Thank you. I do often take people with me on my hunts. I am pretty much done for the year with the cool weather coming. Send me a text to 801-787-5866 with your name, and mention where you live, and I will get you on one of my future hunts.
My family and I've been foraging mushrooms in the the South slope and North slope of the Eastern Uinta's for about the last 10 years. Most years it's pretty okay and a couple-few years its been all but totally dry. Some years though, when the rain is good, it is absolutely without a doubt mind blowing. This year was okay.
Did you see any Chanterelles? We've been getting skunked on those out here. Really good luck on Kings though. Where about were you out here- up Red Cloud Loop or something?
We didn't find any Chanterelles on this trip. I was really hoping for them, but never did find them on this trip. Yes, we were on Red Cloud Loop, right at the top looking in areas at 9,000 ft and higher.
Yeah, there were so many to be found up there. We found 6 to 8 of them literally right along the road. It truly was crazy!! That is such a fun area to hunt!!

Goodness! Fun day right there
Yeah, it was a fun hunt. My best King Mushroom hunt this year. Honestly, it pales compared to my hunts last year though!! Last year was insane!!
Cute little squeaky kids. :-)

We've found a number of them in various places up there right on the road shoulder too. Crazy.

Nice video Blaine! Was gonna ask how do you cook your kings?
I prefer them cooked in butter, salt, pepper, and garlic. But they are great in stroganoff, and they are really yummie breaded and fried as well!!
@@UtahMushroomHunter thank you!! Definitely gonna try the stroganoff!
I will still get you out on a mushroom hunt too!! Not sure if it will be this year or next, but I will get you out on one eventually!!
Me and my girlfriend are looking forward to it! We are in no rush if it's this year or next year, we will be ready! Thank you in advance! 🙏
I'd love to go with you. Please let me know how to sign up. I live in Utah County
