Glad you guys are still supporting Audyssey despite Dirac’s momentum. I have both, and hands down I think MultEQ X produces better results. Kudos to Denon and Marantz for including both, as their competition will only make them better.

And I'm not having a good experience with the whole Dirac universe at the moment 🙈

Not that you could tell from this video. Very apparent that Massimo owns the Audyessy mobile app and that MQ-X is standalone product sold direct by Audyessy. According to this video you can get the same results from both apps. Zero attention given to the advanced features of MQ-X which put it miles ahead of the mobile app.

Used this video to fine tune and override.
    Best results yet.
    Thanks for the video!!!
Please in future updates and if not possible, create receivers with more than two profiles for those with multiple environments.
E.g Open or closed doors /movable walls etc...

What an amazing video, the best explanation of how to tune Audyssey I have ever seen, and I have been looking for a lot of videos to get my system setup just right. Thanks so much for this.

Excellent video, very educational but is overwhelming for me😢, I bought the android app version for 20.00 dollars and the result is good enough for me 😊

It is sad you don't have a Mac version, but I can run Dirac on my Mac. Audyssey needs to step up.

Will Audyssey offer individual subwoofer calibration in the future? Kind of competition for Dirac DLBC?

I would love to try this out but given my AVR is 4 years old, I am hesitant as then I will have to purchase this again as its tied to the machine. That continues to be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks for sharing that video. I’m not understanding what microphone you’re using, how you’re getting it into the computer, and how do you transfer the files into your receiver?

Hopefully the ability to use Dynamic EQ without the surround channels volume boosting aspect will be in the next major update. It's the only thing holding me back from buying MultEQ-X. Especially for gaming, the surround channels are too loud and the Ref. Level Offset is not a suitable / effective solution.
There simply needs to be an off option for the surround channels volume in relation to the rest of what Dynamic EQ does. Dynamic EQ is great, but the extra loud surround channels have been a massive headache for many users for years, with content such as games and music mixed in Dolby Atmos.

I use software called Multi Sub Optimizer that can do advanced sub optimizations over multiple seats, particularly if you run 4 subs (typically placed in the 4 room corners) and your AVR only has two independent sub outs, but MultiEQ-X is nice because it's such a simple tool and if you only have two subs with two independent sub outs it can be plenty good enough.

Several newer Denon (3800H and higher) along with Marantz (Cinema 50 and higher) AVRs now include 4 subwoofers

I've sent the calibration results to my Denon AVR with MRC on and off. I prefer off because I've lost some some high frequency hearing (not unusual at my age) and it gives me a subtle difference in overall "brightness" in the sound. The other thing is that Audyssey, in any of it three versions (AVR, EQ app or EQ-X) tends to set crossovers that are sometimes odd. As an example, my center speaker is an RSL CG25 with a nominal frequency range of 51-35000 hz but Audyssey always sets it at 40hz I could set it at 60hz but why make my Denon x3800 work that hard? I always set it to 80hz anyway . I love EQ-X's flexibility. When you live in a typical residential neighborhood, running Audyssey in a pristine silent atmosphere can be trying. If, lets say, a car goes by during tones to one mic location,EQ-X lets you cancel and instantly repeat it or wait until the calibration is done and repeat that location afterwards. The EQ app is pretty good but is a bit more cumbersome at times and the internal AVR version lets you cancel and redo a location but is very limited and you can't customize the results. AudysseyEQ-X, along with its calibrated microphone is $280 but if you want to get the most out of your system its worth it. The only drawback is that can be licensed to one AVR only and can't be used on any other AVR. That does kind of suck.🤮

How many separate files can you save? This seems great to use for most movies but music has so many variances I find myself manually adjusting my subs etc. when playing music from different sources etc. song by song.

Why is Mr Jones pronouncing it "ard-issey" instead of "ord-issey"? Does he pronounce AUDIO as "ardio"? Bizarre, and very jolting to hear every time he says it! Anyway, thanks for the useful video!
