the captain should do a video where he talks about his practicing routine and how he, well, how he managed to get so good over those past months. a lot of us noobs and amateurs could benefit from that. i'm wondering does he know the fretboard well, does he merely know some scales and licks... he hit some great notes in this jam, other times you could tell he's obviously not on a pro level... i'd just like to know what he's doing when he has a guitar on his lap and decides to practice :)
Man, I keep noticing how the Captain's playing has gone from good to great over the last year. He's playing some tasty stuff. And Pete is always awesome. Thanks for making great content, Andertons crew!
Seriously true. I so totally look forward to his playing, more than most other players who might be 10x as 'technically proficient.' I envy Lee's playing and the progress since i've started watching Andertons videos is just inspiring.
I'm gonna need you to calm down. Pete was putting out that fire. Lee was bringing the heat, but it wasn't quite the fire. But seriously, Lee's really gotten better. Playing more than pentatonics and it's sounding better. Pete is really good. He's definitely my favorite of the players here.
Bald & Bearded Anyone who puts time in to master their instrument should be commended for their efforts. But there's a problem here. No matter how well improved these PRS guitars are, these players would sound the same on $500-$600 guitars . Now of course I sound arrogant. But I hear such generic playing with players popping out custom shop Fenders or Gibson's, save your money and work on playing distinctive guitar parts/solos. Again, I respect all efforts, but record yourself, there is art and their is commerce. Of course you need a guitar that is not fighting you, and PRS is very, very good with ergonomics and playability, and overall sound versatility.
The red PRS the Captain is playing is unreal! Also, his playing is extremely honest and emotional. I’ve always enjoyed the understated emotive players over obnoxious gymnastics. Well done Cap! 🇺🇸🗽🦅🇺🇸
Lee, I think your genius is assembling a vast range of talent to do these videos. You have ambassadors for jazz, metal, soul, rock, acoustic (new), and just crazy fun. Love them all.
Leo fender made the Electric Guitar the most popular instruments on earth with innovation and cutting down the costs, prs made the most popular instrument on earth a pricey piece of furniture . Prs is really the leo fender of this era of the in the way he embodies the decadence of Electric Guitar and how this instrument is fading away from the limelight.

Read the history of PRS. He admits his used ideas from both guitars to make his. He is still (this video is proof) trying to make one of his models sound like a Gibson Les Paul. Same as with John Mayer's guitar. He is trying to copy the Strat sound. Fender and Gibson were the real innovators.
@Albert Triumph Paul Reed Smith never claimed to have invented anything. He is simply bridging the Gap between Gibson and Fender and trying to give us the best of both worlds in one guitar.
That opening jam was one of the best and the most creative one that you have ever done, in fact I licked that much that I am figuring how to play some of the licks and the intro riffs
cool shirt, Lee. On a more serious note, you are displaying a very intimate touch these days, and its so emotional, thank you for this, will listen to you and Pete many times more.
I just want to hear Pete play all day. Man, I need some private lessons. Lol I will own a prs private stock one day, ever since I first saw one, I've wanted it. Love it 😍
Pete, I saw you playing some JB like pentatonic runs for the first time in the first half. Thank you for putting in parts that I can actually play cause the rest of your stuff is insane !!!
Please put together a collection of these wonderful intros for us to buy. They are extremely inspiring to all guitarist of all ages. By the way Lee, Pete and Paul Reed Smith convinced me to buy two PRS masterpieces.
Just wanted to say I've never been a huge youtuber but I've watched your videos for a few years now on and off. Recently I have been into youtube and have found your content and channel to be very informative content. Just wanted to tell you that I have learned a lot and when I get across the pond soon I will come by and purchase through your establishment. Keep up the good work. From a future buyer and hopeful successful guitarist from the the states.
This is one of my favorite RUclips channels. Entertaining as it is informative. One of the take-aways (for me, anyway) is that people's ears are a whole LOT more acute when they're looking at the guitars they're playing then when they're blinded with goggles. Goggles, à la those that Chapper and the Captain put on, have an interesting way of leveling the field and confounding the ears. Put differently, we buy as much -- or, likely, more -- with our eyes and emotions (including brand and nation of origin loyalties) than we do with our ears and fingers. It's all good fun (especially when you don't have a wife to complain "Why do you need another guitar?").
Keeping coming back to this jam. Beautiful playing. Can’t believe how good that basic red McCarty sounds and that’s coming from a die hard 594 private stock player.
I know what you mean. I have been dead set on a 594 for my next guitar, but the regular McCarty in this video sounds incredible. That neck pup is incredible.
@@CarlyonProduction Right on, man - upside is that they are both great options whatever you decide. That said, the different scale lengths are worth considering as a tiebreaker it you're torn. The 594 is a bit slinkier.
Not sure how new these graphics are, but keep up the good work in the editing bay. Clean and descriptive all while hearing things play. Not just a screen with specs that you typically have to pause to make sure you didn't miss anything.
Jesus , The Capt has improved out of sight! I haven't watched an Andertons video in... perhaps two months...if that - and my God, Lee has gone from sounding a beginner to sounding a Pro! Thats no small leap...heck, I've been stuck in the intermediate zone for fifteen years! (Albeit, I didn't play at all for many of them... but that's just excuses - Lee just schooled me in under 2months! ) Well done, Led - and congratulations!
@@CarlyonProduction no I don’t I’m afraid. I don’t think you can wrong with the 594 though especially if you prefer a Gibson style scale length. The old McCartys have the standard PRS 25” scale length.
Wow! Just, Wow! These Guitars are Amazing! That is what a Great Guitar should sound like!!! I doubt that I will ever own one, but it was awesome to watch you guy's enjoy them.
Yes Captain, no longer any need to compare, every wonderful instrument can stand on its own merits. Great guitar sounds, great playing here guys thanks!
Great playing Lee, you have long got over your old hang ups, must be all the playing with Justin and Pete, God how I wish I could buy another prs. Maybe one day someone will send me things to play with like those RUclips reviewers. I cannot spend three let alone four or five figures anymore.
The conclusion I drew from the Pierce/Leese PRS video was that you can get six figure tones from these new guitars at a four figure price point. Well, some people can anyhow. Three figures is more than good enough for my skill level. 😃
the captain should do a video where he talks about his practicing routine and how he, well, how he managed to get so good over those past months. a lot of us noobs and amateurs could benefit from that. i'm wondering does he know the fretboard well, does he merely know some scales and licks... he hit some great notes in this jam, other times you could tell he's obviously not on a pro level... i'd just like to know what he's doing when he has a guitar on his lap and decides to practice :)
Yes!!! Everyone should like and comment on this so they will notice and make it happen!!
Commenting now to hopefully see a reply for this
Check out the Rut busters series the captain did with justin, some of the most informative guitar lessons for people of all skill levels.

