Just stumbled upon this on YT. I'm very proud to have recently discovered (2021) that my "De Carteret Family" were one of the founding families in Guernsey and can be traced all the way back to the year 823. My elders (many times G,,,, GrandFathers) served as humble servants/ advisors to Royalty of their day. ((I wonder if you are related to my Uncle: Peter Le Gallez?))
I was fortunate enough to have visited in 2019. My grandmother was born on Alderney, the family moved to St. Peter Port, when she was an infant, then came to America on RMS Olympic
This historical case study shows that any local government theoretically has the power to issue its own currency without incurring interest or debt or being made dependent on Private Finance Initiatives that burden future generations.”
