This is the interpretation that had me lost and wandering for years in a gorgeous sonic haze of sensual pleasure that I simply could NOT escape nor get enough of. Even to this day I experience intense body auras and my eyes well up because I am transported back to my early childhood when the power of music was my celestial refuge and hope. “Music expresses wordless odyssey’s”. I know that the heavenly peace of mind and spiritual confidence that thrusts my life forward into and through the grace of Jesus was foreshadowed by the love of pure music He instilled in my spirit from before I could remember. I write, I speak, I utter and testify daily of that “peace that passes all understanding and LOVE that passes all knowledge. My birthday is March 1st.; the same as Frederic Francois Chopin. This connection gives me a unique insight into his musical psyche and is partially responsible for my setting one of his etudes to lyrics that were literally well beyond my natural powers of expression. I hope that by the grace of God I will be allowed to share this “jewel encrusted nugget” with the world; particularly with the hungry and thirsty souls for “The righteousness of Jesus” PEACE!! PWG
No 1 is at a perfect tempo for me. 2 is a bit quick but well-controlled. 3 is so quick but I have not heard his interpretation for over twenty years and I used to think his performance was perfect, but not now due to the fast tempo. There must be other performances by Ashkenazy, but where.
+Noah Johnson he is just giving his own opinion just like everyone else in the comment section. Just because you have a different opinion doesn't mean you are right and that anyone who thinks differently is wrong. They are opinions precisely because of that. Everyone has their own. I personally think it is too fast as well. (For my taste)
Most of the time, people who say that an interpretation is too fast or too slow cannot play the piece at any speed

Lovely.
Tres belle interprétation, la meilleure avec celle d’Hélène Grimaud jusqu'ici.
