I use them because cell phones have crap cameras, and it helps, but it certainly doesn't replace a real camera, they still are a fixed focal length, they will never replace a real camera, no matter what the manufacturers say.
Is a polarizer like this, enough to take a picture of the moon? not talking about zoom but the fact that the moon looks just like a ball of light and not like it looks to the naked eye
Thanks for the review. I bought these filters a couple of months ago, and have been disappointed, though. With a case on my iPhone, it's hard to tell if the clip is positioned properly over the lenses. Also, the back side of the clip covers some of the UI controls in filming apps (i.e.; Filmic Pro), so you can't change white balance and other settings without taking the clip off. I assume these filters would work better attached to a third-party smartphone lens like those sold by Sandmarc and Moment instead of with the clip. Hope your results are better.
Yeah they are definitely meant to be used for 'naked' phones. Funnily I didn't have any of theses Issues because I was mainly using the stock camera app for the course. Using them on the lenses with a proper case from them will surely be the best option.

I have not tested polar pro filters yet, I just know that sandmarc has a very high quality

The area around the lenses A.K.A the backside of the phone is to reflective. 5:26 Maybe the reflections will be less prominent when you DIY a black non reflective mask around the lenses. Black paper or something

Should all cameras be covered by the filter? I have an iphone 13 pro max but if I align it to a camera the other 2 get partially covered.
the one you are using should be covered.. but actually yes - it should be above all 3
@@smartphonefilmmakingpro thank you soo much for your reply. I just think the inside of the clip is too small and always covers partially at least one of my cameras. I have to take my time to align it and still sometimes I get like a black spot in one corner.
