Annabel was the most forgettable frontier brain in Emerald. You got blonde Princess Leia with the kungfu style, Noland with the lab coat with the sleeves cut off, Dhalsim, Joe Brandon, and the mistress of misfortune: Pike Queen Lucy. Annabelle was literally just a female psychic NPC trainer. She was never cut out for the Frontier. Edit: and of course, the grande dame of great dome, Frontier Brain Tucker, who needs no introduction but receives one anyways.
@HesGotaGun505 Tucker was the only one I could ever beat as a child cause the battle dome was the most straightforward, honestly the battle dome absolutely should have returned.
@@IskandrArchive I remember getting thrashed by Tucker, I can’t recall if I ever beat him. I definitely remember winning against Lucy and feeling like I was the best trainer on Earth. I also remember reaching Noland but I don’t know if I ever beat him.
Can confirm about Harrington. I am playing Violet after playing Scarlet at launch. Got to the base and he is there. “Oh yeah,” I think to myself. “He’s like a butler or something at Ortega’s home, right?” Then he explains that he was the former director. @@PinkSneaselGirl Kahili only appears in Ten Carat Hill in the Ultra games. I'm actually doing a playthrough of Sun right now, and you just find the Flying Z Crystal on your own once you get Machamp for your Ride Pager.
Petrel is fairly memorable imo since he has the whole disguise thing he likes to do. Trevor and Tierno just feel unnecessary as characters. At least Shauna gets decent screentime.
@Flizz0 I feel like Proton and Petrel both were more memorable than Archer, at least before Let's GO. Proton has a few grunts that thirst for him and Petrel has a really funny personality.
I just gotta say, how do you not know Beni is Wally's ancestore during the game? From his main pokemon being Gardevoir abd Gallade to his Hair when he takes off the cover over it? He's SUPER identifiable as Wallys ancestor. Thats almost like saying its not obvious that Cogita and Volo are Cynthias ancestors
I'd say the most forgettable character in Kanto is Blue's sister Daisy. She's always had a unique sprite, but all she does is give you the Town Map and groom your Pokémon in the Johto games. I don't think it's technically required to talk to her, but nobody besides speedrunners is going to want to skip getting the Town Map. The Isle of Armor also has Mustard and Honey's son Hyde, who gives you the Exp. Charm and a Porygon.
I remember Fennel, but I'm biased because the Dream World is such an intriguing concept that I can't ever forget her purely because she's so heavily associated with it lmao.
For Alola I would've given the title to the flying type elite four member. I don't remember seeing her throughout the games, and she randomly appeared as an elite four member. I honestly don't even remember her name.
I could never forget Mira. Mostly 'cuz that happened to be my character's name in Pearl. I thought I'd met some kind of copycat or doppelganger npc, and it took me quite a long time to realize that that was just supposed to be her name.
I'd like to suggest Crystal as being the most forgotten character in Johto, as they eventually got replaced with Lyra as an MC and was quietly phased out. She even got replaced in the anime and manga!
In the Galar section you completely missed Hyde, Mustard, and Honey's child who built the cram-o-ramic, and because you forgot about him, I think that shows how forgettable he is. Alot of the pokemon storage system makers are forgotten too with Bill and Jacq being the most well known
I'd actually say Gurken isn't that forgettable because while I definitely won't remember him too much, I remember the Team Flare Admins even less. And I call them the Admins because I forgot all 4 of their names.
Imo older gen characters had something that the gen 8 and 9 characters dont have. I cant tell a single name from any important character from these games and remember even the slightest details from the old ones
I personally disagree with Gurkinn. I think his part in obtaining the Mega Ring makes him more memorable than Alexa. Yes, Alexa is important in the anime as the one who brought Ash to Kalos, but even in the anime she's hardly ever seen after that and in the games, for many, she's simply the lady who gave you Exp. Share. So, my vote in Kalos is Alexa. Otherwise, though, I agree with your picks.
Giving you a like 'cause I think you are a nice narrator and I want to support the work you did. I'd like to say though, like 70% of these characters I have never seen or heard of and I have played every game multiple times, also I am someone who enters every house and speaks to every npc so for me it felt like a character that you are unlikely to encounter and only speaks to you once I would not include them. Can I suggest something for a video (in case you have not done it already)? Most forgetable gym leaders, or most charismatics too. I'll give an example, Idk if anyone agrees but KOGA from Kanto. For me this was a good choice for this video because although he is a gym leader if I told u "tell me the leaders in Kanto" I think most of us would go "Sabrina, Brock, Misty, LT. Surge"... but Koga usually goes last to me, or even worse his daughter.
