9 hours is not too long to celebrate a legend who has served the world for more than 7 decades. Aretha was the Queen and deserved a royal farewell.
Man I sat right here & watched the WHOLE service, I deserve a plate from the repast! 😂
The preachers said,"This service is already gon' be long. Don't make it no longer. Do what the program says do and nothing else. We ain't playing!" I love my Black church heritage!
I’m looking back at this almost 4 years later. It’s amazing how this service brought so many friends and enemies together in one room. Just shows the powerful influence the queen of soul had on so many folks.

i watched live for hours it made me happy to see and hear gospel soul again its been too long and is a blessing thank you.
funeral longer than my relationships
Ohhh when I found out she passed away my heart broke. She had so much soul. Her voice came from some place deep. She sung with so much heart.
I started work 5:30am PDT and started streaming the funeral. It was still going on at the end of my work day. But I stayed until the end. That's how you honor a Queen.
All the church songs really lifted my spirit
361:00 knew when Fantasia took her shoes off she was bout to deliver some righteous vocals. Love her. Miss Aretha Franklin may she rest in peace and continue singing up in heaven. A real icon. Forever loved and never replaced.

Found myself back here - what a service.
I remember this day like it was yesturday. I ate my breakfast made my lunch and sat infront the tv and nobody dared to move me cause they know how much I love her. I left the tv after the funeral. My mom watched me cry.
What a Great Lady we have lost. When I get to Heaven I know she will be up there singing away. RIP lovely lady. You will be missed. You gave so much down here on earth.

Watched the entire ceremony and it felt like I was back in school, Church Style. Praise God and Praise all that came to pay tribute and sing in honor of the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin! Rest Beautifully with Respect!
