When I send the video to the handbrake app it just shows up as a picture. No video no audio

Whenever I use HandBrake it makes my video smaller but it always deletes my Audio. Any way to fix that?

Good video. There is no need to rename your new encoded video though, just use a different directory or folder and it won't overwrite your original file. I keep a separate folder on my desktop called Handbrake Encoded videos so they aren't mixed up with the originals.

on the other tutorials online here i've seen people inputting a 4 into the references codes option on an 'advanced' tab...me and you do not have this.. what does it mean? on encoder options i have the option to select 'level' which is on 4.. what does this mean?! hep
