Great watching someone so dialed in and skilled at their craft. I just finished making a board couple weeks ago after watching all your vids and turned out great, been surfing it about a week now and loving it. Rather than 20 minutes took me few days to shape lol, no power tools tho. All your tips helped heaps, made a fred tool and wire rail gauges etc and not to touch the outline. Cheers keep up the vids.
Very impressive as always. Your master would be proud. 2 questions Couldn't find a bigger saw? Would you cut v into the bottom at the very first after skinning the blank? Once again, impressive to watch a pro. Watching your videos sill give me the confidence to build my own. Had to put it on hold though
Yes there is a single concave. On this one I will have a single 6 oz deck and I will not sand any of the lap so concave will increase even more so I have that calculated in.
Hey Matt, quick question when you're sanding the rails out. It seems like in the video you're running the screen pretty close/on the apex with blending the top/bottom bands. Are you using really light pressure when sanding them out with that method? I've noticed blending rails with this technique is hard to dial in perfect.
U r the Man!!Love watching U shape.I do repairs to Boats and Surfcraft.learning to shape now.Thanx for the Inspiration.
It never gets old! Watching a board being made.
Thanks for posting this Matt, start to finish in less than 22 minutes. Very impressive 👏
