probably one more than Western Germany in the 60ties😁
It is so strange that the speakers of the car is silent. No radio, no music at all. Apart from this, everything seems normal.
See its not that bad as you can see there is no struggle the north is in the best shape of its life! Woooooo!!! Lol
Are there always so many people out walking in the dark or was this after some major event?
He said this was about 6pm, so I'm assuming people are getting off of work
when was this recorded?
He is a former resident of DPRK during 2013-2018, so I think that was recorded in those years
Damn, where are the street lights? It looks so eerie. I can imagine people often stumbling, especially the elderly.
@2:25
I don‘t know what i expected lol but the bridge reminds me of cologne, germany😂
Its so fascinating to think that NK has 38 million people in it... It seems like its so small or that the population is 4 million or something but now watching this i can see, yeah its way bigger than it seems in all the other videos and the amount of people means there has to be some diversity among them
26m
more videos please
how do you manage to shoot with camera all around , or it is allowed and not fully prohibited? just as we know about the DRPK , you can only travel with special agent there, but you walk everywhere you want and make video, please explain this point?
Because he's a businessman who works there.
@@MargaritaMagdalena thanks for making it clear. But does it mean, that dprk is alright country, and all said in tv about it is a tone of lies ?
I like that there aren't as many cars in Pyongyang as there are in NYC (where I'm from) or Mumbai, which is a lot better for the environment.
Yang di crash landing on you Pyongyang itu kah?
So like do you live in north korea or like whats the case here?
He works as an indonesian government worker. He spent time in north korea at their embassy. Since indonesia has neutral relations with the DPRK, they didn't restrict him in the way they do US and NATO visitors.
How do you get access to post videos on RUclips.? Is it legal ?
i think its hidden propaganda bro
@@tarcise dude the man, an Indonesian ambassador, recorded his daily activities while in North Korea and uploaded them to RUclips when he returned to his country.
I read that there is no car insurance in NK. What happens when you get into an accident?
Dunno about insurance but North Korea has Civil law system, which means, one who is responsible for damage has to pay compensation to victim.
There is infact car insurance in NK, including a state-owned insurance company. Though, I'm sure if you don't have insurance as the other comment said the person responsible compensates the victim.
The problem with NK is that there's not enough lighting, like everywhere
Rekaman ini taun berapa om?
These are reposts from a few years ago aren’t they?
Was this late at night?
i wonder how many people get struck by cars walking around in the dark with no street lights?
we will never know
NK has the safest drivers in the world
Looks pretty dark for a big city.
People in North Korea have access to youtube and internet in general? Or you are not in there now?
They have access to an intranet, an internet that only connects to other nortk koreans. Kinda like China's great firewall but stricter. Sometimes they can even connect to China.
He's not living there now, but Jaka Parker did work at an indonesian embassy in north korea. Since Indonesia has decent relations with North Korea, they let him record and go wherever he wanted. They only restrict US and NATO visitors because they see us as enemies potentially spying on them.
It's so dark and ominous.
the roads are ROUGH
PETTENG BROOOOO
Why? 😮
I was so very fascinated with life in North Korea back in 2018...I pondered on what it must be like...then 2020 happened and I got a taste of it...
tfw dprk has a better public transit system than your own home state , depressing lol.
As i understand, you are an Indonesian who lives in NK but how? How can you load this videos to internet? Do you have a special permission?
Probably diplomatic immunity
Diplomatic immunity plus north korea doesn't view Indonesia in a bad light like they do the US and west. He's an indonesian government worker who worked at their embassy in north korea.
Beautiful city! I hope one day I can visit Pyongyang ❤️. One of the best cities in the world I have so much love for it.
Itu mobil pribadi mu sendiri kah bang?
Kerja apakah di NK om?
Are there speed limits?
Not for the Great Leader!
rhats what potholes are for
Probably. There's traffic laws and control, so chances are there's speed limits.
wow not only does it look like a ghost town with all the city lights, that you'd expect from such a large city, missing. But also the cyclists don't seem to bother using any lights. I know electricity is sparse in NK, but dynamos also?
Lights are for wimps!
Lights are only for the dear leader
It seems to be in Rome or Naples 😂😂😂
Its look like backrooms level
What, no one is allowe to drive. There's only service vehicles
North Korean roads : buses, taxis, empty
I guess its completely normal for hundreds of people to be out and about with virtually no street lights. It is so strange.
Do they have road rage in NK?
There is no rule that gives priority to pedestrians like in Japan, so both pedestrians and drivers need to be careful. This is especially true because there are few street lights and the roads are dark. But most of the car drivers are wealthy people, so I guess they drive with a sense of "Get out of the way!"
From which year is this content? :)

Masih di pantau, salam dari Indonesia , 😊
Where the hell do you get gasoline? All these huge buildings & not a single 7-11, grocery store, anything. I see buses but everyone walking still. Plus no bikes either? Are bikes illegal there? 🤔
People can't talk shit about Kim, that's America propaganda
But Jaka can talk shit about other country
Darkness and low traffic, bad condition roads, it can't even imagine it in the capital of another korea. perhaps if seoul were like this, news stories about the government lacking administrative processing would spread to the public. 😅
Hello Sir, i want to ask you kindly if there is a possibility to make business with NK, im talking about the food sector (nuts, fruits (+dry), like exporting to company x and company x handles the transport to nk
how can you navigate? there's no street signs wtf
Wonder where these people are going? It’s not as if there is nightlife. I always imagine the biggest drawback of life in NK is not the lack of freedom but the sheer boredom
It looks so empty
Pyongyang was built to house a much bigger population than it ended up with. Fun fact: North Korea was actually the more successful, developed Korea until the 70s.
And dark -_-
@@TIENxSHINHANTo add to this fun fact: it was because South Korea was very unstable under cycles of dictatorships, coups, assassinatios, civil unrest, and other forms of political instability, while North Korea was extremely heavily subsidised by the Soviet Union because of its status as a socialist ally.
Once things stabilized in South Korea, it became a prosperous democracy, while North Korea descended into famine and increasing totalitarianism once the Soviet Union fell, though it was known for its extraordinary totalitarianism and level of personality cult even amongst the other socialist nations during the Cold War.
