I didn't know this was played on a 8-string. One of the best songs on the album.
Reverie, The Audacity, Fuck Around and Find Out, Chimera, and Bloodbath are all on 8 string
And still there is people that think people just use 8 string to play 1/2 strings
@@rdr.erased just like theres people thinking 8 strings is something new
One of the best songs, duh there are only so many songs 😂
@@danes123 fuck around is a seven string i wish i had an 8 string so i could play these songs 😭
I’ve been obsessed with the sound of Tim’s/Polyphia’s style ever since I first heard it. Always fresh, clean, and sexy.
Jeremy fragrance fan?
@@lucaguitar2154 underrated comment
Freah, clean and sexy. Couldn't have put it better
Fr
Becasue it's the same thing every time. That's how the pop music formula works.
Tim is definitely a top musician of todays time
I wouldn't agree, he hasn't found mainstream success. The only people that know polyphia are guitar players. Never met anyone who didn't play who would not think this is the muppets guy
@@FrankFurther mainstream success has more to do with marketability, greed and 'the music business' rather than anything to do with your actual music (obviously it having to be 'good' is a given). don't let the most common denominator be your compass for quality.
@@FrankFurther he means technically and innovation wise
@@FrankFurther I dont play guitar and I have discovered them on tiktok about half an hour ago and im absolutely in love
Definitely one of the musicians of all time
This track isn't talked about enough. Total banger.
My favorite on the album!
Talked enough where? Lol it's a good song
@@Killercoddbz Same!
Top 3 for sure, fucking slaps
My favorite one, it's so catchy.
I always thought that part at 0:41 was bass lmao the fact he’s slapping the 8 string like one is awesome
"thumping" actually
Same, seems like he incorporated some Tobin Abasi technique
I'll never get over how clean and precise his playing is
Even when him and Scottie play together live, like on the Chimera live video from not long ago. So fucking good, and there are some differences in these versions to the album versions that I actually like more haha
CGI

They also have a really good production, even this "live" performance its EDITED so very much, you can actually find just few records whent Tim playes dry..and guys its not even close after adding effects in studio...
@@Emir_The_Guitarist not nearly as much as you’d think. Their albums are heavily quantized. This is not. Sure they can have multiple attempts to get something right, but this is more or less a live performance
The first 5 seconds is what differentiates Polyphia from other bands. They easily could've looped the first 5 seconds of the riff the entire song but it progresses so hard into something out of your expectations. Keeps you engaged. Love it
His music is pretty, his guitar is pretty, and he's pretty. Such a legend of the modern scene
Dude knows where he's going. In 5 years he'll be on a whole another level.
@@Mike-tb2hw facts !!
still waiting for thbb8 release 🤞🤞🤞
Tim once said production cost of this guitar was around 5k$ so sadly i dont think so
We can dream
He said on the studio tour it wasn’t going to release :(
He said it would never reach production 😢
I wish they were produced but sadly they never will be
Out of every song on the album I thought this one had the strongest Polyphia sound to it. Absolute banger. Love it.
Yep 100% I love every one and even though this isn’t my favorite but it’s in my tops, I feel like this and Memento Mori have the most classic Polyphia or at least most NLND sound to it
6 strings is not enough anymore for him, his powers are expanding, he needs even more fretboard. And oh boy you can be sure he's gonna use every fret and string of this guitar
he's also gotten to the point to where he doesn't need a pick
stop counting strings play/listen music
@@Deep42Thought that was literally a joke
The poor bassist...
It won't be long before he surpassed davie504 and gets a 420 string guitar
I need a full, band, and acoustic playthrough of this PLEASE
0:39 The ease with which you hit that 4 note chord so cleanly just boggles me.
A whole shit load of compression.
idk how im able to be more and more impressed by the guitars every time i watch a poliphia/tim henson video, they are all so stunning
omg the drums and the bass line such a refreshing and amazing vibe. good job man love it
I love this song, and it's one of the ones I've listened to the most on the new album! I'm hoping so much for a bass playthrough, please, Clay 😁🙏🏻
This is such a good song. Thanks Tim for posting this!
I'm still waiting for a Tosin Abasi collab. You both have unique styles and are the best guitarists I have ever heard. Hearing you on an 8 string really made me want to hear it lol
looks like Tim is getting muscle up after meeting with Heria
Impressed by Sunset, Chimera and Reverie, you're a gifted guitarist. ❤️
great to see you still taking so much pleasure in this over all these years :)
I wanted to hear you play this song to the end man ☹️ fav song on the album! 🤩
Great cover, Tim would be proud
Love the sound of Reverie, one of my favorites on this album
damn bro...this is one of the best songs on an 8 string
He has to be one of if not the best guitarists in the world right now
Tim's songs are catchier. But Tosin and Steve are on a whole other level when it comes to innovations and technical execution.
Guthrie Gavon wants a word with you. Don't get me wrong Tim's good...but Guthrie is masterclass of the masterclass when it comes to guitar.
@@thedurtylemur2282 tim is better than Guthrie
That’s like the Cadillac of guitars right there.
one of my favorite from the album.
man I want a reverie playthrough so bad...
