@Cameron Yinger Run every morning. The more you run the more you will adapt to running and the easier it will be to run. There is no secret to it. Try to get your miles up to the more miles the better.
It’s not a big deal if you get dropped honestly (career wise). It’s just the fact that you should want to leave bootcamp ASAP. I got dropped due to an ankle injury (Cellulitis+Severe ankle sprain) and ended up graduating a month later than I was supposed to. Finally here at mos school and I’m picking up classes with people that I had in my original company. At the end of the day it’s not the end of the world if you get dropped, just being in MRP/PCP sucks.
Sebastian Clarke wow, same thing here - started out with a stiff ankle, reddish, worked thru it, but couldn’t drill worth a shit, DIs were over my ass. Running was extremely painful, pressed on. About a week later as it kept swelling, looked like a red baseball on my ankle, couldn’t get my boot on so have to report it. Cellulitis, Over to sick bay to soak it, they strapped me down and proceeded to squeeze it between two fists. Pain is an understatement. No/light duty for a week, then demoralizing to get sent down a month. That was 35 years ago. Wished I stayed in, best time of my life even though I was miserable at the time.
@@simeon_kurosky If you don't mind my asking, what is your MOS? Also, when it comes to packing for basic, I believe that less is more. Could you do a video on the subject? Thanks...😊
M Coleman 6500 aviation ordnance. And when it comes to what to bring to bootcamp. They didn’t let us leave MEPS with our phone. Literally just had my social security card, ID, and $20 cash I believe and my bible. Less is better.
@@simeon_kurosky Aviation ordnance... blessed are the hands that are not idle. Since you didn't take a toiletry kit with you, I am guessing that you took care of those needs shortly after arriving. No phone? Ouch...I am gradually getting how different from the other branches the Marine Corps is. Big respect 👊
This is cool there young Marine ... I enjoy watching these videos to see just how much our Corps has changed, yet remains the same. The training I'll say is much better than it was in '81, however, the culture remains the same. I got out in 6/91, just before that was the talk about creating the crucible, also what's now known as MCMAP, and splitting out ITR (part of our 2nd phase) into what we joked about being 4th phase (today's MCT).
My first day at MCRD was Oct. 1, 1981. My father passed in 2nd phase, and I went home. I started in Plt. 2084 and graduated with Plt. 3090. Leaving Bootcamp in the middle for 2 weeks and then going back was challenging. I was a squad leader when I left and was again at graduation. Senior DI SSgt Deiz was the greatest DI I could have asked for. He taught me how to channel my loss into strength. Semper Fi.
@@MrMarkRoads Rah! I was a few months ahead of ya, I got to MCRD SD early June and graduated Sept 11, 1981 Plt 2047, 2nd Bn, Fox Co! Not a second goes by that I don't miss my 10 years in!
Simeon, great job with this video. Congrats on your 5 months accomplishment in the Marines. Always take it one day at a time. Just a quick suggestion to help you increase your viewing numbers. Make videos of you working out, exercising, weight lifting, and with fellow Marines. Semper-Fi
I didn’t even know there was medical when I was at MCRD San Diego. I sucked it up with injuries. The only thing I knew was that they had dental. They don’t lie? I lied when I we interviewed with our company commander. He asked me if I was ever physically/Verbally abused while in boot camp. I answered no but in reality I was punched in the chest by my SDI talking after we had a bad uniform inspection. My advice is lie if asked that same question. The entire depot will know you snitched before you get back to your rack. I know they say that DIs can’t abuse you but we all know it happens. It just part of the “game”. Semper Fi !
daniel Yes, and was my SDI who did it. We were in formation and after each recruit was finished being inspected they were told to return to barracks. I was on third squad and I guess we were found bad. When I entered it was silent. I whispered to my bunk mate and asked him what are we suppose to be doing. My SDI heard me and called me up front to his office and punched me square on the sternum. It’s part of the game. Don’t sweat it. Makes you tougher.
daniel it was the one of the scariest time of my life but i wouldn’t trade it for the world. Truly a great experience, a character builder and a life long brotherhood.
From my experience most people get dropped from injuries or failing the pft, cft, or ist. But even then, the marine corps will give you many opportunities to graduate, and they will make sure you will graduate if you have the motivation
About halfway through 2nd Phase we gained a recruit who had apparently been in a hold platoon for about 6 months or so healing from a fracture. He seemed so locked on and squared away that we thought that he was a Marine who was sent through Recruit Training again to motivate us or something. He was instantly put in the Guide position as a recruit who lead the platoon The DI’s treated him with respect too. This further fueled our theory.
Interesting information. I'm proud of your attitude. I went through MCRD in Jan of 68'. Honestly Simeon, the only time I can recall any kind of laugh or even a smile was when we would be at drill and repeat a phrase spoken from our DI making fun of another Platoon as we marched by them. And of course, I'd do it all over again today!
