I was so tired of paying $200 plus to get my hair blonde and to maintain it at the salons in Vegas. And every time I would be irritated with the hairdresser because it would never come out right. I went on RUclips followed the instructions and bought this product and my hair has never looked better. I’ve been doing my own hair for a year now and I have saved so much money. I balance between this product and the Redkin flash lift with binder. And I use the Redken shades EQ toner. Look at my picture to the left and you will see what it looks like. Thank you for these tips
I am not a professional stylist but im self studied & trained over the past 40yrs , & I use Blonde me at home on my own hair . I love the toners used in the bleach mix & ive always had great results even with 7 volume developer.

I have been a licensed stylist, well, for a very long time and have learned something I don’t remember ever knowing 😉! I remember being taught that the hair in zone 1 processed fastest because it’s closest to the heat of the scalp. No one ever said that it wasn’t fully keratinized but, now that you mention it, it makes perfect sense. Thanks!
I’ve been bleaching my hair with this and a 20 v for a few years and have really struggled with overlapping since it does swell so much and I also double process to lighten which really damages my hair. It never occurred to me to use less then a 20 with this bleach. It makes so much sense I am so excited to learn that I don’t have to risk so much damage to lighten dark hair! Thank you so very much you are so smart!
I do 7 volume all over, that's how amazing this Lightner is. I just bump up to 20 volumes to apply at the ends of the hair after I rinse it out, it makes a whole lot of difference. About the slipping foils, people can make the mixture less runny, this way will stay put and not swell. 👏🏻👏🏻🤗
I have level 10/11 at home bleached hair (I tone with ion colour brilliance toners icy white and snow cap mixed together and it gets me a pure white). Naturally I have level 1-2 dark black hair and recently switched from using wella crème bleach to blondme and let me tell you... it gets me such an even bright root. With the bleach I was using before, I used to have to do 2 sessions of 20 volume (I was too nervous to do 30) to get it to that level 10/11 which was absolutely tedious, since my hair is so thick it would take me 2 whole days to get it done (especially since I do it myself I have to do the back first and rinse it separately from the front), and that’s without toning! Using blondme with 20 volume it gets me evenly to that level in only one session, so I can get the bleach and tone done in only one day. It’s expensive for me but not nearly as expensive as a salon visit, and my hair and waves are fully in tact (with the help of a little olaplex;)). Thank you for this video, it’s helped me so much as I was a bit confused on what to do regarding the swelling. These comments also have helped a lot as well; I’m not a hair stylist but I am very precise with my application being an artist myself, and luckily have never had any problems with breakage or over-processing. The internet can be a wonderful educational place. Thanks again!
I looove blondme and you broke it down and made it so much easier to follow. Thank you for making this video! I can’t wait to try it with my client Wednesday!
I love it too. I’ve used it for a year now and as a consumer with a chemist at home I have found it so easy to work with. Box bleach never again. And the bond quality is amazing.
lol I’m tired of going to salons and have them fight me on bleaching my hair blonde. The one time I did bleach it,it looked better than any salon ever made it look. The problem is most hair stylists are so worried about too much. Does any one know a good blonde stylists in annapolis area?
Currently experimenting with 7vol developer on some virgin hair level 1-2 extensions to see how light they can get on one sitting! :) thank you for the tips!
This is so helpful! I'm a student and recently started working with the blondme and love it but thought I was doing something wrong from the swelling I got. Thank you for the tips because I'm definitely going to try it again.
Hi, thanks for your helpful tips. I am new to blondeme as well. Would you please post a video about using blondeme powder lightener for scalp bleach on natural hair level 2( black)? I like to know tips about using this product for scalp bleach please

This is something that most people don’t understand: The first 1.5 to 2 inches of hair at the scalp is softer because is is NEW HAIR and not fully hardened as well as getting more heat from the scalp this is a Double Whammy when lightening / coloring / perming or relaxing so over - processing and breakage happens.

