Yes 🤘🏻 finally. Looking forward to this. Randy is a fascinating individual and a great ambassador of positivity in the metal genre. I also love the fact that he’s a punk rocker who ended up as the singer of a metal band.
Not as much of an ambassador as Matt Heafy of Trivium. He supports the metal genre as a whole way more then randy

He doesn’t promote new bands, or produce new bands or even as supportive of other current bands like matt among other stuff. Defiantly not as positive or enthusiastic. Randy is one of the worst when it comes to promoting & supporting new bands
@@Celestial_Being666 Not true. Randy went out of his way to promote Power Trip and Fit for an autopsy and Gatecreeper. Randy doesn’t use social media at all - out of personal choice, which is nothing to do with not wanting to promote bands, it’s a personal choice for his mental health.
And that is subjective. Like I said, we won’t agree, so there’s no point in debating something that is not objective or measurable or quantifiable. It’ll be your word against mine. Pointless debate
@@Grimeyhoobfor the record I mean this as discussion not argument or debate. Power Trip & Fit For An Autopsy been around since 2008. Gatecreeper 2014. New bands like Frozen Soul or Malevolence or newer. I also didn’t consider the fact his anti social media means he’s not as open like Matt. Like you said it’s more in secret for mental health but when a musician is open it’s easier to know the truth. Even randy admitted he’s bad at promoting his own stuff let alone someone else. Listen to it if you want I don’t care. Matt isn’t like that. He actually cares

I've had the unique honor of hanging with randy (along with the rest of the festival crew) when they came for a tour to bangalore, and it was the most chilled out, normal conversation we all had. And we were fanboying HARD. But he brought such a normal, decent, gentlemanly vibe that just put everyone at ease that everyone just sat around with some Chai and talked about real shit. It was amazing, not pretentious in the least, and has forever made me respect someone who just treats crew, who ate HUGE fans, like regular people and he is at the end of the day, just another VERY INTELLIGENT guy, sitting around and having a real heart to heart chat. Lovely guy. And as always, talks a lot of sense and dispenses with a lot of negative thought patterns we may often find ourselves being slaves to.
Jeez.. I've been asking Months for Randy such a funny and humble guy,thank you for this one Robb

These stories of yours are so fucking awesome. I had Burn My Eyes on cassette tape in '94. I would listen to it on my Sony Walkman repeatedly on the way to school in the 9th grade. I love how you guys have matured musically. I think the latest album might be the best!

having lost my grandparents already, that ending hit close to home. But I gotta do that same thing with my pops. Their grandkids then maybe got to know how they were, I really like that idea of interviewing and maybe somewhat trying to save these stories from your parents and grandparents. history gets us all in the end, but if you do not make any records, all that knowledge, all those memories will be lost. On the one hand, everzone basically immortalizes their freaking breakfast on instagram these days, but that shit will be worthless. What will be of high value are these documents, conversations with your parents, maybe a picture of a shared vacation, an old hat or a car or what have you, that has some personal meaning.
I don’t know how I missed this episode Robb, but I love that you and Randy are unapologetic about your decisions and most of all, basic facts. Much love to you both.