@Marco C Even on a video which Rob has nothing to do with, people still find a way to bash on him.

he still taking lessons from Justin? Or was that just for a couple vids?
It has gone from bad to ok. There's no need to exaggerate, that's a good enough progression.
Lee, that’s some of your best, most tasteful playing in the opening jam, amazing, amazing, amazing!!!
When the Captain outplays Pete almost the entire intro... 😱dannnng Lee !!! That was some inspired playing there 🙌👌 Nice
Yeah, Lee's really stepped up his skills in recent months. Very soulful playing, he's not a one-riff-pony anymore for sure.
The Smelly Cat's Jazz First half of that improv went to Lee..
Pete actually had to step up and open the shred machine on the second half 😉
I think Pete was giving the Capt’n some well deserved room to breathe is all. Love em both

Captain's playing here is something that touches you.
someone show this comment to Pete *wink wink* 😂
reminds me of my uncle
I call it Saville style
Absolutely the best sounding intro jam ever, and that tone... my god!
Lee has seriously stepped up his playing game, well done.
First seven minutes are pure gold. I've been coming back to this video just to watch the intro jam.
its amazing how much lee's guitar playing has improved over the last year or two it really good
Lee, that was soulful, emotional and ethereal playing. I would happily pay for that track to kick back to and relax of an evening!
The red PRS the Captain is playing is unreal! Also, his playing is extremely honest and emotional. I’ve always enjoyed the understated emotive players over obnoxious gymnastics. Well done Cap! 🇺🇸🗽🦅🇺🇸
Really inspiring to see how much Lee has improved in the past year. Absolutely stunning intro jam.

We all know Pete is a world class player. But Lee is showing himself to have a great talent for slow, sad jams.
Nevermind the guitars. How much for Pete's fingers?
And functional brain!
@@rorystorm4284 Yeah! Nevermind that, too! :p
You would want all of them except for Pete's left 5th, because that one is defective, lol.
That double cut lee playing is one hell of amazing sounding guitar. And damn lee phrasing sounds amazing.
the 3 minute mark is some of the finest playing I've ever heard, for real.
The captains playing is something else here. Probably one of the best opening jams you guys have done. Of course Pete is on form too.
That beginning piece is the best I have ever heard Lee play. NICE playing dude!
Beautiful, beautiful sounds and guitars. I could listen to these tones all day, every day. Great job guys and PRS!
Beautiful playing by both of you! But especially Lee, always getting better with every jam I believe!
It looks to me like Paul Reed Smith is the Leo Fender of our time and I love it

I'd play my pentatonics so hard on that red PRS
That opening jam was one of the best and the most creative one that you have ever done, in fact I licked that much that I am figuring how to play some of the licks and the intro riffs
Always a pleasure to hear Lee and Pete jam! You guys need to release an album!
Absolutely amazing playing from you guys. tbh some of caps phrases were even better than Pete's... Wow
First chord sounded like the beginning of “In My Darkest Hour” by Megadeth!
Great playing, guys!
The opening jam was really enjoyable. Lovely loop as usual from Pete and Lee has definitely upped his game. The guitars sound and look amazing.
Fine playing, Lee... those lessons with Justin must be paying off!
Blooming hell. That intro was absolutely amazing.
Just love the way Danish Pete can wing it at any give moment
That intro is proof that Less is More! Magic gentlemen.
cool shirt, Lee. On a more serious note, you are displaying a very intimate touch these days, and its so emotional, thank you for this, will listen to you and Pete many times more.
One of the best intro jams. Sick stuff from both Lee and Pete. Got me right in the feels
I just want to hear Pete play all day. Man, I need some private lessons. Lol I will own a prs private stock one day, ever since I first saw one, I've wanted it. Love it 😍
damn, that opening jam tho. i can listen to lee's playing all day. haven't heard anyone play with that kind of soulfulness in a while. well done cap
Another thing that makes the intro great; Pete watching like a proud mentor at the Captain. Wish I had a teacher like Pete. 😅
The Paul Reed Smith demos are always your best sounding videos.
Oh my god the opening jam :0 VERY nice. Don't think I've ever heard Lee play such emotional lines before
Paul has absolutely nailed the best vintage PAFs with this new pickups imo.
Can't get enough of you guys demonstrating guitars. Keep doing more. Yes
The most beautiful playing I think we’ve seen in an opening. Wow. Well done, boys.
Seriously some of the best playing I've seen from the Captain. The work he's put in is really starting to shine.
Loving the edit with the specs within the opening jam. Sterling work Andertons!
Captain Lee, your playing on the intro was beautiful, the structure of the notes had real feeling! Thank you
Pete, I saw you playing some JB like pentatonic runs for the first time in the first half. Thank you for putting in parts that I can actually play cause the rest of your stuff is insane !!!

Release that opening jam please 😍😍😍 best one for a while 👍
Employing Mr Honore was the best decision the captain made , both for Andertons TV and the captains guitar playing. Well done captain!

I haven't heard so good-sounding guitars on this channel for a long time. They are special.
I wish I liked how nice the PRS's looked more than I actually do.
That tone is absolutely beautiful
love your playing too Pete
I could listen to Pete and the Captain jam for hours.
They really must have done something special with those new pickups... One of the best-sounding guitar demos I've ever heard.

I know that every time Lee and Pete are jamming in a video it's gonna be good but this episode, this jam it's f'ing beautiful!
i was getting ready for "Love on the Weekend" by John Mayer to be played at 11:49 :). left me hanging lol
Read my mind, dude...
YES
i’d watch hours of that intro jam. new channel idea? extended jams based on an instrument or 2 purely because it just felt good on the day.
You know, a lot of folks are probably going to hate me for saying this, but I would pay to listen to music like this. Thank you fellas
Yep, I totally hate you for that one.
Great intro. As far as the guitars go, not a PRS guy, but that private stock is to die for. The logo on the headstock is killer.
I love the black single cut.
Was lying in bed at 12am and that beginning jam made me get up, plug my headphones in and play. Thanks for the inspiration :)
You two play some absolutely beautiful music together - amazing! Wow! Complimenti!
This is the first PRS I've ever liked the sound of.
So there's that.
SoulIsTheGoal same
SoulIsTheGoal always a Gibson guy at heart but my 2017 McCarty 594 is the only guitar I truly need.
Captain your playing has improved out of sight 🤘🏼

Absolute killer playing, Captain! Pete is always a treat to watch! ❤️
What an amazing intro! I would buy this record!
What the Captain played in the opening jam was AWESOME
Great to see the original style McCarty model back. It’s always been my favourite PRS model.

Captain on fire today!!! That vibrato is on point. Never noticed the Cap for that before.
Congratulations captain! You have just become a guitar badass!
