Yay, a video version with my favorite people at last! Everyone looks super kawaii and genki! Mahri is so lovely! She unintentionally took over the interpreter job from Cathy Cat :D Her English skills will be really helpful during the future live streams. Can't wait to see her perform with the band! Bea-chan was awesome and funny, Suzu was mesmerizing as always, Cathy Cat was a great host trying to contain the madness. :D Loved this episode!
Ladybeard is I believe a fan of Babymetal, he said his favorite genre of music is metal coves of pop songs. They mix some of the idol/pop with metal, the mix might be different than Babybeard, but I think he figured some things out about it, probably how much fun the live performances can be. And was able to replicate that with his own groups.
Omg Mahri you’re amazing darling! I recently became a Ladybeard fan and now I’m a Babybeard fan! Arigato Bea-chan! Gonna try to say this right….. Aishiteru Baby 🙅🏻♀️ Beado 🫶deeeeeez! 💪❤
I was at the brazil show and, man, that was perfect. Ive been a big fan since beard's first group, and being able to meet them was like a dream come true (I was 2nd in line for the autographs, losing my mind lolll)
How is this the first time YT is showing me this? I love Lady Beard and Cathy Cat. Since there are two ANZACs in the group I feel you are morally obliged to perform in New Zealand, Whangarei specifically.
Thank you for finding us! You should totally subscribe to our channel, so that you don’t miss our latest episodes! You can also binge watch the other episodes, we have 74 others at the time of writing!
@@CatwithBeardfromJAPAN the binging has already been planned, I am so disappointed in the algorithm, all these years of feeding it my personal information and it turns out it never really knew me at all!
I have heard this episode on my podcatcher already and just wanted to get a quick optical impression. I watched the full episode again, totally mesmerized by Suzu and Mahri! And Ladybeard and Cathy Cat too, of course! ❤
Hope to see Babybeard perform in the US someday. Mahri is a great addition to the already great Suzu and LadyBeard! Edit: also props for all of the Blackpink love :D
14:19 - Mahri: "I liked being idle" 🤣 Okay, I know that's not what she meant, but it was funny 😁 36:31 - I personally really like people who retain their cute-ness into adulthood. I know quite a few women who are lucky to be cute - and yet, they seem to see it as a curse! 39:00 - There is one in Afflecks in Manchester called Animaid Cafe. It's not particularly high quality visually, but this is fairly standard for Afflecks, it's quite an old building that is popular with counter-culture enthusiasts (it's predominantly a shopping arcade for obscure things). That said, if anything untowards were to happen, the manager is quite happy to defend the maids, they know what they're getting into, and aggression is not tolerated. I think with the temporary ones at conventions and events, they take advantage of how public they are - if anything bad were to happen, they know it'll make the perpetrator look bad. Oh! Just had a look, and there's a maid cafe in London too, called Usagi Anime Maid Cafe. So it is something of a growing thing 😁 In the ones in England, it is indeed paying more for a better or longer experience. The reason it hasn't taken off in more places, is probably more because of the fact that it's very difficult to explain how it works to get financial support. After all, the loan companies want to know how they're going to get their money back! 40:00 - "It's not PRAKTIKAL!!" I like the harsh delivery, Cathy XD
@@Marcaum They do, but it is very, very subtle. So subtle that context is needed. Because she didn't use the pronoun 'an', then it literally sounds like she's saying she likes being lazy - the complete opposite of what an idol is (at least in Japan anyway! Idols are very hard workers!) 😅 She could have even said 'a idol', which is the wrong form, but it would still provide context. Idle isn't a noun, so it can't have a pronoun before it.
I love listening to Mahri's english voice

CathyCat's thoughtful questioning led to Ladybeard giving some insightful answers on how the Japanese view youth and cuteness.

Idle and idol have different pronouciations?
