@ Mid Nebraska Motorsports. Iknow this video was from over 2 years ago but it’s been extremely helpful. Just one question. Are there supposed to be 2 of the black half moons you said to make sure not to loose at around 3:12 in the video or not. If there is mine only had one unless I dropped it down by the timing chain when I was taking it apart. Also how would I go about getting that out. Any help would be much appreciated!
I have a Polaris outlaw 500 was riding it and stalled in second would not start with the starter just cranked over only starts with a push start now and doesn’t feel right any ideas???
Is it possible to replace timing chain without removal of engine and/or head? I am in the middle of attempting to complete this project, obviously if there is no other way, then that's what I will do, but I feel as though I've taken apart more than needed. Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated
mary and chris dougherty-Young thanks, I am still working on it, I had already done those things you've mentioned, however still was unable to remove chain
The thrust washers are what go in the cam holder. They can fall into the bottom end when removing.
These 4 videos was really helpful thanks!