Can I use 7 VOL on my level 1 roots if I´m trying to go platinum? I usually use the 30 Vol Blondme lightner to bleach my hair, but it tends to swell alot which ends up causing breakage for me. This video was really helpful, thank you for taking the time to make it :)!
You were very informative, clear and precise on the explanation. I have a level 5 roots. Will the 7 volume of any developer work with blondeme? Also with wella blondor my hair turns orange with 20 volume. Then I have to tone it with t18. Do I need to tone with blondeme? And if which toner for ash blonde. Thanks
If you use a different company peroxide it will still work the same as any 7 vol. However, you might run into a problem with consistency. Blondme peroxide is designed to go with the lightener. Since it can get runny I wouldn't stick with the blondme developer. In regards to lifting of the product. Blondme is stronger than Blondor. The amount of lift you get from the product will be affected not just by the lightener but how the lightener is applied. Thin section better lift.
Hello! Congrats for your videos and thanks for the tips! I'm writing from Italy. I never bleached my hair, I usually dye from a level 6 to 7-8 and I usually have good results 'cept for the annoying brass highlights... I'd like to use blondme to reach a level 10. Would you recommend to use a 20 volume or could 7 vol. be enough? Alternatively, would blondme toning with a 7 volume be enough for a lighter blond, without bleaching? Big thanks!
thank you for sharing your experience and expertise, im loving all the learning i’m getting from you videos but they really just make me want to trust a professional with my hair for the first time since i was in high school. it’s been over a decade and i swore never again but if i could find someone like you? hmmmmm
What a lovely video. Thank you for your time and tips. You mentioned that level 6 and up, you use 7 vol with foils. Will this also work for on the scalp root touch up for the all over platinum client or do you advise a higher developer?
With a bleach retouch on level 6 or higher 7 is all you need. I might add a touch of 20 if they are a little darker but I never go to a full 20 volume on a beach retouchp
I’m a natural medium-medium dark brown…can i still use a lower peroxide to lift? I do have some old medium blonde highlights left over but there is still a lot of brown in there. I’m trying to minimize damage but do you think the lower 7 percent peroxide would be enough? Or should I use 20? Thank you SO much i appreciate all your information! Edit to add: I’m just trying for balayage - not completely cover with blonde. If that helps. TY
Thanks for your video! Would blonde me mixed with 7 vol developer take a level 7-8 hair covered in permanent blonde dye to a level 9-10? If so, what ratio of powder to developer would I need to use? I kid you not, this information is nowhere to be found online, and hair colour removers tend to be marketed for removal of dark dyes. I’ve got a healthy but fairly thin curly hair, so I’m afraid of damaging it in the process.
thank you hairdresser has been gone since pandemic. I ordered 20 and 10 developer I have my light ash brown and light brown 5-0 and 5-1 half and half with 20% volume. I have red I want to get rid of and that seems to do the trick. I have the blondeme 9 highlight powder and wasn't sure to use 10% or 20% but sounds like 10% based on what you said. My hair is brown and takes a long time to take the blonde. I have 9-5 1 toner and wasn't sure which toner to use...sounds like 10%
Loved the video! Very helpful. A few months ago, I used the Blondme lightener and the Blondme peroxide 20% to get highlights in my then black hair that had a few inches at the bottom of previous highlights. The issue now is that I’m having a really difficult time maintaining the look I want because I have a lot of grey hairs. I have been covering the greys with black hair dye but I wish I could have the colour I get with the lightener (just a little bit darker than that) all the way to my roots. My hair isn’t too healthy either. Can you please let me know if there is a safe way to do this? I would be most grateful. Thank you. ❤️
I wish I could give you a point in the right direction. But if I don't see the your hair in person it is hard for me to give advice. Blondme is a very strong lightener and can be very powerful on the hair. So you really shouldn't overlap the lightener, it can cause breakage. Black hair color is the most pigmented color in the world so when you color your hair with it. It is VERY DIFFICULT to get out. If you are not a stylist it is a very dangerous to try to fix yourself. I would suggest seeing a stylist who is a hair colorist. She can point you in the right direction.
@@thecuriousstylist8531 thank you so much, what a about a toner to cancel out orange or yellow undertones? Would steel blue and sand be a good combination?
I like this video, your explanations are very clear, thabk you Maureen indeed Blondme9 is sort of tricky tobuse, Thanks for sharing and Saludos desde Mexico! ❤️🇲🇽
Thank for you comment. I decide what toner I will use depending on what the hair tells me. No all hair lifts the same so I adjust to meet the need and desire of my guest
Hi! I have beach blonde hair that I usually get a full highlight foil done at the salon. I bought the blondme premium bond enforcing lightener 9+ and blondme premium developer 6%/20 volume. I am going to attempt to foil my own hair. How much of each should I mix together? About how long should I leave on my roots? Can I just use a purple shampoo after and not toner?
