I was able to aquire my high school diploma from Penn foster. It took me 6months. Before i enrolled myself into Penn Foster, i didn't realize how significant having a diploma was. It very important in todays job market. It's a minumin requirement.

I'm a Penn Foster student, and I just love the high school program. I'm in the accelerated program and my progress in my study courses is coming along just fine, and I love their pay as you go option. I can't wait to graduate and get both my class ring and diploma. Planning to enroll my son too, since our local college raised tuition again another 33%. What I like about your school is that you include books with each program vs high cost of college book. I will not give into our local college's greed. Now I plan on e rolling all of my children to a online low cost school.

If you want a successful career, the people you're around is just as important as your work ethic. The right people will point you in the right direction and expose you to new perspectives and better ideas. If you're looking to become a Plumber, Pharmacy Technician, Locksmith, etc look into joining or starting a meetup group. Talk to other people (where you live) who are already working those jobs. Ask lots of questions and get their feedback on what they think you need to break into the field. Some of the group members (if they happen to work as managers) can give you tips on how to interview and what employers in that field are looking for. Do your research before spending money on school! Think about what you specifically need out of a job. How much money do you need to make? What kind of environment or hours are you looking for? Do you need flexible hours, or are you fine with an everyday 9-5 schedule? Here's my advice, look at the lowest paying job in the field where you live. Would you be OK with that job? Don't assume you're going to get the best or average job starting out.
I am attending online classes with Penn Foster and it's amazingly cheap. I can pay 1100-1200 a semester up front and if all these are paid you get the 8th semester free if you are in the bachelor's degree program such as I am,but in the associates programs if you pay 3 semesters upfront then your 4th semester is free. Its definitely accredited and you definitely will get a very good education. Now if you aren't a self starter that can learn on your own then this program is not for you. If you are like me you will do great.

No school credential alone will guarantee an employer will hire someone after earning it, but learning, and doing what you can to gain experience, will absolutely open doors for you.
Penn Foster how about telling the Credit Bureau to erase my name because if its pay as you go I shouldn't owe shit. You cut the class after i couldn't pay so how is that possible. This whole system is a bunch of crooks
The thing with penn foster. Is they are willing to accept some payment. As long as you can put something, they will keep it open. By law, when people make the effort to pay, the other party has no real case if they were to purse in a civil matter, because attempts of PROOF payments would be clarified... I made the mistake at first by attempting to believe the same
(pay as you go) i had lost my job at the time and thought i had to pay the full 50$ (not knowing better. Or reaching out to them) so after a few months they cancelled me out and reported me to a credit b. as well... Luckily it was ONLY 200$ to clear my name off.
Once i got my shit back together i re-enrolled with penn foster, made sure my ass stayed on them payments of what i could pay, and now i am a GRADUATE! :)

Take their Quickbooks course instead- bookkeeping from PF is worthless on a Resume`. I took Rutgers bookkeeping course after completing Pen Foster's; needless to say I got a job rather than a laugh. Their Quickbooks course is great.

I’m enrolled in the high school right now. Penn Foster is a great school. I’m happy with the program and I have been learning and refreshing on a lot of subjects. It’s 21.5 credits including 5 electives at which you can choose from their huge selection.
Biden’s $10,000 student loan forgiveness will Penn Foster be apart of this forgiveness program in the near future to help student loan debt ?
Penn Foster doesn’t give students loans and students pay out of pocket.

My only complaint is; when my child needs help, he contacts an "instructor" who says nothing more than "you just need to read a little further" no matter how repeatedly he's covered the material and no matter how frustrated he is. Ultimately he guesses at the answer and ends up even more frustrated when he's unable to perform as well as he'd like on exams. It's a very independent program. Instructors should be labeled something else.

It's pay as you go but once you stop the payment for any reason the will threatened you with putting you in the credit bureau. But it's pay as you go which means when you stop payments they stop the class

Yep its a business lol. Its so cheap I don't understand how anyone can complain about paying. My daughter pays more for just her books and supplies for the university she attends than I pay for everything in a semester. She wishes her school was as cheap as Penn Foster but they don't have an Rn program for nursing.

You really want regional accreditation not national. This will come into play if you ever want to go back to a traditional brick and mortar college.
The college has articulation agreements with several regionally accredited colleges such as Western Governor University and Walden University so that’s not an issue.

Penn Foster was the worst mistake of my life. They penalize you for trying to complete the course too fast. If u try to drop their program they threaten you to collections or make u pay fees for not completing. I did not find their program challenging and their staff are not very helpful and are rude. I enjoyed secretgedloophole better than I did penn foster.