SOI is boot camp phase 4, the fleet infantry until you re-enlist is boot camp phase 5. After that, you’ve proved yourself worthy and will be in charge of a team or squad. Maybe 90% of people will get out after 4 years because they didn’t adjust to the Marine Corps lifestyle.
This helps a lot, I've been feeling overwhelmed and stressed and kept thinking I was going to drop because I sucked. Not saying I'm gonna give up, far from it, I just feel like I might do something wrong or be called out for something I've been trying to avoid, etc. I'm weak ;-;
When you get to your first duty station, make sure that your leaders know that you are interested in making rank. You can do this by saying something like, “I anxious to learn as much as possible about my job as fast as possible, because I’m very interested in making rank, because I’d like to make the Corps a career”. Why should you want to make rank quickly? Not just because of the pay, but because once you make Corporal, your life becomes easier, you receive. a title (no longer will you be addressed just byyour last name, but now your will be addressed by all by the title. Corporal and then your last name, and you will no longer be put on shit details. You will also receive respect for the first time. People, high and low will see you as a responsible individual, someone trustworthy, and reliable.
I was placed in 1st ANGLICO (Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Co) at Camp Pendleton. This unit was under the same parent unit as Force Recon. There were seats in many schools out there. I can say this as I got out 23 years ago, but volunteer to go to as many schools and take as much training as you can. Learn as much as you can and do what you can while your young and have the opportunity. Once that chance goes by, you may not ever get that chance again. This includes re-enlistment. Once you go through enough training, for the most part, you’ll want to remain a part of the Brotherhood. Semper Fi
I got dropped for a severe cough that wouldn’t go away. Something similar to what ppl get cause of corona except this was in 2017. Something tells me it was the linen. I didn’t cough or nothing until we got into bed and I had to deal with those sheets. They so dirty n old. I know it was the sheets. I wanna go back so bad the training was intense. I loved every minute of it, I never felt more alive getting screamed at by DI’s. What worries e now is the cough coming back.
Many years ago, while in MCRD in San Diego, I ended up getting injured. No need in going into details as how, but the injury was a gash bone deep on my lower leg. After getting stitched up (14 stitches), I was given 72 hrs. no duty. But I knew if I missed 48 hrs., I would get dropped. So the next day, I was out there running with everyone else. Due to that, I ended up continually pulling stitches loose. I had to repeatedly go back to medical to be restitched. Although I made repeated trips to medical for over almost two weeks, my Platoon Commander respected my efforts to not slack off due to my injury. A different Platoon Commander would have considered me to be a "sick bay commando", but he considered me to be a "good Marine". Myself, I just didn't want boot camp to last any longer than it had to be and would have done just about anything to keep from being dropped. Of the 70+ recruits that started out in my platoon, only 32 graduated together. The rest either got discharges or got dropped. At the time, that was about average. About 1/2 would not make it straight through, start to finish, with their original platoon. (U.S. Marines 70-76)
I thank you too much, I'm 16 years old, I'm barely start my junior year at high school, and when I graduate from high school on 2024, I want to become a marine, I've been sleeping late going through too much tips videos and that kind of stuff to know what is it like to go boot camp and that stuff you know. I appreciate that so much!!
One thing I say about knowledge exams you will be fine as long you try for example I’m very bad at test taking but you inform your senior drill instructor about these problems and they will help you study the shit out for test. For starters when I was on hour of fire watch there was the actual test printed where you can actually see the questions and correct answer. I didn’t know one person in boot camp who failed academic
I worked very hard on pushups, and pull ups (palms forward pulls up - the Marine Corps kind) before boot camp. During our.first PFT test two days after arrival, I score high enough in those areas to pass the final PFT requirement. What I did not practice, very reqreatably was squat thrust. Thus during our firstPFT test I was unable to complete one sin a satisfactorily manner, thus my score was zero. I just could not do th em correctly. During th e next 13 weeks of boot camp, we did scores of them a day, until we all became experts, but I suffered like hell, with tears running down my cheeks. Buy the end of boot camp, I was able to pass the test in this area, but I wouldn’t wantanyone to suffer like I did. Remember, it not how many of anything you can do. It’s how many correct repititions you can do. How many Marine Corps standard you can complete. Thus do not cheat when practicing those push ups, or whatever. Go ALL the way down, before pushing yourself up. (By the. Way, I don’t know if Squat thrusts are still done in boot camp.

