@SamYoung4x4 fair enough but you will be paying big bucks on 98. I also have an 80 I put whatever into it usually E10. I'm over in Liverpool in Sydney and am spending around $1.75 per litre. The other day I found a station for $1.68.
@@dcameron0500The difference in safety margin for knock from "whatever" to 98 is the reason. I think the economy comment is compared to E85 with 30% extra fuel off the bat. 98 is pretty much non negotiable for an engine like this, power would be extremely compromised for 91 or 95...

Why couldn't you stick to Ethenol?
its a bad idea to store a car with ethanol its hygroscopic and causes rust, this is why they swapped out the injectors to stainless internals.

E85 isn't readily available in Australia and realistically, any increase in fuel economy & range is needed for any sort of travel
