Oh my god the wall-collapsing tactic on Yue Jin. That's VILLAINOUS and brilliant. So glad you were able to recruit him too! He's one of my favourite generals :D
I've watched this without commenting so far but I think this is one of your more unbelievable campaigns, lol. I would not have imagined this was possible. Whenever I start in the north, if my diplomacy goes poorly (eg. Yuan Shao and Liu Bei team up on me too quickly) I usually just die. Kudos.
Knocking out Yue Jin with a castle wall was brilliant, but I have to say the most satisfying thing is watching enemy units break under the Bei Hai barrage
This Is Total War campaigns are always a balance of "declaring on everyone just to get it over with" vs "limiting who sees you so you can handle the immediate problems"
Loving every video as always, csn i ask why did you place the archer behind the fury of Beihai? did the archer have bigger range that fury of Beihai? or do you have any other tactical reason?
@@SeriousTrivia when you defend the port in lean just post your army outside the settlement put in ambush mode you defend outside the wall but whit the moral advantage
if you are referring to the end of the episode with just the vanguard, then I would say it is not worth the risk since: 1. the "two" armies don't belong to the same faction or even an allied faction, so they can't attack us "together". 2. ambushes can fail especially on the open plains outside of the port with only 45% ambush chance (and this is not taking into consideration of any ambush avoidance percentage that they might have). 3. worst case scenario, the ambush gets discovered and they can both attack the vanguard separately and if either of those armies have night battle, our general just basically died for nothing. 4. slightly better scenario, the ambush succeeds and we take out the first army with ease, then the second army has night battle and our vanguard dies for nothing. 5. best case scenario, neither armies have night battle, the first army falls for an ambush and then the second army backs off. current scenario, we get both weak armies to stand there and our bandit comes next turn and we can clean wipes on both.

49:20 the next time you say ‘I done this before’, I’ll immediately believe you. That’s a crazy move wow
okay that siege was impressive.
i was genuinely amazed by that boulder smash trick. you did yu jin dirty.
Loving this series, super cool to see situations where you need to pull tricks like the wall collapse.

That wall trick was so dirty, really enjoying this series keep them coming
RIP Yue Jin. Great timing on the shot!
Falling rocks to the eye impressed Yue Jin enough to join the winning side
That was amazing! The wall breaking/killing character strategy was impeccable. Ill start using it too. Thanks! Waiting for next episode)

You're so good at this!
These videos can’t come soon enough❤
that duel wall collapse tech was so cool!
1:02:00 well played ST. was on my toes on this one due time.
I like the generic generals (fictional or historical) being featured. I know it's not a big deal, but I think it's cool.
You turn this game into Baldur gate, TW3 developer is like, “whattttt, the game could do that 😳”
I'm surprised Taishi Ci didn't show up! Maybe the event bugged out because of the war with Liu Bei.

Nope they were basically not an important part of the army and I just wanted the fury to get first shot
i was so into to this game , but im more into it if i get knowledge like you bro . haha
Honestly you should start making youtube shorts, especially after that wall collapse trick, its also a great way to gain subscribers

So good to hear!
49:25 beauty
What’s the key setup for a great duelling general that AI will always be willing to duel with also
look weak on paper and then use something like tenacity of steel to boost stats later
try to ambush more is great way to get advantage vs 2 army
I don't think we had many great ambush opportunities so far in this campaign
