I believe the British have a solution to this problem, they have developed a similar sounding but very different word, "knickers", which means underpants, so there should be no misunderstandings as it clearly has a completely different meaning, so everyone should therefore have no problem with it.

It was not cut out, it is merely no longer sung it occurs in the first verse, but only the third is sung.
Also, your translation is not really correct, there is missing the context.

If you're alone, of course you will sing what you like. Otherwise it depends who you're with.
With friends it's usually a safe zone, if you're close and they're not too politically correct (arts PhD's, communist sympathizers, people with blue hair, etc, may object). I wouldn't do it at karaokes.

Personally I don't think the word should be used period unless you're trying to be offensive- which a lot of rappers are. If that's what you're going for, say it in the song.
