For anyone complaining about the 12 team playoff still would you rather watch 1 Oregon vs 4 Penn State (rematch of the B1G chip) and 2 Georgia vs 3 Texas (rematch of SEC chip) sounds like a great playoff smh

They set up the pairings so the Rose Bowl will be Ohio St vs Oregon. Regardless, if the complainers dont like the seedings than they shouldn't have created the format. The committee did a great job following instructions.

The committee definitely got it right and Alabama fans are losing their minds because of it. I'm looking forward to all of the first round matchups but especially when my Vols travel up to Columbus to play Ohio State.
Tennessee plays great defense and runs the ball very well. That will definitely help them in the cold weather in Columbus. Although the Ohio State fans saying that Tennessee isn't in the south is rather hilarious.

The Committee got it right. SMU earned their spot in the CFP. Alabama's losses to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma were the key factor.
The 1st Round matchups are very intriguing imo. Steve, SMU vs. Penn State catches my eye because SMU likes to go fast on offense, and taking on that strong Penn State defense will be interesting. Indiana vs. Notre Dame should be fun too. The whole state of Indiana will be up for that one! And I'll be rooting for former Bobcat QB Kurtis Rourke to do well. 🐱

They got the teams right but the seeding wrong. Michigan AD intentionally ignored Ohio State's PSU tiebreaker giving PSU and Texas that easy routes. Both OSU, Texas and PSU have 2 losses; but, OSU is 2-1 against AP Top 5 teams. Texas and PSU are 0-2 against AP Top 5 teams.

PSU finished the regular season 11-1. Ohio State finished the regular season 10-2. Even after the Champ game PSU's record was 11-2. Those two teams didn't have the same record.
Also - they were clear for weeks that they would not penalize Conference Championship game losers while other teams were home sitting on the couch. They kept their word across the board.

No the committee didn't get it right.
    My top 12 rankings...
    1) Oregon
    2) Georgia
    3) Ohio St
    4) Texas
    5) Alabama
    6) Arizona St
    7) Boise St
    8) Tennessee
    9) BYU
    10) SMU
    11) Penn St
    12) Notre Dame
    And my playoff seeding...
    1) Oregon
    2) Georgia
    3) Arizona St
    4) Boise St
    5) Ohio St
    6) Texas
    7) Alabama
    8) Tennessee
    9) BYU
    10) SMU
    11) Penn St
    12) Clemson
You may disagree with my rankings. But the thing about my rankings is that they are consistent. You can see what I value. I value quality wins over anything loss related. I value record vs bowl eligible opponents (and % of opponents who are bowl eligible), record vs P4 opponents. I value all of these things over loss count (although that obviously matters as well).
There is no consistency in what the committee does. One example of many.... Indiana is in according to the committee. Indiana is 11-1, which is obviously great. But their best win was over 7-5 Michigan. The only 10+ win team they faced was Ohio St and they were destroyed in an uncompetitive game. Army is 12-1, again thats great. Their best win was over 9-3 Tulane. Their only game against a 10+ win team was against Notre Dame and they were destroyed in an uncompetitive game. So if youre putting Indiana in just because they only have one loss then why is Army not in as well? Those two teams basically have identical resumes.

Thats the beauty and problem with rankings. Cant prove anyones is better than anyone elses.

Well I guess you need to get a job on the CFP committee, if not your just another person whining. I don't think the committee will be accepting your application anytime soon.

The committee got the teams right under the current rules. I totally disagree the top 4 conference champs get a bye. It should be the top 4 teams. Conf champs if not ranked in the top 4, would get a guaranteed home game in the first week. Oregon got screwed in the seeding and Penn State playing SMU and then possibly Boise State is not right to me.

    • @CarlaJenkinsTV
      @CarlaJenkinsTV Месяц назад

Ohio State got screwed. it is 2-1 versus AP Top 5. Texas and PSU are 0-2 against AP Top 5. OSU has the PSU tiebreaker. Blame Michigan AD Warde Manuel for that.

    • @jeh58
      @jeh58 Месяц назад

Nope, Win your games on your schedule, win your conference and you get a bye, and or home game. Works for the NFL, so I am fine with it. We know the polls are always going to favor the P2 schools, so this kind of equalizes things.

@@CarlaJenkinsTV Wow, Ohio state got screwed, really? Maybe they should have beat Michigan. That screwed them. Ohio State screwed themselves.

Since you know who the top 4 are who will be the final four?
