  • Join us on a journey aboard the FrontRunner commuter rail system! This 83-mile corridor connects 16 stations across Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties. As we glide through Utah population centers, you’ll experience the convenience of complimentary Wi-Fi, restrooms, and even a designated bike storage car. Whether you’re commuting or simply exploring, FrontRunner offers a comfortable and efficient way to travel.
We’re traveling aboard one of Utah Transit Authority, UTA for short, trains between Ogden and Salt Lake City. The train is composed of three Bombardier bi-level cars, the standard modern commuter car in North America. These were originally designed in the mid-1970’s by Hawker Siddeley in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, and after a number of manufacturer ownership changes became a Bombardier product. With the recent acquisition of Bombardier by Alstom, it is now offered by the latter company.
    Enjoy the trip!

They had planned to hold the Comet cars in reserve for ridership spikes, but have decided it isn’t worth it. They are being auctioned off.

Thanks for this information; I guess the bi-levels provide more than enough capacity.
