No help members they never asked me if I needed anything I'm not a member but my daughter served in the army and she passed and there was no empathy no love no nothing I can't even go to my daughter's grave as I don't have a car which is not there fault but they see the need no this is a quote
You must be so proud of your daughter.🇺🇸 I'm an Elk from Tarpon Springs FL and we give about $80,000 to law enforcement, veterans, childrens hospitals, and local food banks each year. I hope to increase that. We also volunteer for cleaning up rivers, beaches, and other areas. I'm grateful to be an Elk! God Bless America.

After growing up around a family of fraternal club members including Elks, I only ever saw a great place for guys to get out of the house to hang out. I watched this to see if there was anything I missed. I don’t know if I did. All I heard was “we give back to the community” 1,000 times. Yet I didn’t hear what those things were.

Charities for kids, veterans, homeless, impoverished, students. Scholarships, food drives, hospital visits and so on. Not just eating and drinking at the lodge.

It still feels like separation from church you don't need to be in a club to love the Lord and to do charitable work people do that without any club involvement God bless them but it feels like a Colt
This is awesome. This is so well stated and should be posted by every lodge in order to convey the point of being an Elk as a reminder and to be a perspective to share with potential candidates for being members.
A fraternal order is a fraternity organised as an order, with traits alluding to religious, chivalric or pseudo-chivalric orders, guilds, or secret societies. Contemporary fraternal orders typically have secular purposes, including social, cultural and mutually beneficial or charitable aims. Many friendly societies, benefit societies and mutual organisations take the form of a fraternal order. Fraternal societies are often divided geographically into units called lodges or provinces. They sometimes involve a system of awards, medals, decorations, styles, degrees, offices, orders, or other distinctions, often associated with regalia, insignia, initiation and other rituals, secret greetings, signs, passwords, oaths, and more or less elaborate symbolism, as in chivalric orders.
Everyone who is an elk needs jesus christ not an animal that gives you pride all those good deeds and still won't go to heaven no one enters heaven by lifes boasting pride of good deeds no one enters heaven but by Jesus Christ Not Elks
I’m a Christian and love the Elk’s Club and been a member for over a year. But I’m in the minority. A nonsmoker! The folks I’ve been with are a lot of kind and generous people and even a new man that joined with me is from my neck of the woods in Texas and we’re in Alaska!
I'm a Christian but not an Elk as I live in Northern Ireland. I AM a member of 4 Protestant Fraternal Orders. Because I am a member of these fraternal orders and have a keen interest in Fraternal Orders in general I understand what the speaker is saying about making a difference in people's lives by belonging to the Elks. To any Christian who objects to a person being an Elk I have a question, didn't God create the animal which the Order Of The Elks and it's inspiration is based on? Also does it not say in the Bible that faith without actions is dead. I know of "Christians" who don't help other people or/and talk behind their backs because they are not "Christian" enough but will bend over backwards to help "Christians" like themselves. I know this because it has happened to me.

I still don't know what they do? Get eat and get drunk on the week days and have some mild entertainment?
I know an "Exalted Ruler" who is one of the most sadistic and evil person I've ever met. I would never join a club that elevates those kind of people.

Always wanted to know what they do because my great grandfather was apart of the elks lodge in Los Alamos NM.

You can’t become an Elk if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ
