What a superb Q & A; the honesty & transparency exemplary and enjoyed every minute; who wouldn’t want to aspire to do business with this highly professional business; thanks so much for sharing your views with such openness and honesty
Very interesting, and entertaining. An hour passed very quickly. There used to be a column in the old, short lived magazine Supercar Classics that was called 'Supercars That I've Known' or something similar. I used to get the mag as a young man, and that was my favourite part. This video reminded me of that - thank you.
Love your knowledge. really insightful and helpful for when I will buy a Supercar. Just ordered a 812 GTS, Believe it will be awesome and a great buy ,like your thoughts
V interesting. I bought a great little boxster s car from you a long, long time ago. Looking froward to seeing more and if the music was quieter or non existent ,would be better 😊
Do you think that 250 GTOs, 250 GT Californias and cars like that will keep going up in value? And, you sold a 250 tdf with a chassis number 1113 GT. I’ve noticed a different looking car with a similar name. A chassis number example is 0557GT which sold at RM auctions in 2015. What is the difference between these two cars? Didn’t get to ask that before. Thank you for another Tom Talks!
I had this playing in the background, “250 GTO gear shift” etc etc etc “McClaren” etc etc etc. General car stuff then... “Jeremy Corbin is a communist” Well done Tom 😂😂😂
What is your favourite 90s hot hatch? I know they aren’t your thing but you sold a very interesting Renault 5 Turbo not too long ago. Do you see an Integrale becoming a serious collectors’ car anytime soon?
Be really interested to understand how you developed the attitude to deal making you have. Passionate about your job and making money is clear but to take the emotion out of each deal as you seem is a skill in itself. I love a deal yet would struggle to not be more reflective
So does Tom junior not get along with Tom senior and brother Carl? I assume he went off on his own or is this like a satellite location of the Tom Hartley Auto Dealership group?
Interesting Q&A. Here in the states recently I have not seen Bugatti‘s sell well due to the maintenance costs. Failed sales on not making the reserves on Bringatrailer and on Ebay was a sample indication. I think Bugatti needs to understand their brand in the second hand market. I personally would never own one. I agree nobody wants to spend a very high yearly maintenance cost even when the car is driven few miles each year and with a Bugatti it is important to keep very accurate maintenance records. For me I own a manual Ferrari 430. It’s a car I enjoy and a fun car to drive. I am not an F1 transmission fan and prefer a manual for a more enjoyable driving experience. I can sell my 430 for more than what I paid for. For me it is important that my vintage sports cars and motorcycles sell for more than I bought them for. I don’t buy them for a investments but I want them to hold their values. I see the Ferrari F355 coupes as being a good buy even though you need an engine out every 3-5 years for a timing belt change. I see them becoming the next Dino’s in the coming years. Nothing beats the sound of the Ferrari F355. Reminds me of the old F1 car sounds from the 70’s and 80’s.
Music is bad - but interviewee comes across as a very nice guy. For personality tho - go North and have a chat about Ferrari EF Fuh’tiz with Pogson. Someone’s had a pop at Carl below - you ever met him? Also a very nice guy - made me sandwiches once.
Hi tom i just have one question, why is there no classic alfas in the showroom im sure a 65 giulia gt would sit nicely next to any car in there. Alfas are the heart and sole of the car industry at the end of the day and the poor mans ferrari.
The 15 000 dollar tyres on a Veyron is a myth. And so are the 20 000 dollar oil changes. But also. Bugatti have taken drastic steps towards making the ownership much more reasonable. For the Veyron there were no tyres that were government approved for that kind of power and speed. So they had to make them especially. And they had to create the whole wheel and everything specially for the Veyron. Today there are several manufacturers that make tyres certified for 400++ kilometers an hour. So that's no longer a factor. Just use Chiron wheels. Problem solved.
I'm pleasantly surprised you injected politics. In the States, it's so polarized here that it's too risky for someone in your position to normally talk like that. I'm no expert in the UK, but Boris just seems like an imbecile to me. But i knew nothing about the Labour's candidate. I generally just want the best combination of intelligence and ethics.
Nice to watch a Hartley family member that is literate and one that hasn't been in the papers recently.
Brilliant. Thank you for sharing👏👏👏🇦🇺
less background repeat music next time please!
Really brilliant, thanks for this. Your enthusiasm and passion is very obvious!

Thank you very much for this insight. Much appreciated. I love the books in the background, miss some scalemodels, though.
Very down to earth likeable guy. Great video.
What an open, honest and insightful watch that was. I also picked P1, CGT, Enzo, Indian and Brunette 😂
haha, brilliant!
Excellent! While I'm in Chicago, it would be great to work with your firm at some point in the near future!
Greta video really interesting insight into your work and life!
I'd love to get a job sweeping that shop and cleaning the glass, steal an f40 one bolt at a time like that Johnny cash song.

Good stuff 👍👍
I might be in the minority, but I like the background music. Relaxing and not too distracting.

Best gear change is a Suzuki swift sport 2016 model and I’ve driven loads of performance cars!!.

So does Tom junior not get along with Tom senior and brother Carl? I assume he went off on his own or is this like a satellite location of the Tom Hartley Auto Dealership group?
Great to listen too, however I did find the music a tad loud and repetitive, keep well THJ

What on earth is the music for?
Curious Q .. Have you ever had a ultra rare Bristol Fighter offered to you for sale ?
Genuine question, do you read The Daily Mail?
Your lapel mic isn't working here, but love all the videos
Thank you for your feedback!
Interesting but I would have watched more if the same number of questions were answered and edited down in length (hard I know). We all love cars !
F50 reminds me of a boat

Why did your farther chose your younger brother over you when you was the rightful heir ????
He left to start his own Business, Tom being the older brother I’m sure could’ve been in Carl’s position today but he chose to go at it alone.
Sad times
Rick O'Shay carl ain't a stupid bastard he ain't declaring everything lol