I’d argue Will and Karen of the GS/HGSS Elite Four are in the running for Johto. They’re the only new characters in that line up, Bruno the only one from the original line-up and Koga getting a promotion from gym leader, and there’s absolutely nothing in terms of lore about them in the game as well as no anime appearances either. Sabrina is in the post-game at the Saffron gym as a psychic type specialist too, and it’d be the next Gen before an actually interesting at least to battle dark type Elite Four user.
1:45 It's second rival with romantic scene and he actually has cool personality and is more involved than a lot of other rivals. Hau/Hop are much more forgettable. Same with like Brendan/May, who literally don't even get full team fight. From Kanto - out of the characters the TV dude is obvious choice, Celio or whoever is the dude from Sevi's Storage system is right after him. Out of RGBY I would say only leaders are relevant and I would pick Erika as forgettable - she literally is lined up with three other trainers and is usually sped run when you focus more on Rocket Base and entrance to Saffron / Pokémon Tower. And she has bad team on top of it all.
Id argue Mr. Stu Deeoh is more forgettable than Fennel in Unova. He's only in BW2, and mandatory when you have to go to Pokestar studios. He technically has a personality, but ive never thought of him since encountering him. Fennel at least has some interesting things about her, like her backstory with Prof. Juniper
Fennel has always stood out to me because her design felt weirdly generic in a good way. I barely even touched the dream world, but I've always had Fennel in the back of my mind. I'd say one of the sages would take the top spot. I couldn't name any of them aside from Zinzolin.
I honestly thought he would go for some of the other obscure ones: -The Team Flare Scientists: Aliana, Bryony, Celosia, Mable, and Xerosic are pretty hard to remember, yet they are like the admins of the group (even though they have admins). -Emma is also another forgettable one because of her post game appearance as Essentia but Masters decided to make her shine more and fight alongside Looker and Anabel. -There is also the Battle Chatelaines: Nita, Evelyn, Dana and Morgan, which work similar to the Frontier Brains but less known, in my opinion. Also do Sina and Dexio count? They appeared in X and Y but also in Ultra Sun and Moon.
I had to go onto the internet to figure out these characters I forgot the names to and had to think to the recess of my mind as to who i was forgetting. Kanto: Baoba the Warden Johto: Kiyo the Karate Master Hoenn: Rydel the Bike Guy Sinnoh: Mr Backlot Unova: Amanita, Flennel's sister Kalos: Inver the Invert Battle Guy Alola: I forgot about Ryuki when you brought him up. Galar: Cara Liss I guess Hisui: I cannot believe I forgot about... Rye? That's his name? Huh. Paldea: oh yeah, I forgot about Harrington
Gen 6 it should definitely be dexio and girl counterpart (i genuinely can't even recall her name). The only reason they came to mind is their annoying cutscene dialog where the pair implies they've helped you when they def had not
Why do people pronounce the "J" in "Juan" as a "W"? WHY!? 😂 (it's a very strong "H" sound) PS: I've played Emerald many times, and don't know who the heck that Noland is hahahaha
Mira and Buck are definitely not the most forgettable Sinnoh characters, as proven by the fact that even you forgot about the girl who made the PC in Sinnoh. I don't even remember her name or why she even exists when it could have just been Bill again.
I think Cassius should be the most forgettable guy from kalos. Who is he? He's the guy who runs the pokemon storage system in kalos from camphrier town.
some of these entries feel.... weird? like can a character have a memorable moment but still be forgettable in the eyes of it's fans and while i know this list is purely your opinion it does kinda show that not everyone explores or talks to everyone a thousand times like i do (peonia lmao) personally celio is a weird entry for me since firered and leafgreen were how i experienced kanto for the first time and i wanted to do as much as i could which meant i got lost quite a bit exploring the sevii islands and talked to everyone a lot to find out what to do or go next, including celio lol anyway ryuki should've been on this list since he unfortunately has a cool design with a lot of thought put into it but only has a chance of appearing in sun and moon at the champion defense and is technically optional in the ultra games at the kantonian gym
NGL i was expecting Kalos' to be sina and dexio jaja For paldea I ironically would say its the protagonist, how many of you guys knew they had official names?
If it's only about forgetting their names then almost everyone in gen 3 and 4 and literally every single character beginning with gen 5 is forgettable to me. Beginning with gen 5 I wouldn't even be able to remember the rivals or local professors without having to think for a longer time. Everyone else I might remember how they look like or when they are encountered but don't ask me about their names.
i think the main one i didnt know was Celio since he's only in FRLG and those are some of my least played games, i knew who u were talking about for all of the rest of the characters.

