    You put the spring on upside down on the first shock

      Really, thought they were on the same way on both. Writing the same way.

    On the top rubber mount which hole do you put the Allen key in the mount as there are 3 on the new ones I'm fitting .
    Just need the orientation of how it sits under the wheel arch.
    Is it the one with the white ring around it and a cut out.?
    Looks like someone had changed one before and put it in wrong as my strut is 1° out when I got it tracked and it doesn't sit in the middle of the body work hole.
    Hope you can help.

      Hi,
      Yes, I've already done the cambelt on this car. Unfortunately I didn't get around to filming it.

    Hi mate, how is your car?
    which tire and wheel do you use? I want to put the 30mm in my car but I'm afraid to get the tire on the fender

    • @myds3240

      I've got the standard size tyres on 205/45/17. The alloys are Team Dynamics pro 1.2 and have a et15 so have a bit more poke.
      I have no issues with scrubbing.

    Nice video Dev. What’s the drop size on these springs?

    • @myds3240
      @myds3240  3 года назад +1

      Thank you, they are meant to be 30mm front and back on my car.
      Straight after fitted the dropped the front 20mm and the rear 10mm.
      I can see it's dropping more already, I'll have a measure over the weekend and report back.

      @@myds3240 how much did the springs cost?

    • @myds3240
      @myds3240  3 года назад +1

      @@SmishySmashy I bought them for £120 from the AutoDoc app. They retail at £177 on the Eibach UK site.
      They're now have dropped to 30mm on the front but only 12mm on the rear. Think I could do with having some rear passengers to help the rear drop more.

    Hi, how did you remove the suspension strut without separating the hub from the suspension triangle ? On my 208 I need to remove the bottom hub mount to drop the hub far enough down ...

    • @myds3240
      @myds3240  3 года назад +1

      Hi,
      I was able push the hub down enough to get the strut out, it was very tight in getting it out.
      The workshop manual and some other guides do remove the hub from the car.

    Took my ds3 to atS today to fit rear springs, he said he couldn’t do it as the bolt wouldn’t come out as the shocks pushes down on the nut element on the outside? Your video makes it seem a lot easier?

    • @myds3240
      @myds3240  Год назад +1

      Hi,
      Sorry I've only just seen your comment.
      Did you manage to get your rear springs replaced?
      The mechanic should have figured out a way to remove the load off the bolt like maybe having something under the wheel?