Being a student in the marine corps sucks, The fastest way out of bootcamp is graduation. Tell your buddies when you get their to help them through bootcamp
Basic training is about how willing you are to filter through the BS so as to learn what they can teach you. The price of admission is not cheap or easy. The rewards stay with you for life.
@@mcoleman6834 Just make sure you mind your manners and leave with an honorable discharge. As a senior I can attest that the benefits will go with you for a lifetime.
I was in Platoon 3050 at MCRD San Diego from May to August, 1983. I wrestled varsity for three years in high school and was in great shape. Since I was 17 years old, I was used to having "grownups" yell at me, lol. I grew up shooting firearms and was the platoon high shooter with the M16A1.
Dude honestly as soon as u hit the fleet its like a 9 to 5 depending on ur mos if ur a POG ur chillin. Ive been in the fleet for a year and it’s honestly not that bad you get treated like an actual human im about to pick up corporal and its been pretty cool
Shit did you already graduate from MCT?! I thought you left like yesterday! That flew by. Well congratulations! Hope you enjoy the schoolhouse more than I did. Also, once you finally get to the fleet, things get a lot better. At least in my experience, we were still kind of treated like kids in the schoolhouse. (having to be back in formation by strict times, insane field day inspections etc.) but like I said, it'll all be worth it when you graduate and go to your first unit. Good luck
kricket 53 haha as far as the school house doesn’t sound like much changes. We currently have all that 😂 love the instructors tho. Amazing leaders that I’m glad I’m here. And yeah MCT flewww by
When I was in MCT last year it was so easy. I never felt injured or weak. One day during Libo we where playing basketball. I loved playing in high school. This was during the last 2 weeks of MCT. I crossed this kid so bad, I caused him to fracture his ankle. He wasn’t able to get up with out assistance. I felt so bad I thought he would heal in time of completion of the training. I was wrong he had been at medical and still hasn’t complete the training that is only a month long. This happened in November and his still there.
This is great information! You should do a video on general orders and the types of studies that are considered the most important so we can study before we ship off.
Simeon Kurosky more than enjoying, learning brother! I’m enlisting in a years time. Trying to decide wether I should finish my last year of college or try to finish it while enlisted.
Can you make a video on like boots and stuff for all the ruck marches, like how to break your boots in fast, best boots to use for ruck marches, and how not to get blisters and hotspots, what kinda socks to use etc.?
Clmpi buy boots that fit well your toes should be able to wiggle around freely all mc boots will work I recommend you don’t buy danners reckonings I have Bates lites and I like them a lot. Use mole skin correctly along w foot powder and I use fox river boot socks they work pretty well. And when you stop for breaks during hikes be carefully sitting down and taking all the pressure off your feet because they will most likely swell up.
go to bootcamp prepared physically as possible. i went to parris island. bootcamp is 80% mental and 20% physical , but the physical is a summabitch. if you get dropped, they will recycle you where you got dropped and make you do it again. i was in shape going into bootcamp and i had to eat double rations at chow because they thought i was malingering myself, but i was physically sound at pt. had the highest marine corps. crunches in the platoon. we double timed everywhere we went and we were in black flag weather. do what you're told, do it in a expedient manner, keep it tight, and have a positive mental attitude and you will get the title. semper fi 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