@@GameBreaker1055 I'd actually say that Lanette is more forgettable, since you only see her once in or near Fallarbor Town. Scott runs into you a few times throughout your journey, and I'm pretty sure you can even call him on your PokeNav.
@@jamiecinder9412 I don't think Lanette is a mandatory meet, is she?
@@GameBreaker1055 When my sister played Sapphire, it still said SOMEONE'S PC when she was in Lilycove City, so she had to miss Lanette in order for that to happen.
@@jamiecinder9412 Which means Lanette is not a mandatory encounter and therefore not a fitting pick for the list
@@GameBreaker1055 She might be a mandatory encounter in ORAS, though. I don't think you can heal at the Fallarbor Town PokeCenter until you talk to her. Which... I guess you don't need to do that, but you'd have to hike all the way back to Verdanturf Town to heal your Pokemon.
Petrel definitely isn't forgettable if you're a competitive Pokémon player because he's the avatar of choice of comedy genius Reverend
Guessing characters that may be in this before watching: Teala, Cassius, Primo and Ryuki
for Kanto I would've probably picked Daisy Oak
@@confusedpsyduck714 Are you sure? She's Red's next door neighbor and she generously gives him a Town Map after Blue specifically asked her not to.
Bold of you to assume I forgot about Professor Juniper’s girlfriend
Annabel was the most forgettable frontier brain in Emerald. You got blonde Princess Leia with the kungfu style, Noland with the lab coat with the sleeves cut off, Dhalsim, Joe Brandon, and the mistress of misfortune: Pike Queen Lucy. Annabelle was literally just a female psychic NPC trainer. She was never cut out for the Frontier.
Edit: and of course, the grande dame of great dome, Frontier Brain Tucker, who needs no introduction but receives one anyways.
And even then you forgot tucker the most fabulous frontier brain
The anime made her very popular at the time.
@@IskandrArchive I knew I would forget one. Im actually amazed I forgot Tucker.
How dare you, based on the thumbnail, imply that Fennel is forgettable!
Who ?
I *KNEW* it was going to be Celio before you even started lol
He IS in the thumbnail
Who could forget Scott? He had such a cool shirt and shades.
A character so forgettable that they didn't even get mentioned is Mustard's son
damn magnus is so forgettable he's not even mentioned
Fennel was the main villain in Twitch Plays Pokémon for a bit, so I didn't forget about her.
"Here's some forgettable characters"
*Names a bunch of my favorite characters
Can confirm about Harrington. I am playing Violet after playing Scarlet at launch. Got to the base and he is there. “Oh yeah,” I think to myself. “He’s like a butler or something at Ortega’s home, right?” Then he explains that he was the former director. Totally forgot about him and even what his role was.
Magnus from the Pokéathlon Dome totally disappeared from my memory until I replayed HG
I’m replaying a difficulty hack of soul silver and reached the pokeathlon like 2 days ago and I had already forgotten about him
Guess Cassisus, the dude that run the storage system in Kalos, is more notable than the grandfather of Shalour City’s Gym Leader
Dude, you talked about the Alola E4 and DIDN'T pick Kahili? I hadto look her up just now to remember her name. At least Malone has you meeting him before the E4 in the story, while you only run into Kahili in an optional side area where you get a missable z crystal
@@PinkSneaselGirl Kahili only appears in Ten Carat Hill in the Ultra games. I'm actually doing a playthrough of Sun right now, and you just find the Flying Z Crystal on your own once you get Machamp for your Ride Pager.
I would argue that Magnus, the pokeathlon guy, is way more forgettable and obscure than DJ Mary
Petrel is fairly memorable imo since he has the whole disguise thing he likes to do.
Trevor and Tierno just feel unnecessary as characters. At least Shauna gets decent screentime.
Petrel is one of my favourite Team Rocket members!!
@Flizz0 I feel like Proton and Petrel both were more memorable than Archer, at least before Let's GO. Proton has a few grunts that thirst for him and Petrel has a really funny personality.
@@13CrystalHeart petrel is on my dream blunt rotation, the guy always looks high
How could you possibly forget Juan and his lovely Kingdra
When I saw the thumbnail, I was like: Bro, that's Celio.
I expected the Team Flare Scientists to be the most forgetable of Kalos.
I'd like to suggest Crystal as being the most forgotten character in Johto, as they eventually got replaced with Lyra as an MC and was quietly phased out. She even got replaced in the anime and manga!
The Quilladin slander 😵💫
The 4 Female Team Flare admins so forgettable that Petrel and Proton unjustly got called most forgettable admins
In the Galar section you completely missed Hyde, Mustard, and Honey's child who built the cram-o-ramic, and because you forgot about him, I think that shows how forgettable he is. Alot of the pokemon storage system makers are forgotten too with Bill and Jacq being the most well known
In Kalos those 2 people that pretend to be superheroes or whatever were probably my pick
I never forgot Fennel because I'm kinda pissed that the Dream World isn't available anymore.
