I had my left hip resurfaced 14 years ago. It was great while it lasted but now It has failed and am having a 'Revision' done ( a clean out the implants and to replace with a THR. I am 79 years old. However, given the choice again, I would have the same again. BUT, they do not offer the Resurfaced hip for the over 70's.

Dr. Su resurfaced my left hip with impeccable precision and amazing empathy. Prior to discovering that i had an option instead of Total Hip Replacement, i was resigned to go ahead with a surgeon who advocated doing the "more conventional route". Once i did further research, i discovered that i could keep more of my bone structure without compromising anything related to recovery, lifestyle, sports, etc. I am truly grateful for all the time and detailed attention Dr. Su personally provided. People say that this procedure was "Life Changing", I would say that because of it my "Life is enabled" given so many more options for me to live "JOYFULLY" & pain free!

I had BHR on my left side in 2013 and on my right side last year. Truly life changing. I am very grateful to Derek McMinn, Smith and Nephew, and my two Florida based surgeons. I have been very fortunate to have trained under some of the very best martial arts grandmasters in the world and thanks to BHR, I can once again train.

I went in 2015 to Koen de smet ( i 'm from Holland i was a high level Taekwondo practitioner) i have serious hip damage, in Holland they don 't do hip resurfacing anymore. So i start to colect and saving money for the surgery. It was extremely hard to me to find a better job, working overtime,to fight ever dag against pain, dismobility and depression, and to fight against the People in Holland do not believe in resurfacing, fighting against meself.
