  • Elly De La Cruz made his MLB debut yesterday, 6/6/23 and immediately showed his upside. In today's game however, he somehow outdid the performance from his debut, hitting his first career HR and later in the game his first career triple! He recorded the fastest sprint speed in MLB this year in that triple.

I was at his debut game. Seeing him run on a screen doesn't give him justice as to how it looked in person. He hit the ball, I saw it bounce, looked back and he was past 1st. I thought he was going for 3.

That speed and skill at that size? It's like if someone like LeBron grew up playing baseball instead of basketball. Seems like a generational superstar if he can stay healthy.

There is some great young talent out there. More so than I can ever remember. Being a Royals fan With Jr. is my favorite but a huge fan of Acuna Jr. and Julio. I also have a lot of love for the Braves and M's. I was born in Atlanta and grew up watching the Braves on TBS from the KC area and the M's low A minors team was in Clinton Iowa when I was there for college.