I'd actually say Gurken isn't that forgettable because while I definitely won't remember him too much, I remember the Team Flare Admins even less. And I call them the Admins because I forgot all 4 of their names.
It’s so weird that some people think Scott is forgettable since I was introduced to Pokémon through the Battle Frontier anime
Imo older gen characters had something that the gen 8 and 9 characters dont have. I cant tell a single name from any important character from these games and remember even the slightest details from the old ones
Celio is optional, you can say no to Bill when he asks you to go to the Sevii Islands
For the first 3 gens it goes like this: Daisy Oak, Kimono Girls and Captain Stern
Oh god, could you imagine Peter Griffin in the Pokemon universe? Or maybe Brain the Growlithe?
Hey Lois, I'm a Pokemon Trainer, freakin' sweet!
BENI???
Ikr he was the biggest twist this game had
12:10 Thats on you he has both of signature pikemon on gardevoir and Gallade he has green hair ph and WALLY'S EXACT HAIR STYLE as a ninja
Karen has that one line that makes.competitive players mildly annoyed
@@jbcatz5 Will is way more forgettable than Karen. Everybody remembers Karen's "Strong Pokemon. Weak Pokemon" speech she gives once she's defeated.
Juniper
What about Elder Li, in the Sprout Tower?
I always booted up my GBA to watch teachy tv cuz I never had cable and I loved it
I will never forget secret power guy and the radio guy from gold and silver and Mr Pokémon
Nobody remembers Charon in Sinnoh :(
Im surprised that for Kalos you didn’t say the team Flare admin girlies. I feel like no one remembers him
Kalos is a trick question because every single character is the most forgettable character /j
Fennel has always stood out to me because her design felt weirdly generic in a good way. I barely even touched the dream world, but I've always had Fennel in the back of my mind.
I'd say one of the sages would take the top spot. I couldn't name any of them aside from Zinzolin.
What about Hyde for Galar? Mustard and Honey's son that you have to meet because he gives you the Exp Charm?
Going into Kalos I said to myself “I hope he doesn’t pick the guru for this one” 😂🤦🏾♂️
I honestly thought he would go for some of the other obscure ones:
-The Team Flare Scientists: Aliana, Bryony, Celosia, Mable, and Xerosic are pretty hard to remember, yet they are like the admins of the group (even though they have admins).
Kanto: Baoba the Warden
Johto: Kiyo the Karate Master
Hoenn: Rydel the Bike Guy
Sinnoh: Mr Backlot
Unova: Amanita, Flennel's sister
Kalos: Inver the Invert Battle Guy
Alola: I forgot about Ryuki when you brought him up.
Galar: Cara Liss I guess
Hisui: I cannot believe I forgot about...
WHY!? 😂 (it's a very strong "H" sound)
PS: I've played Emerald many times, and don't know who the heck that Noland is hahahaha
Buck is not forgettable tho
cool video man
How did you not catch on that Beni is Wally's ancestor. They have the exact same hair jusg with a little white in the mix.
Except Harrington is just like Youngster Joey or Biker John. He doesn't have a unique sprite. I don't think he should count.
Johto: Magnus from pokeathlon
some of these entries feel.... weird? like can a character have a memorable moment but still be forgettable in the eyes of it's fans
and while i know this list is purely your opinion it does kinda show that not everyone explores or talks to everyone a thousand times like i do (peonia lmao)
personally celio is a weird entry for me since firered and leafgreen were how i experienced kanto for the first time and i wanted to do as much as i could which meant i got lost quite a bit exploring the sevii islands and talked to everyone a lot to find out what to do or go next, including celio lol
anyway ryuki should've been on this list since he unfortunately has a cool design with a lot of thought put into it but only has a chance of appearing in sun and moon at the champion defense and is technically optional in the ultra games at the kantonian gym
NGL i was expecting Kalos' to be sina and dexio jaja
For paldea I ironically would say its the protagonist, how many of you guys knew they had official names?
If it's only about forgetting their names then almost everyone in gen 3 and 4 and literally every single character beginning with gen 5 is forgettable to me. Beginning with gen 5 I wouldn't even be able to remember the rivals or local professors without having to think for a longer time. Everyone else I might remember how they look like or when they are encountered but don't ask me about their names.
I would say that Carrie is more forgettable in Jotho
i think the main one i didnt know was Celio since he's only in FRLG and those are some of my least played games, i knew who u were talking about for all of the rest of the characters.