Him and ichika need to have another guitar battle but this time they have 8 string guitars.
Tim’s looking healthy and killing it with these new tracks. Living his best life 🎉

Wow..What inspiration to never give up playing.
Not only a top musician, also a top stylist 😻
8 string thbb10?! Tim’s playing is always fire
Love this song dude! Whole album is fantastic!
holy hell that tone is sooo tight and clean
I would buy this guitar in a heartbeat.
ok i would love that 8 string...
also his playing was so precise i couldnt tell if it was just the isolated guitar track from the finished song or not til like halfway thru thats nuts
So good! Put this on loop, such a mood!
Good song to learn after Smoke on the Water. Thanks.
This is so damn clean
Thanks!
Just brings me joy when this pops up in my notifications ☆
Tim you are amazing! Thank you for everything you do!
An 8 string!? Very nice. Adding more of a deeper tone with those nice upper notes.
Oh man what a guitar 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and Tim.... supreme as usual :)
wowo cheers for this song and the golden RUclips Plaque
The most polyphia song on the album
What is the tuning? Where do you find such a beast? Excellent work. You are truly one of the best guitarists in the 21st century. Nice to see a new generation of musicians show their skill in the 21st century. You are the new Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven of our time. Keep exploring and always reach for new boundaries.
Great work. True artistry
This is such a video of Tim playing guitar
Holy sh!t, that goes hard my boy! I can’t wait for the day Tim outgrows guitars with one neck lol :)
❤❤
Poggers
nice to see this guitar again. I was starting to miss it.
This was so good it’s one of my FAV songs lol
Как же он охуенно играет... Каждый раз кайфую
Reverie (daydreaming) is fun and I love THBB10S8
thank you!!!!!!
待ってました!!!
full cover please!!
you should start a band btw
tim inspires me to buy an 8-string guitar just to sit in the back of my room as i imagine the polyphia songs that i could play with it
Can't wait to see you live on tour!
My favorite track ! Cheers !
RAHHHHH that lead tone is insane
Definitely my favorite artist/guitarist. Huge inspiration. I'd like to know where they started learning wise. Like a video on who gave them lessons growing up??? I definitely sense some classical style in his technique! That's my favorite at the moment
My favorite song from the album
My ears are blessed, you're so talented!
Great as always 🔥
Tim it's April from hospice I'm still here and ur still crushin it! Much love
As I watch this video in absolute dismay, the endless hours of shredding the woodwork just fall's apart in not even a minute. The Dexterity & precision, and not forgetting the groove just makes you shed tears rather than making your guitar DJENTY weep. 😂
I can agree with almost all these posts. He’s extremely talented - as are all the guys in Polyphia. BUT, no one has EVERYTHING, and my only criticism is that they do lack melody. Melody is what makes you “feel”. They tend to go over the top with classy, beautiful playing, but majority of their music lacks melody. I think that almost all their audience would be muso’s - primarily guitarists who can appreciate what they do.
I’m a big fan, but I believe if they focused on melody more (as they are popular due to their talent and technical skills - not so much making songs that “move” people), then they would be even bigger as it’ll open up a bigger audience.
Songs like Crush for example - the chorus in that makes you feel something. People will get tired of all the “trickery” in the end.
Absolutely brilliant and mesmerising guitarists though. Well done.
Tim, I've been waiting to see this played off your hands, thanks for the treat, heck yeah.
I love Reverie! This might be one of the most satisfying videos I’ve watched recently 🙌
his instrumentalist is so originality 🤟🔥
one of my favs
i need that guitar omg
Such a distinguished gentleman for the production value of this riff/video being able to be seamlessly right click looped.
How many strings do you want
Tim: YEES!!
I just love sm the trap beat in the background
One of my favorites
I’ve been waiting for this playthrough :)
There are some levels of guitar playing:
1. Easy
2. Medium
3. Hard
4. Expert
5. Tim Henson
I have a masters in guitar performance... and MAN I WISH I COULD PLAY THAT EFFORTLESSLY. I've been listening to Polyphia for a while but something deep inside me changed with some of the new stuff. I feel that musical intention. \m/
Love these.
That guitar is beyond words.
OK NOT THE RUclips GOLD BUTTON TIM WE GET IT STAN POLYPHIA
My brain hurts watching this. He doesn't even look like he's playing - he looks like someone who's only seen the guitar played in cartoons and is mimicking what he saw.
Meanwhile in actuality he's shredding this crazy funky stuff...
dayyuuummm those stringsss
I'm in love
Just an awesome 8string added to my collection when it drop
I almost thought he was gonna play the ending solo. So many covers and now we get it from the OG
Those arpeggiare are damn amazingly there
Boss
Killing it. 🤩
IT wouldnt surprise me If He played the Background music at the Same time With His feet
The audible gasp I made when I saw this was uploaded
Fav track on the album
Dude! So freakin' groovy. ;-)
Wynona Ryder looking FAF these days!
PLeaasseeee...we need a full band playthrough of reverie.
Hey your pretty good at the guitar! Keep up the good work!
