We'd need Portal 3 to set this up, I imagined a fanmade game to link them up where Chell is about to die from dehydration or starvation in the barren land as portal 2 happened thousands of years after half life 2. i like to think that shephard is fighting in the other cities while gordon is part of the resistance in city 17 and whiteforest because swelter has shown that there were other resistance groups

I have a insane theory as alyx is kidnapped we can see vortigaunts rescue Adrian from g man as he is the one who can help Gordon in Antarctica and we get an awesome scene of Barney, Gordon and Adrian fighting side by side and as time travel has become one of the major things in half life universe we can see the end of half life again in a f*cking cliffhanger as borealis has time travel and portal technology (reason why Eli was keen on destroying borealis) and we can see whole of combine from from different planets and universe they have captured starting a new full scale invasion on earth similar to sever hour war and we see one the time travel machines we see chell coming out and now how she came let me explain in portal 3 future chell discovers how human vs combine war on earth has destroyed and devasted whole of earth and many planets and universes and very few survivors are alive with the help of them she uses time travel technology of borealis to travel in past to change earth and universe's fate she meets with resistance forces and in half life 5 and 6 a two part finale will have a team up of chell, Gordon, Barney, Adrian, Gina and he partner (i forgot her name) in a Avengers endgame style with portals and these two games will answer everything who is g man, who are his employers who the hell is controlling combine and then some new aliens and some old alien species comeback( like those aliens from opposing force), rescuing alyx Gordon reuniting with her and Gordon having a closure at last after everything he had gone through, Barney sacrificing himself for a greater cause as he just wanted to escape from Black mesa which will give him a redemption and earth giving freedom to every single planet and universe combine had enslaved and this way we will have a grand conclusion to half life universe and which will leave impact on whole of pop culture for many decades to come
