No other stadium with a fantastic location like this all you Evertonians should be proud of this achievement 🇮🇪🏐👍🏻C. F. C.

From a liverpool fan - Everton's stadium looks great and can't wait to see it open for action
Did the goodison tour yesterday then had a drive over to bmd. First time I've seen it in person and not on a video and I was blown away just how big it is. It dwarfs goodison, it's huge and even after watching virtually every video on its progress I was just stunned seeing it infront of me. Wow indeed.
This video and all the others you’ve filmed will be passed on as an historical diary of Everton FC . Brilliant Nick .
Great update Nick thank you 👏👏👍
This site never ceases to amaze me. When they first started I was convinced the site wasn’t big enough to place the pitch running north/south. Obviously when the built the stands that was put to bed. Then I thought the pitch area looked to small. Hey what do I know!
I have thought the same - but the drone views can give a distorted view and the perspective sometimes can be deceiving...
Brilliant as always Nick…
The North facing roof is the roof you don't put solar PV panels on. The East and West stands make sense to catch the morning and evening light, extending the generation day as the Sun moves from east to south to west. The south stand is the optimum stand though. The east and west stand panels would also have to be tilted to get maximum output and not laid flat as the sun is lower in the morning and evening.
Don't think this is is right: They all work on daylight and they don't need direct sunlight, so I believe.
@@mikeoglen6848 True, but output is maximised in direct sunlight. To maximise output on the south stand ideally the panels should be able to be angled, especially in winter when the sun is lower.
It may be that it is closest to the battery storage area and therefore reduces the cabling requirements
Brilliant Nick fantastic video but I know before I look it will be absolute class video the stadium looks awesome every step of the way from day one you have kept us up to date thank you so much
Great video on channel keep up the great vlog s thanks lee
Looking great nick, it be one of the best stadiums when it’s complete, cannot wait to see it when Pitch is laid ⚽️⚽️
Thanks NIck👍
Thank you.
Hi nick yes even stewards have to oark away from ground good vid as always im nearly week at being 40 . 19 th august was my birthday
Not seen any floodlights yet, anyone know when they are going to be installed?, thanks for the video update.
Looking really good now! If it's possible, next time you're looking at the inside of the south stand could you zoom just behind the goal posts because I'm sure thats the old dock wall. Thanks in advance UTFT
Yeah, it is 👍🏻
I work in a powdercoating industry for steel. We have been powdercoating loads of heavy posts for Everton fc grey colour. I haven't seen one yet on your vids. Would you know where there going ??
There is one striking feature of the South Stand when seen from the south - its Symmeticality...
🤣. I'll let you have your moment of calm by not pointing out the asymmetrical components in the South View.
@@davidbadcock2225 Come off it, david! You have to look long and hard to see the asymmetry there! It isn't jarring like the Vents issue. I do see your point about the East/West stand you made earlier and you have made me look at the two Vents on the West stand which go beyond the Expansion Joint on the Southerly end BUT the effect is much more smooth and harmonious as you can get a line of symmetry with the Vents themselves.
@@mikeoglen6848 🤣. I'd dispute the "really have to look hard" aspect as there are clear differences between the extensions to the West and East. I rest my case in the point that it all depends on the degree of obsession or focus on what one expects or wants to see. Look hard and you'll see symmetry; look hard and you'll find asymmetry. The sooner one comes to terms with that, then the sooner one can relax and enjoy the nods, nuances and quirks.
I wish you the very best.
👍
Mr Drone I don’t know if you’ve mentioned it but where are you hoping to sit ? Can you point the area out
Aha! The AWOL video has appeared.
At 5:17 mins and at 6:55 mins we can see some structures sticking out of the underside of the Viewing Gallery. This MAY be potential preparation for the installation of the side-panels on the ends of the Viewing Gallery. Watch this space.
Nick people probably already know this but I haven't been following much lately, but what are the solar panels actually going to power??.is it just the stadium or surrounding things, it's a lot of panels .....love your vids....
The exact spec has not been made public but broadly-speaking, it'll be helping out reducing the power bills in the stadium. There are batteries within the stadium too. Whilst it might supply a decent proportion of the demand in the off-season/summer, maybe even the majority if there is only Hospitality as the activity on site, it will not be able to supply much proportion on Match days in winter. But it all helps keeps the costs down and contributes to reducing the fossil fuel consumption upstream.
@@davidbadcock2225 thanks David, I presume it has mains supplys also, but for the size of the section of panels would think it generates enough for everything... thanks for reply mate, heard your name mentioned a few times on nicks vids ....cheers mate....
@@trecking Indeed it does have Mains, which is why there are substations in the DNOC (sometimes called the "Media Centre") on the West Quay. Re the PV Array, there are approximately 1300 panels and the latest spec panels can produce up to 540Wph. If one assumes that they're roughly 500W panels, that on average over the year there are 12 daylight hours and that the Array actually succeeds in getting about 75% efficiency out of the mixture of cloud and direct sunlight, then you get an answer of about 5.8MW daily, and about 2GW annually. I don't know whether that really helps as there are so many assumptions and variables involved.
@@davidbadcock2225 brilliant answer mate ..thanks you
I assume the glass panelling will be self cleaning ?
Meant to be, yeah
Ian: "Self-cleaning" is the spec but it's also a misnomer. There is no such glass that can guarantee no cleaning maintenance. Without going into the science, it will resist most dirt clinging on but it would be described better as "Low Maintenance". That's not as captivating terminology as "Self-cleaning". It will mean that there will have to be some maintenance but nowhere near as much as 'standard glass'.
Just self dirtying
@@Ian-gd5sp They won’t self clean seagull shite, that’s for sure
@@markkirwin3883 😀
Can you show us where the tv gantry is going to be .thank you
You’ll need to watch the west stand video. The main TV camera gantry is at the bottom of the upper west stand tier, just above the higher executive boxes
Johny: as Dunc states. The Secondary camera plinth is directly opposite the main one, on the East Stand. In the plans there were meant to be 5 more subsidiary TV Camera locations (the 4 corners and centre of the South Stand, at the Lower Tier back-wall) but the installation of seats in the expected areas means that is now questionable.
Apparently the Solar panels will generate enough energy to power a whole match day.
Not if it’s raining
"Apparently"? Who says?
As far as I'm aware, the exact spec has not been made public but interpreting the demand and supply, I'd predict it might supply a decent proportion of the demand in the off-season/summer, maybe even the majority if there is only Hospitality as the activity on site but it will not be able to supply much proportion on Match days in winter.
No parking!
There will be parking for people at the club but not supporters I think same as every ground
u cant really park at any ground tho u always have to find areas around the place to park
I can't understand why the Wirral hasn't jumped on this and run a ferry.
If it was built in the 60s they would of been on before they started building.
@@paulsergeant9518 they will prob use existing ferries and charge more money to see the stadium mate since they changed it from public transport to a sight seeing tour
There are plans to use a lot more buses linked to the train stations of Lime Street and Moorfields. Whether they run buses from Pier Head remains to be seen. The soccer buses are normally covered by saveaway and the 60+ bus pass
Best ground in the championship next season, there due a relegation
Is your throat sore ya sound bit groggy