I’m sorry. I can not in good Conscience give you advice in this area. I don’t know what your hair looks like and what your desired result is. Please understand you are taking a risk with doing your own hair.
Hi Maureen! I have jet black hair that for the last few years Iv been getting a full head of icy ashy blond baby lights done on. However even though I was very happy with the results the salon I used to go to closed down and the hairdresser got married and moved away. At this point I have two inches of growth and I have no clue where to go. I loved that the hairdresser used olaplex and I noticed a big difference the one time she tried to use a different bonding agent. When I first got highlights I tried 3 other very well known salons and my hair came out terrible. So this last place was a godsend. Anyhow i see this video you posted and although full head baby Babylights are ideal for me I am not sure how it would be possible for me to highlight the back of my head totally on my own im wondering if I buy the products and totally just do a full single process color if I could do it using the blondme, developer and I buy olaplex to mix it with if i can learn to do my own hair so I never have to deal with what happens if my stylist isn’t working any longer or the salon doesnt have availability. Please advise!!!
I'm not her, but if you are meaning to do it as an all over color vs foils, please don't do that. You'd most likely fry your hair. If you really want to do your own and are gonna try it anyways, I'd at least buy a silicone tip cap where you could pull it through and apply and then wash and reuse the cap .at least that way it would give you some structure BUT I highly do not recommend you doing it like that or at all on your own if you don't have any experience and your natural coloring being so dark, I'd be so afraid of damage,, banding , and cheetah spots honestly. I do hope though it works. Pulling it through a cap would be better I'd imagine than the other. Just my opinion from my experience, not at all giving you a hard way to go just trying to help you.
Very interesting video, thank you! I used Blondme last summer for the first time, I have to say I have mixed emotions about it. First of all, my hairdresser started with a 20 volume, but after 1 hour, the yellow tones were still there, so she quickly applied more fresh bleach to give it the final lift. Seeing that 20 vol was not lifting as much as needed, she used 30 volumes on the last foils. And it swelled and bled. In my opinion, the product is quite good if you can get by with 20vol maximum, but not so great to be used on 30 vol plus foils (except maybe for back combed kind of foils). Since we are in lockdown here since 2 months, and it has been extended for 1 more month, I really can't help touching up some highlights myself. I have a Revlon Blonderful too, which I never tried but was recommended by a hairstylist friend, so I may try that. Do you have any experience with it? Ps: my natural hair is a level 6, but I now have to cover some greys, (bringing them to a 7level),so it's possible that Blondme plus 20vol developer is not enough for this reason.
I use 30 vol with my L’oreal blue lightener on my 4 week and still leaves my regrowth pretty yellow, should I use just 20 vol developer with this bleach then?
Suggestion please? Full head bleach with wella with 20V. Ran out of lightener for roots and I have been wanting to purchase this Swart. Lightener. She’s a natural level 6/7. Could I use this lightener with a lower volume? Will the root and end color be different because it’s different lightener? I really don’t want to buy the wella again.
I am not as Familiar with wells lightener. However, I have been told it is comparable to Vario Extra blond plus. If you are using Blondme. Start with 7 vol and mix with 20 vol. sometimes I’ll mix 1 part 7 to 2 parts 20. If I have to Go up in vol I’ll do half and half. On level 6/7 i would start in the front with 7 vol. I like the low and slow method. It saves the condition of the hair. Blondme is very strong. It is isn’t working for you try mixing 7 and 20 together. It will definitely lift quickly. I would not use 20 volume on ends. It is very strong.
@@thecuriousstylist8531 thank you. Do you think the blondes would come out noticeably different? I am a Cosmetalogists but I don't do hair professionally anymore so I never got to experiment with different lightened but I know they can almost list to a totally different tonal value
I'm a natural level 6-7 and I've been bleaching my roots with blondme 20 volume to achieve a white platinum blonde... now I wonder if 7 might be enough.
It should be if you are not sure mix 1 part 20vol and 2 parts 7vol. Time is your friend with this so you will have to leave it on longer. But it will be gentler
Sow I have brown hair colored I use color. Remover and I gonne bleach my hair with blond me do I need 2 use 20 volume is that good enough I wanne bleach it al and go 7.1
I have very short hair on the sides of my head. After going platinum with BlondeMe, I can see dark roots coming very soon in that area. Is it o.k. to lighten that area more often than the rest of my hair that is longer?
QUESTION Now I understand the ratio for developer & lightener EX: 1:2 When you use the ice ‘blonde me’ toner What does it mean when you use 1:1 Does that mean 30 grams 7 volume developer and 30 grams of toner????? I watched many videos to understand this mixing process lol Or... does that mean you need to use a whole toner tube??
im nervous, i just bought blondme and the girl at sallys said it was ok to use a different brand of creme developer... now im not so sure i should of listened to her... i got a 20vol and 30 vol. creme developer, im a level 9... . Help anyone im nervous dont know if i should do this
That's crazy, you don't even need a 20 vol, and 30 vol just fries the hair - I don't even know why they sell it. 😩 Buy a 5 vol and do a test strand - I highly doubt it won't work, but if it doesn't, 10 vol will do the job.
I just saw your other comment, and now I get why you need a 20 vol, being a level 2-3 is something you should've disclosed here, being a level 9 after having bleached your hair is completely different, you cannot treat virgin and coloured / bleached hair the same way.
You can. However I wouldn’t advise it. They are different techniques to do balayage. This Leitner will swell and that is not good for balayage. I know some of my fellow stylists mix Blondme with their clay lightener. Up to 50%
My roots are dark like yours. Like 6 inches down. The rest is like WHITE! I had a horrible experience at the salon months back.. covid yay so it’s at home bleaching and I’m nervous lol so I’m going to try these products and toner! The powder and the developer. Do you think I should use 20%? Normally they use 30 and 40 In the salon I know wow! Help Please ;) !!!
Personally, I think that the 20% is the safest dev to use for the blondme, or even lower, especially if you aren't a professional.. I'm not a professional, but my sis is, and had always done my highlights in the past, and she's SUPER quick... the way someone with 20 years of experience is.. I did my own highlights all by myself starting a month ago.. It's still not done.. Because a single foil, (back or front takes about 8-12 minutes, (weaving a thin section, making sure the foil is nice and tight, then fully saturating, folding the foil, securing it, etc) and since my hair is level 2, very close to Asian in texture and cuticle, and STUBBORN at lifting past a BLORANGE level brassy 7/8, so normally we'd use 30 or 40 vol and always have to rebleach but try to wait a week or 2 before doing so. But professionals are fast at applying, but applying on YOURSELF is even harder, even for pros, I mean, seriously, it takes me like 6 years to apply the first round of foils, so I did the front, the bottom, and sides all apart from each other... my point being, it's safer to use lower developer, even on super black hair, because it doesnt't dry out, and if you're at home, you can leave it in for longer, get that lift, and still feel pretty healthy hair..
Can I achieve platinum if i currently have a balayage? I have 5 month black roots regrowth and the stylist used brown dye which is incorporated into the balayage. I am thinking of doing this process at home, please give me some advice! :)
Please do not try doing platinum hair at home. It is a very big job. One that a professional is best to handle. It generally takes more than one time and you can lose hair.
Thank you so much for this video , I am going to do my hair this summer with this lightener with the help of my sister , just as you said with very thin sections with foils , but the thing that i am curious about is , will it be a problem if i am Level 3 to 4 natural hair and want to go very platinum , to use 30 Vol. Developer on this brand ?
If you are working with 3/4 level hair. You might want to use mixture of 20 and 7 Vol. MAKE SURE NOT TO OVERLAP. If you have blonde on the ends. Leave this on for at least 45-60 mins. Check on 30. Be careful to not place the lightener to the root leave a little space this lightener will expand.
This might take 2 applications if her hair has a a lot Fay melanin. If you want it lift to a 10. Just remember the tiny sections is the key. totally Translucent thin
Hiya, great tutorial. Im Jules from Glasgow in Scotland. Due to 'lockdown covid restrictions' i am going to attempt my own highlights and tone after. I got the blondme 9% and 7 developer. I got the blondme sand toner for after, what developer strength do i add to the toner???.. can you help? Is that what you mean by double process? Thanks x
You keep saying 7 volume, but all I have is 10 and 20. I used 20 the first time for a sample section since I’d never used the Blondme bf. It lifted very quickly and I did get slight bleeding. I’m probably about a level 6 naturally
@@thecuriousstylist8531 just bought some! I just had a different brand 10 vol is why I asked that. Will you need to leave it on quite a bit longer w the 7 vs the 20? I think left 20 volume on about 40 minutes
Maybe this product is not for me I have short hair and only need root touch ups As you said do not use this product near the scalp I'll stick with my cream bleach washes much safer
so I live in a country where toners are hard to find :( could you suggest for me an alternative to tone hair without toners like using dyes instead and I also have Schwarzkopf royal highlights in shade 10-1 and I have no idea how to use it ? I love your content and thanks in advance💕😊
Thanks so much for your comment. Well I am Very familiar with Schwarzkopf. In the next year I’ll be making videos on toners that I use with that brand. Use my Instagram handle. It’s linked at the top of my RUclips page and I can talk to you about what toners to use if you don’t have access to toners
10-1. Is a highlift color. So it has extra amount of ammonia in it. I do use it as a toner. But the hair Hass to be in pretty good condition to do that. It is a risk. The 9.5 Dash one is a good choice. It is low in ammonia

Is amazon an authorized retailer for this? Can I trust that this isn't a knock off when buying it from there?
I just brought the 7 volume. I didn’t see this one at first. 😊
@@thecuriousstylist8531 thanks for replying so fast. I will use the blondeme 20% developer. How will I tone the orange hair. Kindly reply. Thanks
9.51 or 9.5-22 are good to tone out orange
@@thecuriousstylist8531 thanks a lot will do that.

Big thanks!
Are you a hairstylist? Have you any experience with bleaching hair before? Please message me on my IG account. I can talk more there.
thank you for sharing your experience and expertise, im loving all the learning i’m getting from you videos but they really just make me want to trust a professional with my hair for the first time since i was in high school. it’s been over a decade and i swore never again but if i could find someone like you? hmmmmm
Wow, thank you for your kind words! They really touched my heart🥰!
Do you have any tips for bleaching root regrowth?
I have video in my playlist with a girl that has purple hair. I go over how to do a double process retouch in that one. ;)
@@thecuriousstylist8531 what about scalp bleach application for very dark hair(level 2), while the end goal is platinum blonde ?
Will the blonde me lightener mixed with the matching developer in 7 vol lighten my half inch black roots in 1 round the rest of my hair is blonde
Thank you!!!
I have 9-5 1 toner and wasn't sure which toner to use...sounds like 10%
Great video I learnt a lot!
Thank you!!
Do you use a bonder in your lightener for added protection to the hair?
What developer strength would you recommend using for a dark brown hair going blonde?
20-30 vol if in foils. If on scalp half 7 vol and 20 vol. it really depends on how dark your hair is.
@@thecuriousstylist8531 thank you so much, what a about a toner to cancel out orange or yellow undertones? Would steel blue and sand be a good combination?
Thank you !

