Thank-you for the kind words.
I had to revisit your channel to let you know I watched your video and fixed my fireplace all by myself! I was thrilled to have this knowledge and was able to fix it for only $10 by purchasing a CW 15-18 RPM motor online. Thank you for making these helpful videos. 😊
Glad I could help! I love your Embroider on a Baseball !!!! CHANNEL RON Baseball (:
@@channelron3593 Thank you! 😊
@@channelron3593 - I fixed my second fireplace. This was for my grandson. It also needed a new mother. He was thrilled. So thanks again! 😊
Thank you! I fixed my fireplace with your help. The comments about the CW, CCW helped, because I couldn't find a CW. Just turning it off and on again will make the flames dance up instead of down. I had a $500 fireplace that you helped me fix for $10. I also bought an extra motor just in case.
Mine didn't have a cotter pin. And the new moter did have a bigger shaft, but I was able to squeeze it in without having to route out the rubber sleeve.
Thanks so much!!
Glad I could help!
Thanks for doing this! I got a noisy motor, now I know I will need to replace it.
Any time!
Thank you for your help gentleman!
Any time!
Hubby was able to change light bulbs in bottom of fireplace. Problem is now the flames are white instead of orange or yellow. He purchases ‘day light’ bulbs. That could be the issue. What do you think?
Day light bulbs would make a whiter light. I'd use a normal clear light bulb, or find out what the manufacturer recommended and use that. Also if for some reason a colored lens (if the fireplace uses one) was removed to replace the bulbs make sure that was put back in place.
What if the reflective wheel is turning, the small LED bulbs mounted on a circuit board respond to power applied to the soldered circuit spots, but the LEDs aren't turning on when using the remote? My bf knows electrical and is stumped as to why our lights aren't turning on. The heater part does work. We got the insert today from my grandparents. Not sure if something got disturbed during transport. Any advice? Please and thank you. Hopefully I'll see any response.
Wow? well sound like the board for the LED's could have a crack? dose not take much for them to break as they are fragile, not sure?
Please help - my problem is my dimplex has a motor with a third brown wire. I have no idea what that 3rd wire is for and can’t find one with three wires (mine are white, brown, black) and it’s cw, 2-5w, 10rpm, 60hz, 120v.
not sure maybe cap of the brown and try.
The lights. Aren't coming on and the not burnt out but not coming on any ideas??
Could be the main board? I would test with multimeter to see if any voltaded is getting to the lights.
what is the 4mms to 7mms tubing called, thank you
Not sure what that is? to me it was just a Piece of tubing of some sort?
I'm kinda' surprised that you didn't start by checking the connections leading to the motor. "Made In China" ... the connections could easily have been poorly done and taken a few seasons to manifest.
Yeah, I know, but from what I have seen, all of these are junk, and that's just the problem. But you are right.
Hey, I got a problem with my heater. If you can help me figure out what’s wrong with it works fine however but the thing is where the heat generates at the bottom liquid like every 5 to 10 to 15 seconds and it won’t turn back on for like 15 minutes at the very least.
Sounds like it is overheating? and shutting down. try take compressed air with it off and take outdoors and blow away as much dust as you can?
