I am guessing that a good part of the cemetery is unconsecrated. Let me know otherwise? There is a Catholic section, and a Jewish section here. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Moriah_Cemetery_(South_Dakota)
I would love for you to visit Bodie California in the Eastern Sierras. You will not be disappointed I will bet my horse and hat on that fact. It would be wonderful if you do to read a few books on the people that lived there. One by Ella Cain, and another my favorite person Rosa May by George Williams the third. Please You will not be disappointed.
@@lauriewarner4848 Thanks for this information. I just happen to be going to Bodie in 2 weeks and will be taking photographs (again) in HD and 8k video. I will research your authors books and see what I can dig up (figuratively). Bodie is a land of extreme temperatures for sure and well worth the visit. The turnoff to Bodie is located on US395 between Lee Vining and Bridgeport. Its about a 10 mile drive on gravel road from the turnoff. There is a year round Park Ranger living there.
A point of interest is she was only 27 when she died so to live such a life and be married 5 times was pretty crazy. Wow dying at such a young age and do all she did is pretty insane.
Not to be judgmental, however it bothers me when I hear the stories that someone that has died young and committed such crimes could not go to heaven. I’m a Christian and believe my sins are paid for, and it bothers me to think that these people are might not have asked to be forgiven of their sins from Jesus Christ and will reside in hell forever.
This was a very intriguing episode. My wife and I were in Deadwood just about a year ago. We, of course, walked through Mt. Moriah. Beautiful place. Thanks for this video!
I am blown away by the research and your travel. I've been with you since the beginning and admire such tenacity for history. Thanks to all who help. And especially thanks to Ron's wife for letting us borrow him😅❤
I usually have to listen to these stories for 2 days because I always fall asleep lol Its like a soothing bedtime lullaby 😌 You're a good storyteller ❤
What a wild life she lived. It's sad in a way that she couldn't settle down some place and just be happy. This cemetery is beautiful Ron! Boy it truly was the wild west back then. Great story Ron, but they always are.
Very enjoyable story, Ron. It sounds like Kitty was a real gold digger. Robbed men blind of their gold under their noses. Beautiful cemetery. With it being on sloped land, it's interesting how the plots were leveled off with blocks of stone. I hope someone gives you the actual whereabouts of her burial site.
Thank you Ron for always letting me tag along on your journeys since I can’t afford to travel myself. The scenery here really looks nice and listening to you tell the stories of peoples lives back in the days is always so interesting. Only you and Chris of Whittdocs have this ability to do what the two of you do so well. 🙏🙏✝️✝️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Ron and Everyone. I'm looking forward to another Great story and a good walk about. Sounds sad but I'm prepared. Thanks Ron you always do your very Best 👍
You are such a great storyteller! I love the way you spin a story! When my husband was alive, we rv’d all over the country. We stayed in the deadwood area for a couple of months, and I just loved that town and the history.
These stories are so interesting Ron. Thx to Deb & all who helped bring this alive. I can believe they’re still haunting the place. Back in time, once again. RIP Kitty Wow, is all I can say for now.
Ron, you have a way of bringing these people back to life, if only in our minds. It's a gift to be a good story teller... and my friend, you have it. Much love.
Howdy! I lived in Rapid City for 22 years and made unnumerable trips to Deadwood. Never heard of Kitty Leroy! She sounds like a perfect fit for Deadwood. Mt. Mariah is a gorgeous place. Thanks for this trip back "home." 😊
Interesting story, Ron. What a life she led. I wonder whatever became of the original tombstone they had in that 1st cemetery? Maybe it was stolen? He must have loved her to be able to take his own life as well as hers. And maybe, just maybe, she loved him as well, and she knew things would not end well for them both, hence the will she had drawn up.
I love these stories. We always had to visit one historic cemetery on our family trips growing up. We really are not that different from ancestors . I love that it demonstrates humans have always been that human
Been to Deadwood years ago. It has so much rich history in the small town and of course the hauntings too. Thankyou Ron for telling this story of Kitty Lerot.
The West was truly wild in those days. When they said, an eye for an eye it real did occur and then some. Thank you, Ron for brig this story to us. Safe travels.
Hello Ron I'm watching you from Tucson Arizona and it's such a sad story about miss kitty. To bad that guy couldn't just live his life and leave her alone. He didn't need to kill her, but oh well he wanted revenge and I'm sure he's not resting and kitty...who knows. Thank you for sharing this story with us all. I do so appreciate all the work you do so we can hear history about people we would otherwise never knew about. Stay safe out there and God bless you
Ron, you need to go to the grave of Belle Starr here in Oklahoma also a interesting story. Also the Seminole Indian actor Will Sampson who played Ten Bears in “The Outlaw Jody Wales” and “ One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. His grave has what’s called a Spirit House built on top of it very interesting.
This was a fascinating story! The cemetery is beautiful with the way it is laid out. Thank you, Ron. As always, you do an excellent job with your storytelling.
Ron, I knew about Kitty and Curly, but only a teenie bit. Thank you so much for this wonderful story. I've always wondered what the real story was and thanks to you now I know. Great Video. I love Deadwood
Deadwood is definitely on my list to go see! What a beautiful cemetery, so unique. I was thinking as you described the history of Deadwood and the reasons people went there, that the danger must have seemed glamorous in some strange way. You painted the picture for sure of a place where it was survival of the fittest and, the best card sharp, the fastest gun. Kitty seemed like a wild free spirit who took her chances, used people, played a rough game which she ultimately lost. Too bad Sam didnt just cut his losses and move on. Maybe they deserved each other. Fascinating story and well told Ron!
I absolutely love these kind of stories about things that happened in the long days of past history. Always so interesting to learn about. That is really a beautiful cemetery, it would be a interesting walk looking at all the old gravestones there. Keep yourself safe out there Ron.🙂💟
A story I had never heard about. That cemetery is really beautiful. Steep hills and I can only imagine it is difficult to get the caskets and vaults between all the graves and down all the inclines without losing control of it all on the steep hills.
Very unique, tree-laden, beautiful cemetery. I’m winded just looking at all the ups and downs! Glad you take us along! Please take care with your health, we need you around for a long while!❤
Wow what an interesting story for such a young woman..She had an agenda ...thank you Ron for telling this Active Story..hope u are having a lovely break 😊
This was a great story from the past Thank you Ron you do good on these history tales it's amazing how life was like back then now I got to wait until next Sunday for another good story Take care❤❤❤❤
I missed your live video. DARN IT! But catching you now. Awesome video. I have a Series Collection DVD set of Deadwood. It's so Awesome to sit back and watch at times. So I know your video is going to be excellent ❤.
What an interesting bit of history from the days of the Old West! I love these tales of those rough days ! A great bit of history but also so tragic! I must say that that place is remarkably beautiful, and those pines must be at least 200 years old- the great big ones! I was trying to see off in the distance and it just looks magical! A great visit! Take care , Ron ,you seem out of breath ?
Ron thank you for the time and details you take of these videos. Your so much appreciated. I hope to meet you one day. Much love from Chicago xxxx (Originally Texas)
I watched this one again. The music is so good. Pretty scenery. Since they had a stone marker for her in the old cemetery, they should have relocated it with her. That's a shame they didn't. Another celebrity in Deadwood to bring tourism. They survive a lot off of tourism. It is such a cool place. Lots of history and infamy.

One of my kids, his wife along his two grown girls visit Deadwood on a yearly basis. They love it! Great story as usual Ron.