If you get dropped you get remediated. If you have heart then youll stick it out, graduate, and do good things just like any other Marine. Now if you quit, then you definitely won't graduate.
I got dropped at Paris Island I was only in STC for about 3 weeks it sucked but I got stronger in the long run I just now got done with MCT and am going to Pensacola the 26th for MOS school. Bootcamp is not really that hard you just have to keep your head up.
Biggest piece of advice! Stay away from medical! I enlisted in 2015, made it 2 weeks before graduating boot camp and got dropped to medical where I spent an additional 7 weeks recovering from injury. Then I actually ended up getting sent home due to the injury. So... unless you are really really hurt avoid medical.
nope, avoiding medical is exactly how you get really really bad. I went multiple times and didn't get dropped then these dumb boys tried not to go to medical because they wanted to pretend to be thougher than they were and ended up not just dropped but sent home
@Tom Price A stress fracture can keep you there quite a long time if you let it get too bad. A friend of mine spent 11 months in boot camp total. She got dropped twice and every time, it was a few months. She was also very close to get dropped in MCT because she refused to talk to the sgt about feeling light headed and then she fainted that same night. luckily, I told another female friend to look after her during that night since I am a male, I wasn't able to be with her. She had a bad fever and other things going on. Imagine that no one paid attention to her and just let her as she was thinking she was just asleep instead of passed out.
When I was in bootcamp no matter what a recruit would do to stay under the radar, he would eventually get targeted. There’s no escaping the drill instructors. You forgot one never scratch your face if you’re getting stung by bees just deal with it. I used to get punished in the sandpit a lot for scratching my face lol
My kill hat tried dropping every chance he got, had me in the sand every single day. Just kept pushing through and I never got dropped. Just be mentally strong and it should be fine. I was only 120 lbs when I got in
No, sometimes you can make no mistake and still get dropped. I contracted bronchitis (for the first time in my life) and needed a month to recover. Scared the daylights out of me when I tried to run and ended up dead last and collapsed on the tarmac.
Another Marine Corps RUclipsr suggested to study in a lot of that stuff before so you don’t have a harder time in boot camp and your drill instructors are biting your ass so to speak so just anyone that’s in here that plans on going in the military marine core in particular I would suggest doing that as well I’m not in yet but I’m still working on the process I’m waiting for my recruiter to get back a hold of me my process is gonna be probably really freaking long
I agree never give up…seen a fat recruit running with blood down his legs because of the chafing. He was crying but never gave up. After awhile you could see the DI’s pulling for him.
Marine Corps Basic Training “Boot Camp” can be as hard as you allow it to be. Amazingly, it (and the military as a whole) can be as hard as you make it out to be. Yes, it was the worst time in my young life that I ever spent but it wasn’t as hard as I “expected” it to be. As he said, if you’re not shooting for a leadership role, stay below the DI’s radar. Don’t give them a reason… Boot Camp is intended and does break you down to your lowest level possible in order to build you back up as a complete person. It does that and does it well. The DI’s job is to ensure this takes place. That’s their job. Overall, they WANT you yo make it. Again, don’t give them a reason. They will carry out the job of weeding out non-hackers. We started with 80 some odd recruits and graduated 65 or so. I actually burned myself in Mess & Maintenance Week but didn’t report it for fear of being recycled. When my platoon was dismissed upon graduation it felt like a huge load was lifted off my shoulders. I’m not trying to be a naysayer but just trying to explain how it was for me in Boot Camp. How bad do you want to be in the Corps? Again, as he said, all you have to do is don’t get kicked out and you’ll make it and it’s more than worth it.
Pretty hard now dealing with the fact i got dropped and discharged for fraudulent enlistment when i opened my mouth at the moment of truth... didn’t even get passed receiving which was really an embarrassment. I was just a shitbag in RSP. At the end of the day, i support everyone serving in the military and whatever they do for this country.
1967 - can not swim forward but passed "drown proofing" and 1 mile test - how you ask? Simple - lay on back float and swim backward - less energy / strain.Tip: DO NOT PARTY night before leaving.
Most drops weren't drops at all but usually just the "threat" of being dropped. Graduated, dropped either way, nobody was going home and everybody was going to Vietnam!
Going to boot camp in bad shape? I didn’t know that was even an option! My recruiter said I have to pass the IST here in my hometown before he’ll even send me down to Parris island!
Good afternoon devil! Good looking out at the upcoming prospects about to leave to take on the challenge to become a United States marine. The biggest thing I remember is when we all got there for the first month everyone was sick. "Buddy buddy you ok" lol( writing this as watching to give you feedback) we had a recruit stealing penutbutter from chow hall. To keep the target off me I made sure I wasn't the last one for anything but the automatic target for me was my portholes, had di cover me in spit every chance he got lol. But good video marine rah! kill! -Lcp Helmick 2141 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, Company B
They had a recruit at Kilo Company when I was a DI that choked out the fire watch with his duty belt. They busted him down by taking his PFC guarentee away and sent him to our company for another two weeks. I told the Senior make him a squad leader. No one fucked with this kid he did good and graduated with us.
Mothy Organ This was 7 years ago but I remember being in In the very last push right before graduation week and the entire Edson Range area had to be searched in the middle of the night cause some kid in my platoon shot himself in the shower with a round he stole from the live fire training we did
Bad shake down. We fucked recruits up on shakedowns and then we did another one back at the barracks whrn they got there. Talk about recruits with puckered up assholes not one round made it to the squadbay. We had two when I was a recruit that ran out to make phone calls. That wasnt good brcause yes they got caught. One tried to make a break for it and PMO caught his ass. He tried to fight the PMO officer. He showed up in the barracks hogtied and busted up pretty good. SDI had him pack his shit abd they dropped him back to first phase. I dont know legally what they did but our DIs sure made an example out of him. I stuck with the program and graduated. The other two guys making phone calls got their come uppance from the DIs but were allowed to stay with us. We took the range so SDI let us make phine calls. You can guess which two werent allowed though.
I’m 225lbs need to be 191lbs to pass MEPs my main goal is 170lbs- 180lbs before boot camp I’m already hitting the bare minimum even with the extra weight on as soon as it comes off I fly
What he doesn’t not mention is why you do not want to be dropped from you Platoon in boot camp. The reason is is because boot camp is hell! YEvery single day is hell. You will want to get out of there as fast as you possibly can. In fact, you will be desperate to get out of there, and you will pray Eve Ryan night that you will not be dropped to another platoon behind your own to undergo the training again. We had a guy that was so physically weak that he was dropped from his platoon to our s. We were the third platoon he had been dropped back to,. He made some physical progress ss in our. plattonbut still failed the final PT test, and dropped back from our platoon to the one behind ours. He cried bitterly, and not one of us blamed him, because we w outdoor have also. It was our worse nightmare.
Thanks for all your advice, I’m nervous about bootcamp , can u make a video doing a set of workouts that u think would make us a little more ready for boot camp ?

