Remember the joy of going to the old man's favorite seaside spot Prestatyn in one of these in the mid sixties, the joy of sitting on the leather seats after they'd been in the sun all day and getting a smack for moaning, great restoration again looks wonderful.

Amazing work on the restoration of the Corgi Toys Riley Pathfinder! The color change you achieved is remarkable and really brings out the beauty of the car. It's evident that you put a lot of effort and skill into every step of the process. The photos at the end, showcasing the car outside the garage, add a nice touch and allow us to fully appreciate the final result. Thank you for sharing your contact details in the about section; I'll definitely be reaching out if I need any advice or guidance for my own diecast restoration projects. Hi Martin this Riley looks a bit like the Woolseley and MG Magnet. My eldest brother had a Woolseley ex police car. They had a pull down blind on the back window that you could operate from the drivers seat. So my brother being my brother wrote BOLOCKS on it and if anyone blew there horn at him he would pull the blind down. Then one day someone blew there horn so he pulled the blind down and then he heard the police bell behind him. It was a police car and the police were not very impressed with the sign.👮🏻♂👮🏻♀😂😂🤣🤣 Yet again the car has turned out beautiful like new and it looks fantastic on the diorama. Great to hear your eyes are a lot better now great because we get to enjoy our favourite diecast restorer for many more years to come.👍🏻 Catch you on the next one mate.👍🏻
Thanks Geoff, that's a great idea with the blind love it , I can imagine the look on the coppers face when the blind came down .
All the best Martin 👍

Well done martin fantastic choice of colour and the diarama shots are just perfect,.. it's a joy to watch you bring these little ones back to life thank you ..... did I hear correctly that you have your eyes fixed well congratulations that must be a great relief for you, and more videos for us 👍 ... would it be possible to see some of the work your doing on the trains ? ... thanks again ......
Thanks Gregory, yes my eyes are all good thanks very much
I will see what I can do regarding the railway stuff ,I do intend to have a 0 gauge train in the back ground on the diorama .
All the best Martin 👍
Great result Martin. The burgundy colour looks period correct to me. More learnt from this restoration. The gear puller is one I never thought of and will explore that one further. The diorama set off the car nicely. Well done.
Thanks Andy glad you liked it my friend 👍
Great job Martin, have a good one✌️😎
Thanks Don you to mate
Hi Martin this brought back some memories. We had a two tone one when we were kids a 2.6 i believe it was called. I think my dad bought it because he could get all five of us on the back seat. He only sold it when we got to big and replaced it with a minx estate so one of us could sit in the back behind the seat. All the best from Ian b & family.
That's great Ian thay were a nice car sitting in the back of an estate car was always a fun time imagine the trouble you would get in to now if you put your kids in the back 😀.
All the best Martin 👍
School Day on the hub pullers, Martin: thanks for that! Nice colour - far more likely to be a real car than the flashy 'toy' red that was on the original model. Gemini do a neat little offering of red, white and orange 'lamps' at various millimetric sizes; I use them where there are no lights moulded where there should be some. Stunning final result - again - and a pleasure to see these simple castings survive.
PS. You should be able to get the this cotton gloves - if the paint is still a bit soft, sometimes those knitted cotton gloves will make a pattern in the varnish. If not, I'll send some or bring them over in July. And how much quicker your riveting is now the peepers are sorted!
Cheers fraser, the different coloured gems are a good call ,I will nip down to Hatton garden and get some only the best for my restorations 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the gloves
Enjoy your day my friend
gorgeous job martin colour is more like what the real car would be finished in
Cheers Paul much appreciated brother 👍
There we go! Nice resto Martin
Thanks very much my friend its really appreciated
Hi Martin the Riley was a challenge but turned out good colour was the right choice
Thanks very much it's much appreciated my friend
That is awesome Martin.
Thanks very much Michael
Hi Martin, that's a lovely resto. These were really nice cars weren't they? So stylish. I recently did one of these, and made a really silly mistake; I'd finished off all the painting and lacquering, re-assembled it and then realised i had stupidly forgot to put in the front set of wheels! I had to carefully take it apart again, which was annoying as I'd achieved a really nice finish on it. I didn't want mess it up. I persevered and it turned out really nice. Great that you can see better mate. You certainly need good eyes for this hobby. All the best 👍
Hey Alan I have done the same thing a few times so your OK 👍 glad you got it sorted
Looks fantastic,
Cheers Stephen 🍻

I reckon that tyre must've been in there from the factory, I cant imagine how it got in there otherwise, another nice job.
Hi Peter, this is quite possible, iam waiting one day I might find a note of some sort inside a bit like a message in a bottle 😉🤞😀
these early tin plate bases used a blueing chemical treatmet used in
treating twelve bore shot guns still buy the stuff.
Yes so I have heard I might give it a go ,thanks for the information all the best Martin
