Broke my leg moshing to "Unholy Confessions" in 2007, have seen Avenged over three dozen times since around 2003/2004. Have the deathbat tattooed across my chest, a memorial tattoo for the Rev across the top of my entire right hand and at least a dozen other Avenged tattoos. You are officially in my world and I welcome you wholeheartedly and with open arms, kick your shoes off, bang your head, have some fun.
Going to add that you should really do a dual listen of "Walk" by Pantera and then the cover of it by Avenged.
The thing about Avenge7Fold they teach you what will happen to you if you go down that road with all their songs. They are kinda warning you not to do certain things. They're an amazing group.
Like a lesson learned with really great music.

One of my favorite Metal bands. Starting out with Synyster Gates playing. He is one of the best rock guitarist out there and I am bragging with the cliché of "I knew him back in school and he was incredible guitar player even then.". Just sitting there listening to him play around on the guitar back then, you just knew he was going to do what he ends up doing. He was an amazing down to earth guy and I'm proud to have known him and watch his career flourish. Please react to more A7F thank you!

I study history so for me, i see this song as a particularly brutal ancient battlefield coming from a historical aspect.
I veiw it the same. Especially the first few verses, along with the crows. I do think the message is trying to tie into today as well though.

You should do scream or critical acclaim live @LBC. You'll get to see and hear Jimmy "the Rev" Sullivan play drums while singing before his death in late 2009. He was very talented. One of the G.O.A.T. drummers and all round creative song writers.

This song to me is about Judgement Day. The one true King is God, the key to joining him on his throne is within you... ie the choices you make from your heart when evil flourishes around you. The song is telling you to stand in his light and rejoice in his presence... those who choose not to, who choose darkness, will fall away. And I wouldn't worry - you may have done some "devilish" things in the past, but your heart comes across as pure and your soul as gentle!! It's the reason I watch your channel 🌞💜