I really don't know how the heck I'll be able to prepare for that. Is there any website's or things I can do to prepare for that portion?

Being in MRP sucks. I was there with stress fractures. Talk about a depressing place.
Success in basic training, in every branch, comes down to two words: preparation and response. You are absolutely right about the pull-ups.
M Coleman both of those words sum it up pretty well ✊🏻
@@simeon_kurosky If you don't mind my asking, what is your MOS?

Everyone’s probably calling u a boot but u seem like a down to earth guy, thanks for the information!!!
Yes, you present yourself as a Lance Corporal that has been in for quite a while. You present no evidence of being a “Boot”. Even the haircut rocks!
Semper Fi !
What the fuck?
Wait did the DI really punch you say on god
daniel Yes, and was my SDI who did it. Makes you tougher.
carlos diaz crazy man I always thought they weren’t allowed to do that but whatever , thank you for your service
daniel it was the one of the scariest time of my life but i wouldn’t trade it for the world. Truly a great experience, a character builder and a life long brotherhood.

Jerry Foreman thank you Jerry ✊🏻
Boot camp dropouts
That recruit even graduated as a Lance Corporal.
Boot camp was the easy part man. Wait until you get the shaft in the fleet.
Spittin’
SOI is boot camp phase 4, the fleet infantry until you re-enlist is boot camp phase 5. After that, you’ve proved yourself worthy and will be in charge of a team or squad. Maybe 90% of people will get out after 4 years because they didn’t adjust to the Marine Corps lifestyle.
Awww yes! The “big green weeny”. Good times
You know everyone says that, I’m genuinely curious. How is it harder? Not being a sarcastic asshole.
Why do people say this? I hear it all the time. Don't u just go to ur MOS & start training? Or is it just PT, PT, PT, non stop all the time?
I'm joining Navy but have been watching a lot of videos just about any boot camp and really like how you break it down. Good content!
This helps a lot, I've been feeling overwhelmed and stressed and kept thinking I was going to drop because I sucked. Not saying I'm gonna give up, far from it, I just feel like I might do something wrong or be called out for something I've been trying to avoid, etc. I'm weak ;-;

Yep, legit not getting dropped and graduation was the easiest thing. Following directions and you get guaranteed success.
You should make a video on why you joined the marines vs other branches
Isaiah Williams good idea brother. That one will be coming later 🙂
Umm, because I didn't know any better? Truth be told, because the Navy recruiter didn't show up that day.
Great video mate keep up the good work! Sit down videos work well on my channel so don't think its a bad thing!

