    I demo Emvoice, which is a vocal synthesis plugin that sings your lyrics and melodies, kinda like Vocaloid. I also try out the latest features introduced in the 2022 update.

    True to my word, I ended up using the Emvoice track as a guide for a human vocalist, who absolutely knocked it out of the park. You can listen to that here: ruclips.net/video/ONK-f2JsuRw/видео.html

    I tried Emvoice after watching this, so much fun! Yeah, its a bit synthetic, no kidding but its still a good tool IMO for songwriting and even the final product, IF the sound fits what you're trying to acheive!

    Great video Gabe! Funny enough emvoice is kind of a meme in the vocal synth community. I'm sure you're more familiar with Vocaloid and maybe even UTAU. If you want to try a premium vocal synth that does English, Japanese, Chinese, and even Spanish PLEASE PLEASE do a video on Synth V by Dreamtonics. Emvoice is a joke in comparison.

    I noticed a strange thing with emvoice. I bought the Lucy voice and demod the Andre voice. If you take the Lucy voice and detune it down an octave, it sounds like Andre. Likewise, if you take Andre's voice up an octave, it sounds like Lucy. Have I lost the plot???

    “Some processing”. You’re processing wrong. I think you’re in Reaper? Ableton has an awesome tool, OTT. Automating Keela’s mids and highs can almost replicate breaths and fry. Keela has a ton of dynamics with many of the traditional vocal processing techniques; mics, reverb, eq, and filter.

  • @GizzyDillespee
    @GizzyDillespee 2 года назад +4

    That's just what I thought about Autotune, too:
    "This new Autotune software is incredible, but in heavy usage, it leaves these artifacts, and I don't think it would be accepted prominently or on a lead vocal. But it's perfect for a demo, or to show a singer exactly what you want!"
    Annoying helium baby chipmunk voices are all the rage right now. Casio even came out with a text to vocals hardware keyboard this year! If you can make a video that looks like a baby animal is singing, then use this to create the vocals, it could be like, "So, you think you want to smoke? Okay, then you'll sit here and smoke the whole carton!" The problem occurs if, like Autotune, they actually LIKE doing that. Then, you'll have a hit song, but you'll be typecast as the next t-pain, when we haven't even recovered from the first one yet. That's just too much responsibility. I just saw a Veritasium about this guy who gave everyone lead poisoning, and then broke the ozone layer, before he accidentally killed himself directly with one of his own inventions. I'm not ready for that level of heelitude just now, but I'll definitely be abusing this or similar software in the coming months.
