    Love this bruh... I was in recovery for a few months. I noticed small thing s happen to me. Seems as if women were leaning toward me. I waa getting job offers just from strangers. My ex text me after a year. Sleeping. Working out. Smiling more. Less guilt. Then only to realize that it was my real true self attracting these great things. Life if beautiful

  • @hunkgolden5584

    That was a really great explanation of the benefits. Thanks. I'm quitting drinking again today. I had pretty much a year sober and then July 4th started drinking again. I've regretted that decision. It's very hard to stop once you start like that. And your Social Scene becomes the bar with your friends.

    this is my day 11 free from drinking alcohol and man I feel pretty good generally, I've had times where I've wanted to quit before but the motivation and timing never seemed quite right or I could come into contact with people where the opportunity arose to drink and there was peer pressure and my will power wasnt that good, but this time it just seemed to fall perfectly, as it was, I wasnt really enjoying drinking anymore, and because it was around christmas, its like the thing to do, so I would do it, but I found my mind was blurred when I drank and it led to overthinking and sometimes not being present in the moment, I used to feel badly depressed the day after a heavy session or I would feel anxious in public...it is only day 11 free but Im already getting compliments saying I look well and people noticing positive changes in me, I would reccomend anyone considering giving it up to go for it, there is will power required at first but the longer I go without it, the less I want it....I feel this time I'll be successful and kick it for good...alcohol was slowly killing me but now I'm starting to get my life back

    • @TreyJones
      @TreyJones  7 лет назад +2

      Wow thanks for sharing your story! I love this. First off, congrats on getting to day 11! You should be pretty much done with any physical symptoms of withdrawal. The anxiety and stress may take a little longer, but your attitude seem solid and it may not bother you as much. Keep going and dont give up. I will say that temptation is very sneaky and can have you on your knees again so be very aware of that! Keep in touch if you need anything. • @Astronomical1
    @Astronomical1 7 лет назад +5

    I decided to quit/(well cut back) a lot on drinking., when your sober drunk people get on your nerves .
    I. Haven't had a drink since New Years and my fitness watch said I got like 6:55hrs of sleep the days leading up to my last drink i was getting 4:55 and 3:46hrs of sleep. I would often wake up at 5a or 6am wide awake. I would often have to take a nap before work at 2pm. ( I work 5-11p) otherwise I would be dead tired by 10. now that I quit drinking I can't even attempt to take a nap...
    I've saved soooo much money dude. I get off at 11p and all my friends have regular jobs so since it boring I would go to bar on way home and spend 20$ 5 nights a week .
    When your talking about seeing things clearly, i noticed that all the people i was friends with were bar people. ( you are the 5 people you hangout with they say )
    Thanks for making this video.. i was showing a friend cause he didn't believe me

    • @TreyJones
      @TreyJones  7 лет назад +2

      +Astronomical 1 that's awesome man! First off nice shirt! Go cowboys. Gonna get that super bowl this year. Congrats on stopping. Things will only get better from here. The money will roll in and getting good sleep is gold in itself. Thanks for the comment and subscribe if you get the time!

    • @Astronomical1
      @Astronomical1 7 лет назад +2

      Trey Jones yeah that was the main problem dude, when the cowboys would win we would be so happy we would drink ALOT at the bar. If they played a day game like let's say the 12pm game we would drink until the 7pm game sometime all the way through depending if they beat a real good team .It wouldn't be so bad when they played the 7pm cause I wouldn't drink until like 6pm. Now if the played the 3pm that where I really run into problem. I would get so anxious at the house and bored ( like your one of your videos said your body knows it's time for a drink ) so i would get to bar at half time of the first set of game and end up drinking all the way until 11p.
      Here is another thing. One Sunday this season I had to stay home ( I think it was a Monday night game ) cause I had a test tomorrow and couldn't get drunk . And dude I actually paid attention and remembered what happend in the game.amd was like wow this interesting way to watch the game.
      The next week i was like I'm gonna just go to bar right when the game was comming on... the bar tender was like damn you must haven't been drinking all day before the game .. I asked her why she say that ..she said because i was more mellow and less trying to be cocky and funny.
      When it's not football season I don't seek drinking much.. I don't even have it home . For me it's more about being lonely cause all my true friends from back in the day are all married with kids and don't want to go out anymore. So i would say the bar filled that void..
      On a last note : i remember last season when we would be losing I remmeber a friend who is a cop telling me when cowboys lose the rates of bar fights , and domestic violence would go up a lot.

