- Have you been deciding on a set of fog lights for your BRZ, FRS, STI or WRX?
Wanted to do a chill install day with the fog lights for the BRZ and decided it would not be a bad idea to compare the Morimoto LED Fog Lights to the OLM Midnight Edition Set. Now this is all personal option on the two sets. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with either set as they both do the same thing...

I kinda dig yellow fogs. 1.) They look JDM (mad IG points brooooo) 2.) Yellow cuts through fog and wet conditions better (I. E. More function).
Planning on doing yellow fogs on my STi at some point, but that's way down the line.
They do work much better in fog, I just can't stand the color temp of these ones, plus the one that melted or exploded was not good 😅
I tried the morimoto XB fogs and I have to say the Amazon leds do better in the stock reflector housing. The XB just had a ton of light glare with a very thin line on the road.
Interesting, what brand LEDs did you use? 🔥
@@Smeedia GTR ultra expensive but super bright and way more coverage a ton more and wider
I run the Diode Dynamics ss3 yellow on my WRX love them and i replaced all of my halogen headlight bulbs with OLM Alpha HD and the C light and License Plate lights with OLM biblbs no issues so far. Great video as always !

You should look into the new diode dynamic ss3 fog lights. I just installed them on my brz the other day. They’re really good best fog light out there imo. I’ve tried different one too.

I'm running Philips Ultinon Essentials LED fog light bulbs in a new set of factory foglight housings (housings are metal/aluminum body) in my 2005 Saabaru WRX. I installed new connectors on the factory prerun fog light circuits, I wanted to reduce the amount of resistance as much as possible. The Philips Ultinon Essentials are clean as hell and work well with the halogen housings. We installed a set of the Philips Ultinon Essentials on our BMW X3 factory fog light housings and work well with that set too.
Morimoto XB LEDs from Prolightz, come with all the parts and a matt-black bezel/housing to replace the STI 2018/S208 grill opening. Reasonable spread, not so easy to adjust the height, but they are good enough for the job. I use them often as DRLs and in the rain.
Ohhhh, how are they wired in? Just using using off the shelf harness?
Interesting info on OLM and Subispeed products. I love Morimotos just ordered a set of fogs today but they’re so dang expensive.

I think thats one of the things i miss from our 2015 wrx. The new 2020 sti we have didnt come with fog lights.

Diode Dynamics fogs and bulbs are the best IMHO. Best of all they are made in the USA - quality!!

I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but Morimoto does the same. My fog lights for my G37 were rebranded Chinese items.
Check out SubieLED, they make high quality bulbs. I’ve been using their fog lights for about two years and they’re BRIGHT. Just another option to consider

Ya, I got something OLM from subispeed a few weeks ago and its been the only thing I installed on my car then took it off 2 days later. Wasnt happy with the quality or fitment, very hit and miss.
Agreed, I tend to stay away as much as possible and stick with more reputable brands

I had them on my old Crosstrek and I also had one explode when a rock hit it. They also faded from a deep yellow to like a pastel yellow in a year, that was my lesson on cheap car parts.

Smeedia the button doesnt work. I checked both bulbs. 1 was broke ok i can fix. But how do i get the button to work again?
It has the oem fog lights on it. Ordered new yellow vynal stuff too. But would loove to get them working before so.
I noticed it ( the fog lights) has its own little ballast?( if thats what its called) to it like the lights. Could one or both of them be out for the button to not work?
Check the fuse. Then the buttons electrical connector if both are good chexk the wiring harness on the back of the lights to make sure moisture did not corrde the wiring

Update I’m probably getting a down pipe fuel injectors fuel pump up pipe and a intake and maybe e85 but I really don’t want my engine to blow up 😅 if I do these mods do you think I’d be ok ps I’m not dumb enough to not get a tune lmao

Intercooler and radiator are both good things to do, I would hold off on the BOV!
It's the pattern that matters with fogs, low and wide, we did not see the pattern on the wall, I love my Morimotos.
The morimotos have always been my go to for fogs

Same here. Ordered multiple times and received wrong products. Was charged to return the product a shipping fee and also a restock fee. I would not buy anything from them if you can avoid it.
@@maverick021981 Thanks for the heads up. I was planning on buying a 2018 sti grill because I'm converting my 2015 wrx sti's front end to a 2018 front end.
Emmanuel Gonzalez it’s a tough situation. I had to contact them multiple times to even get a resolution. Finally I received the correct parts after multiple complaints. I know they are an easy and common place to shop but I have not had good experiences.
