Given the distinction based on your conditioning between your clavicular fibers and your sternal fibers as well as the great separation of your front delts, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I think when you do dips in that manner you are doing a great job of hitting the entire pack and not just the lower portions because the stretch you get in the front doors and the clavicular fibers is very extreme and a stretch under load according to my understanding is the most hypertrophic portion of any movement although there are better choices for upper chest obviously I'm going to say the dip performed with a full range of motion if your anthropometry permits you can do it this way place tremendous stretch on your upper fibers and your front belts under a load if you are doing the dips weighted or if your body weight is pretty heavy this makes for a great overall upper body push exercise it's going to nail your triceps your front delts and your entire pectoral musculature. In addition in addition there's a lot of action in the upper back and also the upper back is not necessarily a prime mover it is playing a role as an antagonist antagonist that's that means a stabilizer

It's almost as if the more clearly I enunciate , the more convoluted the sentences turn out. Some of the words that the software elects to use often lead to absurd sentences with incomprehensible meaning. and the ring dip is the child of the romance between dumbbell benches and dips. The pressure gets even more insane when the muscles have to contract even more to keep yourself stable. I've been unable to do dips, push-ups, or bench pressing for the past two years due to a cyst inside my wrist capsule. The cyst is too close to a nerve, and because of that the surgery to remove it is very risky. My doctor says I need to be patient and wait for it to be absorbed, but I feel like I'm missing out on so many gains. It's frustrating not being able to work out as I'd like to; I can only focus on pull and legs and I'm sick of it. Not being able to do any pushing exercises for two years has really changed the way my body looks, and I'm not happy about it (0 delts, 0 pecs and 0 triceps, they completely vanished...).
It's been so long, and I haven't seen any improvement. Waiting this long is really getting to me.

And pretty much ALL gyms iv ever been inside, has that machine where you squeeze your elbows together on a couple of pads.
And even if you are not in a gym, you can train with bands outside like i do.
You can wrap a band around your wrists and then tie the other end to something low to the ground and raise your arm and get delts trained and same with pecs and tri.
So this is all his own fault (IMO) for lack of imagination.

Cuban press, German hang, skin the cat, etc. If you can bang out 30 good form push-ups in a row, you can return to the dips

When doing dips do you cycle that out with bench? Or keep both in the same training cycle?