    Today is day 4. This is my 3rd time. I've realized, I am not a person who can have 2 or 3 and stop. I mean, it starts out that way, but then I always end up overboard. No self control. I've ran out of excuses for myself. Having a shitty abusive childhood isn't a good enough excuse for me anymore. I took responsibility, and accountability for myself, and my actions. I'm about to be 30 years old, this has gone on long enough. Life has been so much better than it used to be, and I'm feeling hopeful for the first time in my life. Wishing anyone wanting to quit, the best of luck✌🏽

    Past 5 years I have been 3 or 4 days on the grog using it as a stress relief. My first week off it and already I notice the changes. Even when I was a gym junkie 5 years ago I always had a Saturday night piss up. If I get to 2 weeks that will be a first for me (I think). You can't be present in the moment when your only thinking about how you are getting your next drink. Great video look forward to feeling even better.

    I had s slip and fall a week ago. I was drunk of course. I was rushed to the ER and kept in the hospital for a week. 1/2 my body is black and blue, one eye was swollen shut etc.
    The good news is that I'm detoxed now and haven't had a drink in since. I don't want to ruin this opportunity BUT I do feel like I need medication to keep off booze while I make the transition.
    The doctor gave me Atavan and that seems to help but I'm afraid I could get addicted to that.
    What are your thoughts on Atavan, Librium etc. as a tool towards a sober lifestyle?

    Seriously i look pregnant and it wont go away, i thought i had a food allergy or digestive problem i've been on the net all day trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me then i thought about when my severe bloating started and was last summer when i drank beer heavily almost every other day.. It's all from alcohol consumption and too much coffee. I already quit biting my nails and smoking cigarettes last year, then i went to drinking heavily i guess one addiction to the next.

    I drank for 3 years. I was a blackout drunk (every single day) and boy did I fuck up my life. I would say the first week is the hardest. I failed many times trying to stop. Cravings and withdraws were just to intense. if you can get past that first couple weeks, I would say you would have a good chance getting sober. antabuse and a good diet helped me. I been sober for about 40 days now. my thinking and my view on reality changed. I'm out my drunk fantasy land. I cant tell you much more on + side effects because for about 30 days I just straight slept. I had NO energy. my body had to go into recovery mode. sad thing is, even after countless hospital visits and coming face to face with death countless times - my cravings still exist. its fucking evil. just a testimony.

    Hey man thanks for your video. Actually I am very new in drinking. I get drunk with just 3 beer. I drank like 3 to 4 times a month last year(2016). Now all of a sudden I have started to stop drinking. Now I have noticed some sort of physical weakness. I am worried that its already too late and its giving me a lot of panic. Thanks.

      I have been there! You gotta start working on your anxiety. Have you tried tapering down instead of cold turkey? As far as the anxiety goes, make sure that you are exercising daily, eating a great diet, keeping a journal, practicing meditation and positive thinking, take a multi vitamin, work on getting 8 hours of sleep. Another thing about my Drinking...It made me fat lol. within 2-3 months,i had gained a lot of heavy weight to the point i felt like a giant sack of potatoes...i was always to weak and slumped a lot,everytime i'd get in to take a shower,i felt bloated and heavy and almost short of breath a lot,stomach acid like crazy,shaking hands,my neck fattened up really bad,i looked like a balloon,it was that bad,but oddly enough once i dropped the booze,i lost that weight quicker than shit lol. at first,my stomach looked like it was going down,then my neck would skinny up and my Jawline would show again. I Found out that Alcohol (especially beer) causes your body to hold on to extra fluids,therefor causing the Alcohol bloat. It's short of water retention...but you look and feel like you ate 10 helpings of shit. I Know my body felt warm to the touch all the time,my skin was really dry,my face was puffy,my feet started to smell really bad etc. and all of that put together just sucked. I Had NO Energy left.

      Heya Ivan. I know from experience the first days off drinking are the worst for cravings. Thats why its a cycle going back and forth from wanting to quit and drinking again. If you can last a few days and deny the cravings it will be easier as time goes on. Also, ever try A.A. as well?