I love this info! Great info! What kind of toner do you use with this blonde me? I plan to use it as a highlight. Thanks!

What volume would you use on level 3 for carmal highlights

I have dark brown hair and I bought the 30 volume
I guess I’ll just have to cut my time in half so my hair don’t fall out 😟
Ps: my natural hair is a level 6, but I now have to cover some greys, (bringing them to a 7level),so it's possible that Blondme plus 20vol developer is not enough for this reason.
please contact me on my IG I can chat more there

Can this Schwarzkopf blonde me bleach be used with any developer brand?!
I use 30 vol with my L’oreal blue lightener on my 4 week and still leaves my regrowth pretty yellow, should I use just 20 vol developer with this bleach then?
What are you using the lightener for ?
@@thecuriousstylist8531 on my 4-week regrowth (root), for my platinum hair
@@alainllamas1161 If this is a double process. Use 7 vol. but a cap on it. 20 might be too powerful on the previously lightened hair.
I’m level 7-8 natural hair what column should I use for my regrowth?!
Is blondme better than wela blondor?
I am planning to bleach my hair at home.i hope you will notice my comment.thankyou💓
It depends. If you mean for lifting power. Blondme is stronger. Blonder is a very nice lightener is doesn’t slip like Blondme does.
@@thecuriousstylist8531 oh thankyou maam.I have a very black hair.I am from PH :)
Can I use this with my 6.9% activating gel to lift do you think?
You need top use the blondeme oil dev that goes with the lightener..
So 20vol would be enough for black hair?
I will do a video on toners
@@thecuriousstylist8531 that will be great. Thank God my color theory is pretty good so toners are no issue. Hopefully it benefits others :)
P.s. hope your all safe n well x
Remover and I gonne bleach my hair with blond me do I need 2 use 20 volume is that good enough I wanne bleach it al and go 7.1
Sorry I can't really give advice without seeing the hair.
I bought 30 volume for my hair but it has been dyed multiple dark colours before will this be okay?
I have very short hair on the sides of my head. After going platinum with BlondeMe, I can see dark roots coming very soon in that area. Is it o.k. to lighten that area more often than the rest of my hair that is longer?
Hi
If your regrowth is a level 2 (a big regrowth)
But you a level 9 on you ends. Will a 7 volume work to get me close to a level 9
gurl noooo
I’m a student , where can I buy this?
Cosomprof is a good place to start.
QUESTION
Now I understand the ratio for developer & lightener EX: 1:2
When you use the ice ‘blonde me’ toner
What does it mean when you use 1:1
Does that mean 30 grams 7 volume developer and 30 grams of toner?????
I watched many videos to understand this mixing process lol
Or... does that mean you need to use a whole toner tube??
There is 55grams in a tube. Toning can vary. The manufacturer calls for 1:1. So yes 30grams of 7 vol to 30 grams of toner.
im nervous, i just bought blondme and the girl at sallys said it was ok to use a different brand of creme developer... now im not so sure i should of listened to her... i got a 20vol and 30 vol. creme developer, im a level 9...
Can you use this with free hand balayage?
You can. However I wouldn’t advise it. They are different techniques to do balayage. This Leitner will swell and that is not good for balayage. I know some of my fellow stylists mix Blondme with their clay lightener. Up to 50%
Cam I use any 20 vol developer with blonde me?
My roots are dark like yours. Like 6 inches down. The rest is like WHITE! I had a horrible experience at the salon months back.. covid yay so it’s at home bleaching and I’m nervous lol so I’m going to try these products and toner! The powder and the developer. Do you think I should use 20%? Normally they use 30 and 40
In the salon I know wow! Help
Please ;) !!!
Thank you Lila for tackling this question.

You keep saying 7 volume, but all I have is 10 and 20. I used 20 the first time for a sample section since I’d never used the Blondme bf. It lifted very quickly and I did get slight bleeding. I’m probably about a level 6 naturally
Also does it have to be that brand? I only have 20 volume in the blondeme developer. Thanks!

do you use their color as well?
I have used Blondme toners. I will be trying the new formula tomorrow for the first time. I’ll post to my IG in the stories.
so I live in a country where toners are hard to find :( could you suggest for me an alternative to tone hair without toners like using dyes instead and I also have Schwarzkopf royal highlights in shade 10-1 and I have no idea how to use it ?
Do you have to use foil ?
Foils act like a heat Conducted for the hair. You don’t have to use them. But it does help to lift better.
