    Thanks so much....what a great song. I have trouble picking these guitar parts out of a full mix...usually end up doing something that's "close enough" It's great to be able to learn how the parts are actually played....and they're fairly simple parts in the end...just close attention to voicings and picking patterns.
    Thanks again Bobby and god bless!!

      but i know what u r saying...
      but the person who is guiding us with lot of effort we should appreciate them instead of pointing out the things.
      bec they are trying there best to the people who dont understand how to play

    I wonder what amp Bobby is using. That Portlander sounds unreal. I need to get one. This song is the one I really feel like is the challenge for me because of those fast picked triads. It's a lot more challenging than it looks. Take your time and practice it right.
    Edit: Bobby at the time was using a Hot Rod Deluxe, on the clean channel, set to edge of breakup territory.

    Thanks so much for this lesson. So helpful! For some reason, when I play the first swells the way you show, it doesn't sound right. It sounds like it goes to a A instead of the b minor, and then to an E minor. I'm confused?

    what amp are you using??

    • @ryanspencerlauderdale687
      @ryanspencerlauderdale687 4 года назад

      Elijah L I think Bobby uses a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe cranked on the normal channel.
      I saw it in another video that he did with Michael Pope back in the day.
      Color me wrong if you wish, but that’s just the guitar and amp relationship.
      He may run stereo with another amp. Not sure which.

    • @HalcyonVentures
      @HalcyonVentures 8 лет назад +5

      +CR VP They don't need to be. When you're playing at the level he is, and producing albums, then yeah, Strymon gear is worth it. There's plenty of delay pedals which are great for around £100, or less if you buy used. TC Electronic are a great company that produce entry-level gear that's on boards worldwide. We play this song in my church and I use the TC Flashback x4 and the TC Hall-of-fame (a delay and a reverb, like those mentioned in this video) and they're great.

    • @joshromach2982
      @joshromach2982 8 лет назад

      He's right, I would suggest a used boss dd7 and rv5 and a little green wonder tube screamer all used, and mayby a Ernie ball vp junior volume pedal, we're talking less then $350, I personally have a dd-20, strymon bluesky, and 3 stages of drive and a volume pedal and a bunch of other stuff, but if your just starting boss, tc electronic, and pedals like that are great, stay away from strymon pedals until you get good, and then invest in a timeline but it's gonna be a longggg time

      +Ranger Manager 365 first, I can tell right off the bat you don't have worship experience or worship producing experience, he's at a professional level making professional music, he needs to sound great, also, worship is in the heart, but because we are worshiping Jesus we should make the music the best we can make it, We should strive to make the music as best we can. Can I ask if your an electric guitar player?
