- I'm tired of my skylights leaking so I decided to remove them and patch up the opening enjoy. By the way I'm using my left hand.

Did you remove the drywall on the inside of the well? What did you do to insulate the roof and ceiling?

I would be more than satisfied to be as good right handed as you are left handed.
I was wondering what type of insulation you used inside the opening before patching it up? Not sure if faced or unfaced insulation should be used, or if using a baffle for separation between the insulation and roof deck is needed. Want to make sure I do it right correctly so moisture forming doesn't become an issue. Trying to find info on insulating such an opening and hard to find info....any tips would be greatly appreciated
You definitely want a baffle on the ceiling for the air flow and I use Craft faced
I want to know what type of wood do I use on the inside to hold the plasterboard? a 2x2 or 2x4 wood?
I think it was a 2x4 but either one would do

Tape is easier to come by for someone doing this for the first time.
I haven’t used old fashioned durabond in 15 years. Is it easier to use than it was then? I hated it.

What would be the cost to pay someone to do this?
That depends are they removing the Skylight doing the roof framing it all in drywall it and finishing it? Or just drywalling it and finishing it?
@@THEDRYWALLDOCTOR1 the skylights have already been removed. New osb laid down and new roof already in place. Just need to drywall and finish the inside
3-5 hundred more if it needs scaffolds
