- 2019 marks 20th year since Aaron Hadlow first flew a kite. We took this milestone as a challenge to document the best action and the journey through his favorite disciplines in kiteboarding. For this reason Aaron teamed up with filmmaker Laci Kobulsky traveling to multiple locations, meeting up with his friends and finding the best conditions in order to deliver you this full-length kiteboarding movie - TWENTY. #AaronHadlow #AaronHadlow20

For me kitesurfing has the most outstanding role models of any sport, Aaron is without doubt the greatest all round kitesurfer to date. Together with Lew, Ruben,Kevin and many more all display a passion,humility and stoke that is unrivalled any where else.
Aaron's story just reminds me the good intentions that I had with my son, he s a talented a gifted young athlete with enormous potential to be a great one! but a lack of maturity,,not discipline bad influences ( he likes to call them friends )and not self confidence got him off track......just a shame, he could one of the best! Congratulations to AH and his family for the support and guide him through!!!!! Great job Mom and Dad!!!!! Cheers from Maui!

Best kiteboarder of all time. No arguments. Inspirational.
Amazing commitment and discipline to the sport and himself to continually progress. The segment in Brazil also shows how humble of a man he is by showing all the fails while working on new techniques. A lot of people have too much ego to include their failures, but that's when you learn the most and success is what the result will be when you have perserverance like he has.
This is so epic. I’ve my first kiteboarding lessons on Saturday! I’m so stoked about it.

Awesome job there Aaron and Laci! I got a bit emotional at the end! I'm with you there at 20 except I started on my own at 35 years old in Qatar on a Flexifoil 5m ...... all the pros were using them, at least that's what the kite shop said! Thank god Robbie got in on the game and helped me survive the next two years down winding on a two line AR3.5 5m! Great to look back but still looking forward to getting on a foil, got one but it's hasn't been in the water yet. Just had rotator cuff surgery but by the time it heals and I can resume my kiting lessons, when I hopefully hit 20 years in the sport, I'll be a few years off from 80! By then I will probably have had all my major joint groups replaced!
I just had my second one in 6 years! Get better!
@@bencce84 Yikes, I hope it wasn't the same shoulder blowing out!? My problem, I had surgery on that shoulder just 18 months earlier where they shaved off a centimeter of my collar bone. Less than 8 weeks later I was rafting class 4 and 5 whitewater. Tomorrow is 7 weeks for my shoulder and I can't do anything but go for walks. They told me 3-6 months healing time. I was going to go to Key West for kiting lessons next month but now I canceled that. It would only be about 2 and a half months out from the surgery. Hope your shoulder is doing great!
@@bencce84 Oh yeah, the surgeon who did mine was a surgeon for 18 years (12 of those as the head orthopedic surgeon) for the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Baseball is all shoulder so I really hope it comes out right, although he said it is all in the healing-meaning I could screw it up and end up back in surgery. I go for a follow up in 3 days and I am nervous and worried.

Always a treat to watch Aaron Hadlow, the last minute is a nice conclusion (although I'm not fan of this harsh side light), but I wish there would be another Andy Gordon Film, those were really something special! :) You've inspired so many with your ease and style. Of course he is very great, but itself those ticks are the same and thousand times watched in other media. I missed info about him as person, what he loves, what his free time, hobbies and other interest and etc. There is nothing what we haven't seen before, except his parents appeareance in movie. Big question what will be to his legs when he will be old after such stressfull unhooked landings. But of course he is very inspiring person and amazing for megaloop inventions with Ruben.

In the park section, I see a lot of blind landings, but with the opposite hand on the bar, wrapped around the body. So like a pop to blind, but letting go with the other hand than normally and having it wrapped in front of the chest and tucked through the opposite armpit. Does this have a name? Since I have never seen this before: when did this come up?
P.S.: it is seen at 22:59 and again in two consecutive tricks starting at 26:45.
This is something new that came from wakeboarding, use can see this landings also in other freestyle sections of the movie. They called it either "fake blind" or "mummy wrap", but I am not so sure, Aaron and the guys would have to confirm ;)

LewisCrathernKitesurfer I m talking about the recent Kota 2016 2017 ... , Kota is based 70% on height and the Vegas is not as good as dice and rebel in jumps . Even in the top 20 on woo u will not find any Vegas .
@@samisubzero It all comes down to individual vision for the sport. Like Aaron said he see Big Air as the extreme discipline and therefore he likes to use C-kites to have the signature extreme yank during the loop (Lewis could speak about the consequences).

I really wanted to love this edit but to me it lacked depth and style, and was maybe shot in 30 fps or something?? Respect the effort but so much potential and a good story, just jagged and hard to watch. Full send next time. In 24fps with a good soundtrack please.
Had low was one of my greatest inspirations but whoever put this movie together did a MASSIVE CRAP on the REAL PIONEERS Of WAKESTYLE. Lou. Fadi, Mauricio, Shannon tons of others were pushing wakestyle from the beginning. Harlow came along second gen and polished the F outta it, but did not bring it to kiting by any means
Dies ist ein gutes Video Verfilmung aber das Kiteboard hat ja Stiefel angeschraubt so das man das Bord nie Verlieren kann außer man bricht sich die Hacke!! Ich habe aber Kitesurfer/innen Beobachtet ohne Stiefel an dem Bord die haben fast die gleichen Figuren gemacht und Viel Schöner Ohne das Bord zu Verlieren wenn die Gesprungen sind in die Luft haben sie das Bord in der Linken oder Rechten Hand gehabt des wegen werde ich hier kein Daumen Hoch oder unten geben da dies mir zu Lasch ausgesehen hat die Preise die er angeblich gewonnen hat müsten eigentlich die Bekommen die ohne Stiefel-Kiteboard auskommen.
