I love my Street Glide Special, best of the 7 HD's I have owned so far. I added the fairing wind deflectors and they work great. You can find them cheap on ebay or buy them from HD. They make a huge impact on buffeting. As far as going for a smaller bike when you get to your 50's, I am 5'7 and 145 lbs. and still putting the miles down at 67 years old. As of now no plans for me to downside.
@@marka2510 Awesome mate. I need to look into the wind deflectors. I've just recieved a custom Windscreen from Freedom Shields in the US, hopfully that helps too
Absolutely love mine. It's a 2020 and I've already smashed through 3k miles. Best Harley I've ever owned. The only change from here would be for a new one!!

I ride mine almost every day, I love riding it. I don’t like riding it when it’s a very hot day or very heavy city traffic areas because my hand gets tire of squeezing and releasing the clutch. It’s a beautiful bike still.
I ride a Heritage Classic and had thought about the Street Glide as a next step but my 19" screen is a joy for me at 6'2" so I don't' think I will go there. Cheers for a great review.
Cool review, got the exact same bike color and year, still stock, put 13,000 miles on it this year 0 miles when I got it, doing comfort upgrade this winter, safe riding
I had a 2014 Street Glide special, but when I decided to get the 2019 Street Glide I didn't care for the blacked out bike (Street Glide Specials are all blacked out)so I just got the 2019 Street Glide and I absolutely Love the chrome and the newer GTS boom box system. I have the Rinehart Slip ons and the stage 1 air cleaner and tune mine is the 107. I absolutely love the Milwaukee 8 over the twin cam in my old 2014. Thank you for the great video and review, I'm here in the states and love all the views of Australia.

Great review. Very thorough. My issue with some of these bikes...not having owned a HD but I did a two year stint with a huge Yamaha Roadstar...is the weight of the bikes. I found I was exhausted after heaving them around. Still lots of great qualities though. Good work on the review!
Does opening that vent on the front help buffeting? I was just going to buy one of these and then I watched this and it reminded me of my victory magnum the buffeting made me feel sick sore tired and made riding shitty during the ride it was just the buffeting you deal with after the ride you deal with the after affects , the human head is not meant to bobble around like that I'd prefer to just be out in the wind and no buffeting it makes riding much more enjoyable
I am a fan of the street glide after riding one. How do you find the front fairing on a windy day? I agree with you about the sport glide, but the panniers look too small. The rims on the sport glide are the best looking in the Harley range IMHO. Looking forward to more videos about the street glide.
Please review the taller windscreen if/when you get it. Thanks for the great review! Recently got my first bike, a Harley Street Glide, quite intimidating at first but really coming around.

G'day Jay, thanks mate. Unfortunately HD have been dodging me, for some reason they seem to be pulling back on Social Media Content Creators and only using the big profile ones. 😪
@@ThrottleDownunder that sucks. Sometimes the ‘regular’ person likes to see a ‘regular’ real review as they’re often very different. Lots that I follow on social media are those ‘regular’ guys & gals due to the purity and passion on a topic/brand.

I own a 2019 Street Glide Special and kept the engine standard. On my last Harley I went straight to a Stage 1 so I never had a comparison to standard, and I was interested in the difference. The low speed fueling issue you describe is exactly the same on my bike, so I don’t think its your Stage 2. I am actually thinking of putting on a Stage 1 kit just to better tune the fueling across the rev range. You don’t mention which tuner you have on the bike but I could suggest to get a tuning shop to look at the fuel map.
Good to know Peter. Friends with the same bike I ride with seem to have been low speed engine configuration. You are probably right. I could look at tuning
