WOW - this was a great video*****! I am a transplant here via the military from a neighboring border town in Virginia. I had to laugh about the sweet tea and pollen. The tea is like drinking syrup, so I only have unsweetened. As for the pollen, it's a honeybee's version of heaven. Every spring, after the end of May we have the house pressure washed to get rid of the thick pollen. To do it sooner is a waste of money. Everything you said is so spot on.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your story! It sounds like you’ve really embraced life here (even with the sweet tea and pollen challenges!). I completely agree, waiting until late May for a pressure wash is definitely the way to go. Thanks again for watching and for your thoughtful comment!

Where can you see the maps for flood prone areas?

If you go on any MLS site like Redfin, expand the map and click “flood”. Greensboro is not a flood prone area. Then again no one expected it to the west, but the storm was very unusual. Greensboro is in a flatter area and you don’t get the risk of floods coming down the mountains and getting caught in the valleys. Check the flood maps on the various sites and you’ll see Greensboro is pretty safe.

Great question! You can check out flood-prone areas using the FEMA Flood Map Service Center. It’s super easy to use and a great resource for learning about flood zones. Here’s the link: msc.fema.gov/portal/home!
