    Just like your setup, this is enormously helpful! We didn’t learn to turn off the fuses when we had the walk through, for instance, so that’s a must know! I can’t thank you enough for doing these setup and breakdown videos! Having the identical trailer, you made things SO much easier for us! Thank you SO MUCH! I watched your funny short vids today - you two are a riot! 😁

    Very nice detailed tear down and stuff. Makes me appreciate that we don't have any tanks to dump! 🤣Just our portable gray tank and Jessie dumps it when we get home and then bleaches it all out. Has worked out great. Generally on tear down, I will put away things the night before that we don't really need the next morning. Coffee pot is like the last thing to go in LOL. I used to have it securely attached before the remodel. Now it's free moving so has to be tucked away. So it and all the rest gets put up before take off. I think the very last thing I always put away is Darbi's dishes. As for outside, Jessie puts up the levelers, hooks us to the truck, removes the chocks and unplugs and away we go. I've not actually timed it, but I'd say about 20 minutes. Pretty much like our set up.

      "Coffee pot is like the last thing to go in" rose does the same thing I tried to put it away early one time and I was put in my place LOL, thank you for sharing your procedure and thank you for commenting

    This was really helpful. It does not seem as daunting as I imagined. I am downsizing from a home to a travel trailer..so this is all new to me. This was very helpful. Thank you both! Ps...I'm a new subscriber so looking forward to your video's! Take care!

      We have all been there where we have absolutely no idea how to handle the black and Gray tanks, we are just like you we checked out several videos but nothing compares to doing it yourself for the first time realizing it's not as bad as you thought it was, we really appreciate you subscribing and we look forward to hearing about your adventures also

      Hello Ula, hopefully your phone cord didn't break anything, I've not got anything caught underneath the slide out but I have almost broken a drawer and the slide out trim one time, is no fun fixing them and hopefully that was the last time, hope you're doing well and thank you very much for commenting

    Some folks recommend putting some water back into the black tank to keep any residue from hardening. What are your thoughts on that? Thank you for these great videos….we are first timers and a little nervous about our first trip next week. 😊

    • @RVFieldTrip
      @RVFieldTrip  Год назад +1

      Yes I've heard of people leaving some water in the black tank as well, every now and again i will put a little bit of water back in myself probably like a gallon or two but to be honest most of the time I do not, and I've never had any problems, LOL I remember our first time taking the RV out yes I was nervous as well but after the first setup I realized there was nothing to be nervous about, just take your time don't try to rush it and it will work out just fine for you guys, we wish you guys good luck next week, please let us know how it goes and your feelings on it, also thank you for subscribing and commenting we look forward to hearing from you again

    Newbie here..havent used a dump station yet. So you dont rinse black tank after you dump at all? We have a black tank flush, is okay to use it at a dump station? If not when and where do rinse it out?

    • @RVFieldTrip
      @RVFieldTrip  5 месяцев назад +1

      If there's a long line at the dump station I don't rinse it out just the next time we're at a dump station I will rinse it out, we just try to be courteous two other RVers, hope this help good luck and let us know how it goes

    How long would you estimate it takes you to break camp and be on the road?

    • @RVFieldTrip
      @RVFieldTrip  Год назад +1

      If we have to use the dump station I'd say it's around 35 to 45 minutes to break camp and be on the road, as long as there's not a line at the dump station, if the campsite has full hookups I'd say less than 30 minutes to be on the road, hope this helps, and thanks again for commenting look forward to talking to you again

    If your black tank isn’t 2/3 full do you just flush the toilet until it is?

    • @RVFieldTrip
      @RVFieldTrip  Год назад +1

      For our Gray tanks yes, but for the black tank we use the inlet on the outside of the RV to fill the black tank. If I didn't have an outlet then yes that's the way I would do it I would fill it from the toilet, I normally try to get black tank at least 2/3 the way full if not just a little bit more to get a good flush, hope this helps
