In Bordeaux you can visit many sightseeing spots. but most places are quite far from each other so the best way to reach them is by tram. Here is how you can buy tickets and how to use/ activate them.

You can also recharge the tickets and they have a 10ct deposit so don't throw them away after using.

Just for advice, don't forget to validate your tickets in tramways, buses and boats because fines are very expensive, especially when you forget to buy a ticket (I live in Bordeaux so I know how fines are expensive). Plus, be careful with trams because the trams may not be working correctly this summer because TBM may make some repairs on trams in the city centre (like every summer vacation) (have a look at infotbm.com for more information before your trip, it can be useful😉)

Yes there are ticket machines at the bus stop outside the airport for bus 1 and 39 🚌