Being a student in the marine corps sucks,
The fastest way out of bootcamp is graduation. Tell your buddies when you get their to help them through bootcamp
You have watched a lot of videos in order to comment on this. Congratulations student.
@@krane15 Of course, it takes a senior NCO to get my point. Thank you for listening, boss.
I graduated PI in '78. The worst fear was being set back. Once you get past the mental torture of Receiving, it's all cake if you are in shape.

Brody Crawford that’s unfortunate sorry to hear that brother. It happens a lot in bootcamp unfortunately
nope, avoiding medical is exactly how you get really really bad. I went multiple times and didn't get dropped then these dumb boys tried not to go to medical because they wanted to pretend to be thougher than they were and ended up not just dropped but sent home
Leonel Cabrera Herrera yeah if it’s very serious would be dumb to not address
Dumbest advice I have ever heard. You obviously weren't in when shit was going down nor listened to your seniors. Congratulations.
I was only 120 lbs when I got in
Jose De Jesus Corona exactly brother ✊🏻
No, sometimes you can make no mistake and still get dropped. I contracted bronchitis (for the first time in my life) and needed a month to recover. Scared the daylights out of me when I tried to run and ended up dead last and collapsed on the tarmac.
Krane well obviously that’s different 😂 you got sick, it happens.
I weigh 120 pounds and I’m going to bootcamp in December
I weigh 130
I'm pretty sure we were in Bravo together. I was in 1018, but got dropped to MRP and was on PI for over 5 months.
Again, as he said, all you have to do is don’t get kicked out and you’ll make it and it’s more than worth it.
thank you for this advice your channel has been a amazing help i’m planning on enlisting right out of highschool.
We got another Nava here boys.

Most drops weren't drops at all but usually just the "threat" of being dropped. Graduated, dropped either way, nobody was going home and everybody was going to Vietnam!
BE IN SHAPE, DON'T GET HURT!!!!
Going to boot camp in bad shape? I didn’t know that was even an option! My recruiter said I have to pass the IST here in my hometown before he’ll even send me down to Parris island!
You can still be out of shape and passing the IST. My first ist, I walked on the run at least 4 times and I still passed with a 13:20
The IST is honestly pretty easy, and you can pass it without being generally fit. What would mess most people up is the run rather than the exercise.
Do what you're told. Saved you all 13 minutes.
Look at your contract. If you were supposed to be pfc don't leave until you get it in writing that you'll be a pfc or see e-2 on ur contract.
Thank you 🙏. This has been very informative.

Keep pushing, you got this
How’s it going now?
It was our worse nightmare.
it is pushing 34 years since i went to MCRDSD. rough memories and good ones too. the best day was GRADUATION and on to SOI

Oh man, I'm mostly scared for the ASVAB test/other tests since I never did very well in high school. I take a lot longer to learn things and have to repeat to myself what I've learned so that I know it for sure -- but once I do I always make sure to try my best. I really don't know how the heck I'll be able to prepare for that. Is there any website's or things I can do to prepare for that portion?
Simeon, Congrats great video and explaining topic. I have two friends from Michigan. There with your group, Jackson Michigan.
Marine Boot Camp is easy. Just pay attention, do what you’re told, and run fast.
Boot camp is the easiest thing you will do in the USMC.
I entered MCRDSD 09/01/1971. Spent 15 years in the Corps. 1 tour of duty in Viet Nam.
What you guys go through nowadays is easy.
The DIs don't pound on you like they did when I went through.
For those who have the guts to make it through "Semper Fi".
I disagree sir Treadway. I enlisted last year and the Crucible was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my entire life.
Okay Devil Dog, if I can share or add a positive note I highly encourage you too "square away your USMC logo on your sight it is NOT parallel to the deck, bottom line the Eagle shoot be straight.
