4:35 it hasn’t doubled every generation. It was like 1% of the population in 2010. Boomers, Xers, and Millenials have turned to same sex attraction in recent years when they weren’t before. The social contagion isn’t limited to Zoomers, it impacts everyone.
I think we are very hypocritical. Paul lists a whole list of things in 1. Cor. 6 9-10 but the church only seems to care about homosexuals, not about idolators, not about adulterors, not the drunkards, at least not in the same fashion and frequency. But the list doesn't make a distinction. Weird
I would say speak for yourself as far as being hypocritical is concerned. This has become such a big issue because of how the outside world has tried to normalize this lifestyle in contrast to the other sins that you have stated. So the church needs to respond against that, so if it weren't for that outside pressure we wouldn't be talking about it that much. All truthful believers I know are equally opposed to all sins, but as I said the world has made it a topical issue with their push to normalize it.
This is an argument from the enemy. The church does care about isolators, adulterers, and drunkards. But the difference is that the world cares about these issues, too. You don’t see massive movements and media pushes to normalize cheating in relationships or being an alcoholic. LGBT is the issue of our time. The reason the church is so harsh against it is that every other outlet is proclaiming it as a virtue. Your average secularist walks into church knowing that drinking and driving is wrong, but also believing that homosexuality is not only not a sin, but something to be proud of.
@bidzam You are seriously implying that drunkenness, idolatry, and adultery haven't been normalized in society today? Just as much as the other thing?
Agreed. Do you think the heavy focus on LGBT from Christians is maybe part noticing the fear of a permanent "thorn" that is far harder to work through than most other sin, plus a natural resistance against cultures overwhelming shift to encourage LGBT lifestyle?

I think he meant the percentage of each generation has doubled

We definitely need more understanding before we keep rushing to judgment of other people on these complicated issues.
Offending Sean with the "in your generation" comment 😅. Oopsie-daisey
